bdc0feee05 perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix IIO event constraints for Snowridge
According to the latest uncore document, DATA_REQ_OF_CPU (0x83),
DATA_REQ_BY_CPU (0xc0) and COMP_BUF_OCCUPANCY (0xd5) events have
constraints. Add uncore IIO constraints for Snowridge.

e324234e0a perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix filter_tid mask for CHA events on Skylake Server
According Uncore Reference Manual: any of the CHA events may be filtered
by Thread/Core-ID by using tid modifier in CHA Filter 0 Register.
Update skx_cha_hw_config() to follow Uncore Guide.

5863702561 perf/x86/vlbr: Add c->flags to vlbr event constraints
Just like what we do in the x86_get_event_constraints(), the
PERF_X86_EVENT_LBR_SELECT flag should also be propagated
to event->hw.flags so that the host lbr driver can save/restore
MSR_LBR_SELECT for the special vlbr event created by KVM or BPF.

0fe39a3929 perf/x86/lbr: Reset LBR_SELECT during vlbr reset
lbr_select in kvm guest has residual data even if kvm guest is poweroff.
We can get residual data in the next boot. Because lbr_select is not
reset during kvm vlbr release. Let's reset LBR_SELECT during vlbr reset.

2de71ee153 perf/x86/intel: Fix ICL/SPR INST_RETIRED.PREC_DIST encodings
This patch fixes the encoding for INST_RETIRED.PREC_DIST as published by Intel
(download.01.org/perfmon/) for Icelake. The official encoding
is event code 0x00 umask 0x1, a change from Skylake where it was code 0xc0
umask 0x1.

With this patch applied it is possible to run:
$ perf record -a -e cpu/event=0x00,umask=0x1/pp .....

Whereas before this would fail.

To avoid problems with tools which may use the old code, we maintain the old
encoding for Icelake.

ba51521b11 perf/x86/intel/uncore: Use to_pci_driver() instead of pci_dev->driver
Struct pci_driver contains a struct device_driver, so for PCI devices, it's
easy to convert a device_driver * to a pci_driver * with to_pci_driver().
The device_driver * is in struct device, so we don't need to also keep
track of the pci_driver * in struct pci_dev.

Replace pdev->driver with to_pci_driver().  This is a step toward removing
pci_dev->driver.

8b8ff8cc3b perf/x86: Add new event for AUX output counter index
PEBS-via-PT records contain a mask of applicable counters. To identify
which event belongs to which counter, a side-band event is needed. Until
now, there has been no side-band event, and consequently users were limited
to using a single event.

Add such a side-band event. Note the event is optimised to output only
when the counter index changes for an event. That works only so long as
all PEBS-via-PT events are scheduled together, which they are for a
recording session because they are in a single group.

Also no attribute bit is used to select the new event, so a new
kernel is not compatible with older perf tools.  The assumption
being that PEBS-via-PT is sufficiently esoteric that users will not
be troubled by this.

c22ac2a3d4 perf: Enable branch record for software events
The typical way to access branch record (e.g. Intel LBR) is via hardware
perf_event. For CPUs with FREEZE_LBRS_ON_PMI support, PMI could capture
reliable LBR. On the other hand, LBR could also be useful in non-PMI
scenario. For example, in kretprobe or bpf fexit program, LBR could
provide a lot of information on what happened with the function. Add API
to use branch record for software use.

Note that, when the software event triggers, it is necessary to stop the
branch record hardware asap. Therefore, static_call is used to remove some
branch instructions in this process.

There are three channels on a Ice Lake server, but only two channels
will ever be active. Current perf only enables two channels.

Support the extra IMC channel, which may be activated on some Ice Lake
machines. For a non-activated channel, the SW can still access it. The
write will be ignored by the HW. 0 is always returned for the reading.

0b3a8738b7 perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix integer overflow on 23 bit left shift of a u32
The u32 variable pci_dword is being masked with 0x1fffffff and then left
shifted 23 places. The shift is a u32 operation,so a value of 0x200 or
more in pci_dword will overflow the u32 and only the bottow 32 bits
are assigned to addr. I don't believe this was the original intent.
Fix this by casting pci_dword to a resource_size_t to ensure no
overflow occurs.

Note that the mask and 12 bit left shift operation does not need this
because the mask SNR_IMC_MMIO_MEM0_MASK and shift is always a 32 bit
value.

Different from the big core, the small core requires the ACK right
before re-enabling counters in the NMI handler, otherwise a stale PEBS
record may be dumped into the later NMI handler, which trigger the
warning.

Add a new mid_ack flag to track the case. Add all PMI handler bits in
the struct x86_hybrid_pmu to track the bits for different types of
PMUs.  Apply mid ACK for the small cores on an Alder Lake machine.

The existing hybrid() macro has a compile error when taking address of
a bit-field variable. Add a new macro hybrid_bit() to get the
bit-field value of a given PMU.

c76826a65f perf/x86/intel/uncore: Support IMC free-running counters on Sapphire Rapids server
Several free-running counters for IMC uncore blocks are supported on
Sapphire Rapids server.

They are not enumerated in the discovery tables. The number of the
free-running counter boxes is calculated from the number of
corresponding standard boxes.

The snbep_pci2phy_map_init() is invoked to setup the mapping from a PCI
BUS to a Die ID, which is used to locate the corresponding MC device of
a IMC uncore unit in the spr_uncore_imc_freerunning_init_box().

1583971b5c perf/x86/intel/uncore: Factor out snr_uncore_mmio_map()
The IMC free-running counters on Sapphire Rapids server are also
accessed by MMIO, which is similar to the previous platforms, SNR and
ICX. The only difference is the device ID of the device which contains
BAR address.

Factor out snr_uncore_mmio_map() which ioremap the MMIO space. It can be
reused in the following patch for SPR.

Use the snr_uncore_mmio_map() in the icx_uncore_imc_freerunning_init_box().
There is no box_ctl for the free-running counters.

8053f2d752 perf/x86/intel/uncore: Add alias PMU name
A perf PMU may have two PMU names. For example, Intel Sapphire Rapids
server supports the discovery mechanism. Without the platform-specific
support, an uncore PMU is named by a type ID plus a box ID, e.g.,
uncore_type_0_0, because the real name of the uncore PMU cannot be
retrieved from the discovery table. With the platform-specific support
later, perf has the mapping information from a type ID to a specific
uncore unit. Just like the previous platforms, the uncore PMU is named
by the real PMU name, e.g., uncore_cha_0. The user scripts which work
well with the old numeric name may not work anymore.

Add a new attribute "alias" to indicate the old numeric name. The
following userspace perf tool patch will handle both names. The user
scripts should work properly with the updated perf tool.

c54c53d992 perf/x86/intel/uncore: Add Sapphire Rapids server framework
Intel Sapphire Rapids supports a discovery mechanism, that allows an
uncore driver to discover the different components ("boxes") of the
chip.

All the generic information of the uncore boxes should be retrieved from
the discovery tables. This has been enabled with the commit edae1f06c2
("perf/x86/intel/uncore: Parse uncore discovery tables"). Add
use_discovery to indicate the case. The uncore driver doesn't need to
hard code the generic information for each uncore box.
But we still need to enable various functionality that cannot be
directly discovered.

To support these functionalities, the Sapphire Rapids server framework
is introduced here. Each specific uncore unit will be added into the
framework in the following patches.

Add use_discovery to indicate that the discovery mechanism is required
for the platform. Currently, Intel Sapphire Rapids is one of the
platforms.

The box ID from the discovery table is the accurate index. Use it if
applicable.

All the undiscovered platform-specific features will be hard code in the
spr_uncores[]. Add uncore_type_customized_copy(), instead of the memcpy,
to only overwrite these features.

The specific uncore unit hasn't been added here. From user's
perspective, there is nothing changed for now.

7f049fbdd5 perf/x86/intel/lbr: Zero the xstate buffer on allocation
XRSTORS requires a valid xstate buffer to work correctly. XSAVES does not
guarantee to write a fully valid buffer according to the SDM:

  "XSAVES does not write to any parts of the XSAVE header other than the
   XSTATE_BV and XCOMP_BV fields."

XRSTORS triggers a #GP:

  "If bytes 63:16 of the XSAVE header are not all zero."

It's dubious at best how this can work at all when the buffer is not zeroed
before use.

Allocate the buffers with __GFP_ZERO to prevent XRSTORS failure.
