At least some versions of Dell EFI firmware pass the entire EFI_LOAD_OPTION descriptor, rather than just the OptionalData part, to the loaded image. This was verified with firmware revision 2.15.0 on a Dell Precision T3620 by Jacobo Pantoja. To handle this, add a quirk to check if the options look like a valid EFI_LOAD_OPTION descriptor, and if so, use the OptionalData part as the command line. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
