a2d6d7ae59 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net
The ungrafting from PRIO bug fixes in net, when merged into net-next,
merge cleanly but create a build failure. The resolution used here is
from Petr Machata.

2f3035da40 riscv: prefix IRQ_ macro names with an RV_ namespace
"IRQ_TIMER", used in the arch/riscv CSR header file, is a sufficiently
generic macro name that it's used by several source files across the
Linux code base. Some of these other files ultimately include the
arch/riscv CSR include file, causing collisions. Fix by prefixing the
RISC-V csr.h IRQ_ macro names with an RV_ prefix.

1833e327a5 riscv: export flush_icache_all to modules
This is needed by LKDTM (crash dump test module), it calls
flush_icache_range(), which on RISC-V turns into flush_icache_all(). On
other architectures, the actual implementation is exported, so follow
that precedence and export it here too.

556f47ac60 riscv: reject invalid syscalls below -1
Running "stress-ng --enosys 4 -t 20 -v" showed a large number of kernel oops
with "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address" message. This
happens when enosys stressor starts testing random non-valid syscalls.

I forgot to redirect any syscall below -1 to sys_ni_syscall.

With the patch kernel oops messages are gone while running stress-ng enosys

4d47ce158e riscv: fix compile failure with EXPORT_SYMBOL() & !MMU
When support for !MMU was added, the declaration of
__asm_copy_to_user() & __asm_copy_from_user() were #ifdefed
out hence their EXPORT_SYMBOL() give an error message like:
  .../riscv_ksyms.c:13:15: error: '__asm_copy_to_user' undeclared here
  .../riscv_ksyms.c:14:15: error: '__asm_copy_from_user' undeclared here

Since these symbols are not defined with !MMU it's wrong to export them.
Same for __clear_user() (even though this one is also declared in
include/asm-generic/uaccess.h and thus doesn't give an error message).

Fix this by doing the EXPORT_SYMBOL() directly where these symbols
are defined: inside lib/uaccess.S itself.

2bbc078f81 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/bpf/bpf-next
Daniel Borkmann says:

====================
pull-request: bpf-next 2019-12-27

The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.

We've added 127 non-merge commits during the last 17 day(s) which contain
a total of 110 files changed, 6901 insertions(+), 2721 deletions(-).

There are three merge conflicts. Conflicts and resolution looks as follows:

1) Merge conflict in net/bpf/test_run.c:

There was a tree-wide cleanup c593642c8b ("treewide: Use sizeof_field() macro")
which gets in the way with b590cb5f80 ("bpf: Switch to offsetofend in
BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN"):

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetof(struct __sk_buff, priority) +
                             sizeof_field(struct __sk_buff, priority),
  =======
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetofend(struct __sk_buff, priority),
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

There are a few occasions that look similar to this. Always take the chunk with
offsetofend(). Note that there is one where the fields differ in here:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetof(struct __sk_buff, tstamp) +
                             sizeof_field(struct __sk_buff, tstamp),
  =======
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetofend(struct __sk_buff, gso_segs),
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Just take the one with offsetofend() /and/ gso_segs. Latter is correct due to
850a88cc40 ("bpf: Expose __sk_buff wire_len/gso_segs to BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN").

2) Merge conflict in arch/riscv/net/bpf_jit_comp.c:

(I'm keeping Bjorn in Cc here for a double-check in case I got it wrong.)

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (is_13b_check(off, insn))
                  return -1;
          emit(rv_blt(tcc, RV_REG_ZERO, off >> 1), ctx);
  =======
          emit_branch(BPF_JSLT, RV_REG_T1, RV_REG_ZERO, off, ctx);
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Result should look like:

          emit_branch(BPF_JSLT, tcc, RV_REG_ZERO, off, ctx);

3) Merge conflict in arch/riscv/include/asm/pgtable.h:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
  =======
  #define VMALLOC_SIZE     (KERN_VIRT_SIZE >> 1)
  #define VMALLOC_END      (PAGE_OFFSET - 1)
  #define VMALLOC_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - VMALLOC_SIZE)

  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE     (SZ_128M)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_END      (VMALLOC_END)

  /*
   * Roughly size the vmemmap space to be large enough to fit enough
   * struct pages to map half the virtual address space. Then
   * position vmemmap directly below the VMALLOC region.
   */
  #define VMEMMAP_SHIFT \
          (CONFIG_VA_BITS - PAGE_SHIFT - 1 + STRUCT_PAGE_MAX_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_SIZE    BIT(VMEMMAP_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_END     (VMALLOC_START - 1)
  #define VMEMMAP_START   (VMALLOC_START - VMEMMAP_SIZE)

  #define vmemmap         ((struct page *)VMEMMAP_START)

  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Only take the BPF_* defines from there and move them higher up in the
same file. Remove the rest from the chunk. The VMALLOC_* etc defines
got moved via 01f52e16b8 ("riscv: define vmemmap before pfn_to_page
calls"). Result:

  [...]
  #define __S101  PAGE_READ_EXEC
  #define __S110  PAGE_SHARED_EXEC
  #define __S111  PAGE_SHARED_EXEC

  #define VMALLOC_SIZE     (KERN_VIRT_SIZE >> 1)
  #define VMALLOC_END      (PAGE_OFFSET - 1)
  #define VMALLOC_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - VMALLOC_SIZE)

  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE     (SZ_128M)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_END      (VMALLOC_END)

  /*
   * Roughly size the vmemmap space to be large enough to fit enough
   * struct pages to map half the virtual address space. Then
   * position vmemmap directly below the VMALLOC region.
   */
  #define VMEMMAP_SHIFT \
          (CONFIG_VA_BITS - PAGE_SHIFT - 1 + STRUCT_PAGE_MAX_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_SIZE    BIT(VMEMMAP_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_END     (VMALLOC_START - 1)
  #define VMEMMAP_START   (VMALLOC_START - VMEMMAP_SIZE)

  [...]

Let me know if there are any other issues.

Anyway, the main changes are:

1) Extend bpftool to produce a struct (aka "skeleton") tailored and specific
   to a provided BPF object file. This provides an alternative, simplified API
   compared to standard libbpf interaction. Also, add libbpf extern variable
   resolution for .kconfig section to import Kconfig data, from Andrii Nakryiko.

2) Add BPF dispatcher for XDP which is a mechanism to avoid indirect calls by
   generating a branch funnel as discussed back in bpfconf'19 at LSF/MM. Also,
   add various BPF riscv JIT improvements, from Björn Töpel.

3) Extend bpftool to allow matching BPF programs and maps by name,
   from Paul Chaignon.

4) Support for replacing cgroup BPF programs attached with BPF_F_ALLOW_MULTI
   flag for allowing updates without service interruption, from Andrey Ignatov.

5) Cleanup and simplification of ring access functions for AF_XDP with a
   bonus of 0-5% performance improvement, from Magnus Karlsson.

6) Enable BPF JITs for x86-64 and arm64 by default. Also, final version of
   audit support for BPF, from Daniel Borkmann and latter with Jiri Olsa.

7) Move and extend test_select_reuseport into BPF program tests under
   BPF selftests, from Jakub Sitnicki.

8) Various BPF sample improvements for xdpsock for customizing parameters
   to set up and benchmark AF_XDP, from Jay Jayatheerthan.

9) Improve libbpf to provide a ulimit hint on permission denied errors.
   Also change XDP sample programs to attach in driver mode by default,
   from Toke Høiland-Jørgensen.

10) Extend BPF test infrastructure to allow changing skb mark from tc BPF
    programs, from Nikita V. Shirokov.

11) Optimize prologue code sequence in BPF arm32 JIT, from Russell King.

12) Fix xdp_redirect_cpu BPF sample to manually attach to tracepoints after
    libbpf conversion, from Jesper Dangaard Brouer.

13) Minor misc improvements from various others.

9209fb5189 riscv: move sifive_l2_cache.c to drivers/soc
The sifive_l2_cache.c is in no way related to RISC-V architecture
memory management. It is a little stub driver working around the fact
that the EDAC maintainers prefer their drivers to be structured in a
certain way that doesn't fit the SiFive SOCs.

Move the file to drivers/soc and add a Kconfig option for it, as well
as the whole drivers/soc boilerplate for CONFIG_SOC_SIFIVE.

96bc4432f5 bpf, riscv: Limit to 33 tail calls
All BPF JIT compilers except RISC-V's and MIPS' enforce a 33-tail calls

This patch updates the tail call limit in RISC-V's JIT compiler to allow
33 tail calls. I tested it using the above selftest on an emulated

a1b39bae16 asm-generic: Make msi.h a mandatory include/asm header
msi.h is generic for all architectures except x86, which has its own
version. Enabling MSI by adding msi.h to every architecture's Kbuild is
just an additional step which doesn't need to be done.

Make msi.h mandatory in the asm-generic/Kbuild so we don't have to do it
for each architecture.

Pull x86 asm updates from Ingo Molnar:
 "The main changes in this cycle were:

   - Cross-arch changes to move the linker sections for NOTES and
     EXCEPTION_TABLE into the RO_DATA area, where they belong on most
     architectures. (Kees Cook)

   - Switch the x86 linker fill byte from x90 (NOP) to 0xcc (INT3), to
     trap jumps into the middle of those padding areas instead of
     sliding execution. (Kees Cook)

   - A thorough cleanup of symbol definitions within x86 assembler code.
     The rather randomly named macros got streamlined around a
     (hopefully) straightforward naming scheme:

        SYM_START(name, linkage, align...)
        SYM_END(name, sym_type)

        SYM_FUNC_START(name)
        SYM_FUNC_END(name)

        SYM_CODE_START(name)
        SYM_CODE_END(name)

        SYM_DATA_START(name)
        SYM_DATA_END(name)

     etc - with about three times of these basic primitives with some
     label, local symbol or attribute variant, expressed via postfixes.

     No change in functionality intended. (Jiri Slaby)

6bd33e1ece riscv: add nommu support
The kernel runs in M-mode without using page tables, and thus can't run
bare metal without help from additional firmware.

Most of the patch is just stubbing out code not needed without page
tables, but there is an interesting detail in the signals implementation:

 - The normal RISC-V syscall ABI only implements rt_sigreturn as VDSO
   entry point, but the ELF VDSO is not supported for nommu Linux.
   We instead copy the code to call the syscall onto the stack.

In addition to enabling the nommu code a new defconfig for a small
kernel image that can run in nommu mode on qemu is also provided, to run
a kernel in qemu you can use the following command line:

qemu-system-riscv64 -smp 2 -m 64 -machine virt -nographic \
	-kernel arch/riscv/boot/loader \
	-drive file=rootfs.ext2,format=raw,id=hd0 \
	-device virtio-blk-device,drive=hd0

9e80635619 riscv: clear the instruction cache and all registers when booting
When we get booted we want a clear slate without any leaks from previous
supervisors or the firmware. Flush the instruction cache and then clear
all registers to known good values. This is really important for the
upcoming nommu support that runs on M-mode, but can't really harm when
running in S-mode either. Vaguely based on the concepts from opensbi.

fcdc653751 riscv: provide native clint access for M-mode
RISC-V has the concept of a cpu level interrupt controller. The
interface for it is split between a standardized part that is exposed
as bits in the mstatus/sstatus register and the mie/mip/sie/sip
CRS. But the bit to actually trigger IPIs is not standardized and
just mentioned as implementable using MMIO.

Add support for IPIs using MMIO using the SiFive clint layout (which
is also shared by Ariane, Kendryte and the Qemu virt platform).
Additionally the MMIO block also supports the time value and timer
compare registers, so they are also set up using the same OF node.
Support for other layouts should also be relatively easy to add in the
future.

c12d3362a7 int128: move __uint128_t compiler test to Kconfig
In order to use 128-bit integer arithmetic in C code, the architecture
needs to have declared support for it by setting ARCH_SUPPORTS_INT128,
and it requires a version of the toolchain that supports this at build
time. This is why all existing tests for ARCH_SUPPORTS_INT128 also test
whether __SIZEOF_INT128__ is defined, since this is only the case for
compilers that can support 128-bit integers.

Let's fold this additional test into the Kconfig declaration of
ARCH_SUPPORTS_INT128 so that we can also use the symbol in Makefiles,
e.g., to decide whether a certain object needs to be included in the
first place.

encounter those issues to simply include asm/mmio.h instead, and
bypass the legacy I/O port functions. Existing users of asm/io.h

8bb0daef64 riscv: Correct the handling of unexpected ebreak in do_trap_break()
For the kernel space, all ebreak instructions are determined at compile
time because the kernel space debugging module is currently unsupported.
Hence, it should be treated as a bug if an ebreak instruction which does
not belong to BUG_TRAP_TYPE_WARN or BUG_TRAP_TYPE_BUG is executed in
kernel space. For the userspace, debugging module or user problem may
intentionally insert an ebreak instruction to trigger a SIGTRAP signal.
To approach the above two situations, the do_trap_break() will direct
the BUG_TRAP_TYPE_NONE ebreak exception issued in kernel space to die()
and will send a SIGTRAP to the trapped process only when the ebreak is
in userspace.

922b0375fc riscv: Fix memblock reservation for device tree blob
This fixes an error with how the FDT blob is reserved in memblock.
An incorrect physical address calculation exposed the FDT header to
unintended corruption, which typically manifested with of_fdt_raw_init()
faulting during late boot after fdt_totalsize() returned a wrong value.
Systems with smaller physical memory sizes more frequently trigger this
issue, as the kernel is more likely to allocate from the DMA32 zone
where bbl places the DTB after the kernel image.

Commit 671f9a3e2e ("RISC-V: Setup initial page tables in two stages")
changed the mapping of the DTB to reside in the fixmap area.
Consequently, early_init_fdt_reserve_self() cannot be used anymore in
setup_bootmem() since it relies on __pa() to derive a physical address,
which does not work with dtb_early_va that is no longer a valid kernel
logical address.

The reserved[0x1] region shows the effect of the pointer underflow
resulting from the __pa(initial_boot_params) offset subtraction:

b4ed71f557 mm: treewide: clarify pgtable_page_{ctor,dtor}() naming
The naming of pgtable_page_{ctor,dtor}() seems to have confused a few
people, and until recently arm64 used these erroneously/pointlessly for
other levels of page table.

To make it incredibly clear that these only apply to the PTE level, and to
align with the naming of pgtable_pmd_page_{ctor,dtor}(), let's rename them
to pgtable_pte_page_{ctor,dtor}().

These changes were generated with the following shell script:

----
git grep -lw 'pgtable_page_.tor' | while read FILE; do
    sed -i '{s/pgtable_page_ctor/pgtable_pte_page_ctor/}' $FILE;
    sed -i '{s/pgtable_page_dtor/pgtable_pte_page_dtor/}' $FILE;
done
----

... with the documentation re-flowed to remain under 80 columns, and
whitespace fixed up in macros to keep backslashes aligned.

There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

782de70c42 mm: consolidate pgtable_cache_init() and pgd_cache_init()
Both pgtable_cache_init() and pgd_cache_init() are used to initialize kmem
cache for page table allocations on several architectures that do not use
PAGE_SIZE tables for one or more levels of the page table hierarchy.

Most architectures do not implement these functions and use __weak default
NOP implementation of pgd_cache_init(). Since there is no such default
for pgtable_cache_init(), its empty stub is duplicated among most
architectures.

Rename the definitions of pgd_cache_init() to pgtable_cache_init() and
drop empty stubs of pgtable_cache_init().

13224794cb mm: remove quicklist page table caches
Patch series "mm: remove quicklist page table caches".

A while ago Nicholas proposed to remove quicklist page table caches [1].

I've rebased his patch on the curren upstream and switched ia64 and sh to
use generic versions of PTE allocation.

[1] https://lore.kernel.org/linux-mm/20190711030339.20892-1-npiggin@gmail.com

This patch (of 3):

Remove page table allocator "quicklists". These have been around for a
long time, but have not got much traction in the last decade and are only
used on ia64 and sh architectures.

The numbers in the initial commit look interesting but probably don't
apply anymore. If anybody wants to resurrect this it's in the git
history, but it's unhelpful to have this code and divergent allocator
behaviour for minor archs.

Also it might be better to instead make more general improvements to page
allocator if this is still so slow.

c82dd6d078 riscv: Avoid interrupts being erroneously enabled in handle_exception()
When the handle_exception function addresses an exception, the interrupts
will be unconditionally enabled after finishing the context save. However,
It may erroneously enable the interrupts if the interrupts are disabled
before entering the handle_exception.

For example, one of the WARN_ON() condition is satisfied in the scheduling
where the interrupt is disabled and rq.lock is locked. The WARN_ON will
trigger a break exception and the handle_exception function will enable the
interrupts before entering do_trap_break function. During the procedure, if
a timer interrupt is pending, it will be taken when interrupts are enabled.
In this case, it may cause a deadlock problem if the rq.lock is locked
again in the timer ISR.

Hence, the handle_exception() can only enable interrupts when the state of
sstatus.SPIE is 1.

This patch is tested on HiFive Unleashed board.

 "Although there isn't tonnes of code in terms of line count, there are
  a fair few headline features which I've noted both in the tag and also
  in the merge commits when I pulled everything together.

  The part I'm most pleased with is that we had 35 contributors this
  time around, which feels like a big jump from the usual small group of
  core arm64 arch developers. Hopefully they all enjoyed it so much that
  they'll continue to contribute, but we'll see.

  It's probably worth highlighting that we've pulled in a branch from

474efecb65 riscv: modify the Image header to improve compatibility with the ARM64 header
Part of the intention during the definition of the RISC-V kernel image
header was to lay the groundwork for a future merge with the ARM64
image header. One error during my original review was not noticing
that the RISC-V header's "magic" field was at a different size and
position than the ARM64's "magic" field. If the existing ARM64 Image
header parsing code were to attempt to parse an existing RISC-V kernel
image header format, it would see a magic number 0. This is
undesirable, since it's our intention to align as closely as possible
with the ARM64 header format. Another problem was that the original
"res3" field was not being initialized correctly to zero.

Address these issues by creating a 32-bit "magic2" field in the RISC-V
header which matches the ARM64 "magic" field. RISC-V binaries will
store "RSC\x05" in this field. The intention is that the use of the
existing 64-bit "magic" field in the RISC-V header will be deprecated
over time. Increment the minor version number of the file format to
indicate this change, and update the documentation accordingly. Fix
the assembler directives in head.S to ensure that reserved fields are
properly zero-initialized.

a256f2e329 RISC-V: Fix FIXMAP area corruption on RV32 systems
Currently, various virtual memory areas of Linux RISC-V are organized
in increasing order of their virtual addresses is as follows:
1. User space area (This is lowest area and starts at 0x0)
2. FIXMAP area
3. VMALLOC area
4. Kernel area (This is highest area and starts at PAGE_OFFSET)

The maximum size of user space aread is represented by TASK_SIZE.

On RV32 systems, TASK_SIZE is defined as VMALLOC_START which causes the
user space area to overlap the FIXMAP area. This allows user space apps
to potentially corrupt the FIXMAP area and kernel OF APIs will crash
whenever they access corrupted FDT in the FIXMAP area.

On RV64 systems, TASK_SIZE is set to fixed 256GB and no other areas
happen to overlap so we don't see any FIXMAP area corruptions.

This patch fixes FIXMAP area corruption on RV32 systems by setting
TASK_SIZE to FIXADDR_START. We also move FIXADDR_TOP, FIXADDR_SIZE,
and FIXADDR_START defines to asm/pgtable.h so that we can avoid cyclic
header includes.

8ac71d7e46 riscv: Correct the initialized flow of FP register
The following two reasons cause FP registers are sometimes not
initialized before starting the user program.
1. Currently, the FP context is initialized in flush_thread() function
   and we expect these initial values to be restored to FP register when
   doing FP context switch. However, the FP context switch only occurs in
   switch_to function. Hence, if this process does not be scheduled out
   and scheduled in before entering the user space, the FP registers
   have no chance to initialize.
2. In flush_thread(), the state of reg->sstatus.FS inherits from the
   parent. Hence, the state of reg->sstatus.FS may be dirty. If this
   process is scheduled out during flush_thread() and initializing the
   FP register, the fstate_save() in switch_to will corrupt the FP context
   which has been initialized until flush_thread().

  To solve the 1st case, the initialization of the FP register will be
completed in start_thread(). It makes sure all FP registers are initialized
before starting the user program. For the 2nd case, the state of
reg->sstatus.FS in start_thread will be set to SR_FS_OFF to prevent this
process from corrupting FP context in doing context save. The FP state is
set to SR_FS_INITIAL in start_trhead().

eb93685847 riscv: fix flush_tlb_range() end address for flush_tlb_page()
The RISC-V kernel implementation of flush_tlb_page() when CONFIG_SMP
is set is wrong. It passes zero to flush_tlb_range() as the final
address to flush, but it should be at least 'addr'.

Some other Linux architecture ports use the beginning address to
flush, plus PAGE_SIZE, as the final address to flush. This might
flush slightly more than what's needed, but it seems unlikely that
being more clever would improve anything. So let's just take that
implementation for now.

While here, convert the macro into a static inline function, primarily
to avoid unintentional multiple evaluations of 'addr'.

On FU540-based systems, the "timebase-frequency" (RTCCLK) is sourced
from an external crystal located on the PCB. Thus the
timebase-frequency DT property should be defined by the board that
uses the SoC, not the SoC itself. Drop the superfluous
timebase-frequency property from the SoC DT data. (It's already
present in the board DT data.)

b399abe7c2 riscv: Fix perf record without libelf support
This patch fix following perf record error by linking vdso.so with
build id.

perf.data      perf.data.old
[ perf record: Woken up 1 times to write data ]
free(): double free detected in tcache 2
Aborted

perf record use filename__read_build_id(util/symbol-minimal.c) to get
build id when libelf is not supported. When vdso.so is linked without
build id, the section size of PT_NOTE will be zero, buf size will
realloc to zero and cause memory corruption.
