Since commitd110162caf("perf tsc: Support cap_user_time_short for event TIME_CONV"), the event PERF_RECORD_TIME_CONV has extended the data structure for clock parameters. To be backwards-compatible, this patch adds a dedicated swap operation for the event PERF_RECORD_TIME_CONV, based on checking if the event contains field "time_cycles", it can support both for the old and new event formats. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
