This patch adds wrappers to dwc3_omap_readl/writel calls to accomodate

This patch Initializes the register offset values depending
on the X_MAJOR of USBOTGSS_REVISION register. Also adds register
offset defines and new debug register defines.
X_MAJOR is 2 for both OMAP5 and AM437x. But both have different
glue register layout. Differentiate AM437x using dt compatible.
Register offsets are cached in dwc3_omap struct for reg reads
and writes.

AM437x and OMAP5 dwc3 subsytem have different register map.
Major differences are as follows.
OMAP5 has one main interrupt and one misc interrupt
Aegis has four main interrupts and one misc interrupt.
Miscellanous Interrupt offsets are changed.
UTMI OTG Control and Status Registers offsets are changed.
DEBUG Configuration and Status Registers are changed.
The main intend of the patch is to re-use the same wrapper driver

register and adjusting the offsets.

in struct dwc3_omap to cache the offsets

Many USB host drivers contain code such as:
if (!pdev->dev.dma_mask)
pdev->dev.dma_mask = &tegra_ehci_dma_mask;
... where tegra_ehci_dma_mask is a global. I suspect this code originated
in commit 4a53f4e "USB: ehci-tegra: add probing through device tree" and
was simply copied everywhere else.
This works fine when the code is built-in, but can cause a crash when the
code is in a module. The first module load sets up the dma_mask pointer,
but if the module is removed and re-inserted, the value is now non-NULL,
and hence is not updated to point at the new location, and hence points
at a stale location within the previous module load address, which in
turn causes a crash if the pointer is de-referenced.
The simplest way of solving this seems to be to copy the code from
ehci-platform.c, which uses the coherent_dma_mask as the target for the
dma_mask pointer.

To work with scatter gather properly, fixes have been done in number of
functions. I will explain requirement of each fixes one by one.
start_slot: used to retrieve all request of SG during cleanup
dwc3_gadget_giveback: We need to skip link TRB if it was one of the
intermediate TRB of SG.
dwc3_prepare_one_trb: We need to track all submitted TRBs during
cleanup. Since, all TRBs would be serially allocated, so we can just
keep starting slot info and we can always find rest of them. We need to
pass sg node number, so that we cab appropriately program ISOC_FIRST/ISOC,
Chain etc.
dwc3_prepare_trbs: last_one should be set when it is last node
of SG as well as last node of request_list.
__dwc3_cleanup_done_trbs: It has been prepared after re-factorization of
dwc3_cleanup_done_reqs. It is called for each TRB of SG.

There were still some corner cases where isoc transfer was not able to
restart, specially when missed isoc does not happen , and in fact gadget does
not queue any new request during giveback.
Cleanup function calls giveback first, which provides a way to queue
another request to gadget. But gadget did not had any data. So , it did
not call ep_queue. To twist it further, gadget did not queue till
cleanup for last queued TRB is called. If we ever reach this scenario,
we must call END TRANSFER, so that we receive a new xfernotready with
information about current microframe number.
Also insure that there is no request submitted to core when issuing END
TRANSFER.

There are two reasons to generate missed isoc.
1. when the host does not poll for all the data.
2. because of application-side delays that prevent all the data from
being transferred in programmed microframe.
Current code was able to handle first case only. This patch handles
scenario 2 as well.Scenario 2 sometime may occur with complex gadget
application, however it can be easily reproduced for testing purpose as
follows:
a. use isoc binterval as 1 in f_sourcesink.
b. use pattern=0
c. introduce a delay of 150us deliberately in source_sink_complete, so
that after few frames it lands into scenario 2.
d. now run testusb 16 (isoc in test). You will notice that if this
patch is not applied then isoc transfer is not able to recover after
first missed.
Current patch's approach is as under:
If missed isoc occurs and there is no request queued then issue END
TRANSFER, so that core generates next xfernotready and we will issue a
fresh START TRANSFER.
If there are still queued request then wait, do not issue either END or
UPDATE TRANSFER, just attach next request in request_list during giveback.
If any future queued request is successfully transferred then we will issue
UPDATE TRANSFER for all request in the request_list.

Currently we're allocating an entire page to
serve as our event buffer. Provided our events
are 4 bytes long, it's very unlikely we will
even trigger 1k events at once.
Even in the worst case scenario where every
endpoint triggers one event and we still have
a couple of error events, that would still
be less than 40 events.
In order to cope with future versions of the
IP which could (or could not) increase the
amount of possible events to trigger
simultaneously, we're using an arbitrary size
of 64 events for our event buffer.
We're saving 3840 bytes by doing so.

event buffer allocation uses the cached copy of hwparams to determine
the number of event buffers and the caching is done in dwc3_core_init.
So moved dwc3_cache_hwparams function before dwc3_alloc_event_buffers so
that dwc3_alloc_event_buffers sees the correct number of event buffers.

We're also switching over event buffer allocation to devm_kzalloc()
and moving the allocation out of dwc3_core_init() so that can be

After the introduction of PLATFORM_DEVID_AUTO, we can also drop the

Exynos glue layer learns about DeviceTree and drops platform_data

show up as a SETUP transfers which wouldn't complete ever and

didn't deserve being sent to stable tree.

child pointers which should be filled only by resource API's. By
directly using the *resource* pointer of core in xhci, these parent,
sibling, child pointers are already populated even before
*platform_device_add* causing side effects.

In case of ep0 out, if length is not aligned to maxpacket size then we use
dwc->ep_bounce_addr for dma transfer and not request->dma. Since, we have
alreday done memcpy from dwc->ep0_bounce to request->buf, so we do not need to
issue cache sync function. In fact, cache sync function will bring wrong data
in request->buf from request->dma in this scenario.
So, cache sync function must not be executed in case of ep0 bounced.

This commit removes USB_GADGET_DUALSPEED and USB_GADGET_SUPERSPEED
Kconfig options. Since now kernel allows many UDC drivers to be
compiled, those options may turn to no longer be valid. For
instance, if someone decides to build UDC that supports super
speed and UDC that supports high speed only, the latter will be
"assumed" to support super speed since USB_GADGET_SUPERSPEED will
be selected by the former.
The test of whether CONFIG_USB_GADGET_*SPEED was defined was just
an optimisation which removed otherwise dead code (ie. if UDC is
not dual speed, there is no need to handle cases that can happen
if speed is high). This commit removes those checks.

When connection is established non-ss mode, endpoint.maxburst is correctly set
to 0, this means that current code will set maxburst bitfield on DEPCFG's
parameter 0 to the highest possible value (0x0f) which is wrong.
Even though this hasn't caused any issues so far (HW seems to ignore that when
not running in SS mode) we want to make sure maxburst bitfield is only set to
anything other than zero if we're running on SuperSpeed mode. In order to
achieve that, let's check for gadget's operating speed before setting maxburst
bitfield when issuing DEPCFG command.

In case some gadget driver tries to enable an endpoint
which is already enabled, we print a nice WARN so we
can track broken gadget drivers. The only problem is that
we're printing the WARN when we already changed endpoint's
name, which would result in endpoints named as:
ep1in-bulk-bulk-bulk-bulk-bulk-bulk-bulk
To prevent that, we will continue to print the WARN,
but do so before changing endpoint's name and return
early.

commit 68d3e66 (usb: dwc3: ep0: fix for possible early
delayed_status) added handling for early delayed status,

status will always be on the IN direction.

we can handle all directions properly.

Due to the late Silicon limitation found, we are
now pre-starting DATA phase's TRBs. If, still, we
get XferNotReady(DATA) we will ignore it unless
we're getting it for the wrong direction.
In that case we must keep the error case handling
plus add a ENDTRANSFER command to forcefully end
the Data TRB we started previously, then continue
to SetStall and so on.

We uncovered a limitation of this core WRT to the
Link Layer Compliance Suite's TD7.06.
On that test, host will start a GetDescriptor(DEVICE)
standard request, but it will do so only on the
SETUP phase, meaning there will *NOT* be any DATA or
STATUS phases.
The idea of the test is to verify robustness of the
IP WRT framing errors, so the test will send a
sequence of different SETUP_DPs each with a different
framing error and the Suite expects us to be able to
receive all SETUP_DPs with no timeouts.
This core, has the ability to tell us which phase the
host is expecting before we start it. Whenever we
receive a TP or DP when no transfers are cached on
the internal IP's caches, the IP will generate a
XferNotReady event with status informing us (in case
of physical ep0/ep1) if it's related to DATA or STATUS
phases - SETUP phase is expected to be prestarted.
Because we're always waiting for XferNotReady
events for DATA and STATUS phases, we will never
be able to know that the Host wants to start another
SETUP phase instead, which will render us "not
compliant" with TD7.06.
In order to "fix" the problem we must not rely
on XferNotReady events for the DATA phase and try
to always pre-start DATA transfers on physical
endpoints 0 and 1. If host goes back to SETUP phase
from DATA phase we will receive a XferComplete for
that phase with TRB's status set to SETUP_PENDING,
which is only useful for printing a debugging log as
the core expects us to still go through to the STATUS
phase, initiate a CONTROL_STATUS TRB just so it
completes right away and, only then, we go back to
the pending SETUP phase.
SNPS has decided to modify the programming model of
the core so that on-demand DATA phases will not be
supported anymore. Note that this limitation does not
affect 2-stage transfers, meaning that if TD7.06 would
start a 2-stage transfer instead of a 3-stage transfer,
we would receive a "fake" XferNotReady(STATUS) which
would complete right after being initiated with
SETUP_PENDING status.
Other endpoints are also not affected, so we can still
use on-demand transfers on Bulk/Isoc/Interrupt endpoints.

Databook doesn't say we should stall if we
get XferNotReady(STATUS) while we're expecting
something else.
Instead of stalling and restarting, tests have
proven that ignoring the event is far more
effective.

ep0 handling in order we pass Link Layer TD7.6.

We have some changes to U1/U2 handling where we were

This pull request contains one workaround for a Silicon
Issue found on all RTL releases prior to 2.20a, which
would cause a metastability state on Run/Stop bit.
We also have some patches implementing a few extra Standard
requests introduced by USB3 spec (Set SEL and Set Isoch Delay),
as well as one patch, which has been pending for a long time,
implementing LPM support.
Last, but not least, we are splitting the host address space
out of the dwc3 core driver otherwise xHCI won't be able to
request_mem_region() its own address space. This patch is
only needed because we are (as we should) re-using the xHCI
driver, which is a completely separate module.
Together with these three big changes, come a few extra preparatory

usb: dwc3: patches for v3.5 merge window
Together with these three big changes, come a few extra preparatory
patches which most move code around, define macros and so on, as
well as a fix for Isochronous transfers which hasn't been triggered
before.
[ resolved conflicts and build error in drivers/usb/dwc3/gadget.c - gregkh]
to avoid sprinkling magic constants on the driver
we define a constant to be used when allocating
setup_buffer and ep0_bounce buffer.

Issue an Update Transfer command after queuing a request to an isoc
EP with an active transfer. This is required according to the dwc3
databook. Pratyush Anand reports that this fixes a problem he was
having with Isoc IN transfers.

This is basically a noop for DWC3. We don't have
to do anything. Basically we test if the request
parameters are correct, cache the Isochronous
Delay and return success.

We want to re-use that buffer for other USB
requests, so let's increase it to biggest
wMaxPacketSize for ep0 so it works for everything
we have in mind.

This patch implements Set SEL Standard Request
support for dwc3 driver. It needs to issue a command
to the controller passing the timing we received on
the data phase of the Set SEL request.

On device loading the driver enables LPM and the acceptance of U1 and U2
states. The [Set|Clear]Feature requests for "U1/U2" are forwarded
directly to the hardware and allow / forbid the initiation of the low
power links.

This fix prevents a problem with dwc3 and host mode where
we were requesting the entire memory region in dwc3/core.c,
thus preventing xhci-plat from ever ioremapping its own address space.

We separate between dwc3-omap helper functions to dwc3-core helper
functions. This will allow us to change the helper functions
implementation according to each module need.

All revisions prior to 2.20a have a known issue which
causes metastability state on Run/Stop bit if we
configure the core to work on any of the USB2-only
speeds.
The suggested workaround is just to never configure the
core to anything other than SuperSpeed.

We have other revisions already released, let's
define revision macros for those so we can do
runtime detection of known erratas.

due to a HW limitation we have a bounce buffer for ep0
out transfers which are not aligned with MaxPacketSize.
On such case we were not increment r->actual as we should.
This patch fixes that mistake.

Lots of gadget driver reworks here, driver updates, xhci changes, some
new drivers added, usb-serial core reworking to fix some bugs, and other
various minor things.
There are some patches touching arch code, but they have all been acked

Here are the changes for v3.4 merge window.
It includes a new glue layer for Samsung's Exynos platform, a simplification of
memory management on DWC3 driver by using dev_xxx functions, a few
optimizations to IRQ handling by dropping memcpy() and using bitshifts, a fix
for TI's OMAP5430 TX Fifo Allocation, two fixes on USB2 test mode
implementation (one on debugfs and one on ep0), and several minor changes such
as whitespace cleanups, simplification of a few parts of the code, decreasing a
long delay to something a bit saner, dropping a header which was included twice
and so on.
The highlight on this merge is the support for Samsung's Exynos platform,
increasing the number of different users for this driver to three.
Note that Samsung Exynos glue layer will only compile on platforms which
provide implementation for the clk API for now. Once Samsung supports
pm_runtime, that limitation can be dropped from the Makefile.
