    drm/msm: Nuke preclose hooks

Left around the unused (and null) preclose fxn ptr, and things
predictibly explode when you try to call that.

fcda50c8f4 drm/msm: rename hdmi symbols
Global symbols in the kernel should be prefixed by the name
of the subsystem and/or driver to avoid conflicts when all
code is built-in.

In this case, function names like 'hdmi_register' or 'hdmi_set_mode'
are way too generic for an MSM specific DRM driver, so I'm renaming
them all to msm_hdmi_* here.

I also rename a lot of the 'static' symbols along with the global
names for consistency, even though those are relatively harmless;
they might only be slightly confusing when they show up in
backtraces.

f8c47144bf drm/<drivers>: Drop DRM_UNLOCKED from modeset drivers
Just one special case (since i915 lost its ums code, yay):
- radeon: Has slots for the old ums ioctls which don't have
DRM_UNLOCKED, but all filled with drm_invalid_op. So ok to drop it
  everywhere.

Every other kms driver just has DRM_UNLOCKED for all their ioctls, as
they should.

v2: admgpu happened, include that one too. And i915 lost its UMS
support which means we can change all the i915 ioctls too.

v3: Rebased on top of new vmwgfx DX interface extensions.

v4: Rebase on top of render-node support in exynos.

b44f84081b drm: Stop using drm_vblank_count() as the hw frame counter
drm_vblank_count() returns the software counter. We should not pretend
it's the hw counter since we use the hw counter to figuere out what the
software counter value should be. So instead provide a new function
drm_vblank_no_hw_counter() for drivers that don't have a real hw
counter. The new function simply returns 0, which is about the only
thing it can do.

9b7a9fc29a drm/msm: Set different display size limitation on each target
The maximum output width of one pipeline depends on the LayerMixer's

c93546a5e3 Merge tag 'topic/atomic-core-2015-01-05' of git://anongit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel into drm-next
Next batch of atomic work. Most important is the propertification from Rob
and the nth iteration of the actual atomic ioctl originally from Ville.
Big differences compared to earlier revisions:
- Core properties are now fully handled by the core, drivers can only
  handle driver-specific properties.
- Atomic props&ioctl are opt-in per file_priv, userspace needs to
explicitly ask for it (like universal plane support).
- For now all hidden behind the atomic module option until this has
  settled a bit.
- Atomic modesets are currently not possible since the exact abi for how
to handle the mode property is still under discussion.

Besides this some cleanup patches from me and the addition of per-object
state to global state backpointers to simplify drivers.

b4274fbee6 drm/atomic-helper: Again check modeset *before* plane states
This essentially reverts

commit 934ce1c236
Author: Rob Clark <robdclark@gmail.com>
Date: Wed Nov 19 16:41:33 2014 -0500

    drm/atomic: check mode_changed *after* atomic_check

Depending upon the driver both orders (or maybe even interleaving) is
required:
- If ->atomic_check updates ->mode_changed then helper_check_modeset
  must be run afters.
- If ->atomic_check depends upon accurate adjusted dotclock values for
e.g. watermarks, then helper_check_modeset must be run first.

The failure mode in the first case is usually a totally angry hw
because the pixel format switching doesn't happen. The failure mode in
the later case is usually nothing, since in most cases the old
adjusted mode from the previous modeset wont be too far off to be a
problem. So just underruns and perhaps even just suboptimal (from a
power consumption) watermarks.

Furthermore in the transitional helpers we only call ->atomic_check
after the new modeset state has been fully set up (and hence
computed).

Given that asymmetry in expected failure modes I think it's safer to
go back to the older order. So do that and give msm a special check
function to compensate.

Also update kerneldoc to explain this a bit.

v2: Actually add the missing hunk Rob spotted.

v3: Move msm_atomic_check into msm_atomic.c, requested by Rob.

77a147e742 drm/msm: Allow exported dma-bufs to be mapped
Currently msm does not implement gem_prime_mmap. Without this it is not
possible to draw onto a dma-buf from userspace (making its very hard to
implement the Android rendering model).

Fixing this is just a matter of adding a little boilerplate.

d65bd0e431 drm/msm/mdp4: fix blend setup with multiple crtcs
In particular, blend_setup() should not overwrite the other crtc's mixer
settings. Also, the encoder needs to be able to specify the mixer-id
explicitly, since both LVDS and DTV use 'INTF_LVDC_DTV', so we cannot
guess the mixer-id from the interface.

915b4d11b8 drm: add driver->set_busid() callback
One step closer to dropping all the drm_bus_* code:
Add a driver->set_busid() callback and make all drivers use the generic
helpers. Nouveau is the only driver that uses two different bus-types with
the same drm_driver. This is totally broken if both buses are available on
the same machine (unlikely, but lets be safe). Therefore, we create two
different drivers for each platform during module_init() and set the
set_busid() callback respectively.

a1ad352333 drm/msm: fix potential deadlock in gpu init
Somewhere along the way, the firmware loader sprouted another lock
dependency, resulting in possible deadlock scenario:

 &dev->struct_mutex --> &sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#2 --> &mm->mmap_sem

which is problematic vs things like gem mmap.

So introduce a separate mutex to synchronize gpu init.

To ease debugging, add debugfs file which can be cat/tail'd to log

triggered the GPU hang.
