The user may use the fbcon=vc:<n1>-<n2> option to tell fbcon to take over the given range (n1...n2) of consoles. The value for n1 and n2 needs to be a positive number and up to (MAX_NR_CONSOLES - 1). The given values were not fully checked against those boundaries yet. To fix the issue, convert first_fb_vc and last_fb_vc to unsigned integers and check them against the upper boundary, and make sure that first_fb_vc is smaller than last_fb_vc. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
