ab2aba4743 Revert "powerpc/p3060qds: Add support for P3060QDS board"
This reverts commit 96cc017c5b.

The P3060 was cancelled before it went into production, so there's no point
in supporting it.

b048b4e17c powerpc: remove Wind River SBC8560 support
This reference board dates back to 2004, and is largely a legacy
EOL product. The MPC8560 is a pre e500v2 CPU. The SBC8548 is
a more modern, better e500v2 target for people to use as a
reference board with today's kernels, should they require one.

Removing support for it will also allow us to remove some
sbc8560 specific quirk handling in 8250 UART code, and some
MTD mapping support.

641bd53a61 powerpc: Enable jump label support
When looking through some instruction traces I noticed our tracepoint
checks were inline. It turns out we don't have CONFIG_JUMP_LABEL
enabled.

By enabling CONFIG_JUMP_LABEL we replace a load/compare/branch with
a nop at every tracepoint call. For example in do_IRQ:

CONFIG_JUMP_LABEL disabled:
        stdx 3,11,9
        lwz 0,8(29)
        cmpwi 7,0,0
        bne- 7,.L124
        bl .irq_enter

CONFIG_JUMP_LABEL enabled:

        nop

2e341ca686 Sound updates for 3.5-rc1
This is the first big chunk for 3.5 merges of sound stuff.
There are a few big changes in different areas. First off, the
streaming logic of USB-audio endpoints has been largely rewritten
for the better support of "implicit feedback". If anything about USB
got broken, this change has to be checked.

For HD-audio, the resume procedure was changed; instead of delaying
the resume of the hardware until the first use, now waking up immediately
at resume. This is for buggy BIOS.

For ASoC, dynamic PCM support and the improved support for digital links
between off-SoC devices are major framework changes.

 Some highlights are below:

 * HD-audio
 - Avoid the accesses of invalid pin-control bits that may stall the codec
 - V-ref setup cleanups
 - Fix the races in power-saving code
 - Fix the races in codec cache hashes and connection lists
 - Split some common codes for BIOS auto-parser to hda_auto_parser.c
 - Changed the PM resume code to wake up immediately for buggy BIOS
 - Creative SoundCore3D support
 - Add Conexant CX20751/2/3/4 codec support

 * ASoC
 - Dynamic PCM support, allowing support for SoCs with internal routing
through components with tight sequencing and formatting constraints
within their internal paths or where there are multiple components
connected with CPU managed DMA controllers inside the SoC.
 - Greatly improved support for direct digital links between off-SoC
devices, providing a much simpler way of connecting things like digital
   basebands to CODECs.
 - Much more fine grained and robust locking, cleaning up some of the
confusion that crept in with multi-component.
 - CPU support for nVidia Tegra 30 I2S and audio hub controllers and
   ST-Ericsson MSP I2S controolers
 - New CODEC drivers for Cirrus CS42L52, LAPIS Semiconductor ML26124, Texas
   Instruments LM49453.
 - Some regmap changes needed by the Tegra I2S driver.
 - mc13783 audio support.

 * Misc
 - Rewrite with module_pci_driver()
 - Xonar DGX support for snd-oxygen
 - Improvement of packet handling in snd-firewire driver
 - New USB-endpoint streaming logic
 - Enhanced M-audio FTU quirks and relevant cleanups
 - Increment the support of OSS devices to 256
 - snd-aloop accuracy improvement

There are a few more pending changes for 3.5, but they will be
sent slightly later as partly depending on the changes of DRM.

Fix up conflicts in regmap (due to duplicate patches, with some further
updates then having already come in from the regmap tree). Also some
fairly trivial context conflicts in the imx and mcx soc drivers.

"Here are the powerpc goodies for 3.5. Main highlights are:

   - Support for the NX crypto engine in Power7+
   - A bunch of Anton goodness, including some micro optimization of our
     syscall entry on Power7
   - I converted a pile of our thermal control drivers to the new i2c
APIs (essentially turning the old therm_pm72 into a proper set of
windfarm drivers). That's one more step toward removing the
deprecated i2c APIs, there's still a few drivers to fix, but we are
     getting close
   - kexec/kdump support for 47x embedded cores

The big missing thing here is no updates from Freescale. Not sure
what's up here, but with Kumar not working for them anymore things are
a bit in a state of flux in that area."

694caf0255 powerpc: Remove CONFIG_POWER4_ONLY
Remove CONFIG_POWER4_ONLY, the option is badly named and only does two
things:

- It wraps the MMU segment table code. With feature fixups there is
little downside to compiling this in.

- It uses the newer mtocrf instruction in various assembly functions.
Instead of making this a compile option just do it at runtime via
  a feature fixup.

0c350a9a5c powerpc/85xx: allow CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT to be selectable
Remove the "select PHYS_64BIT" from the Kconfig entry for the P1022DS,
so that large physical address support is a selectable option for non-CoreNet
reference boards.

The option is enabled in mpc85xx_[smp_]defconfig so that the default is
unchanged. However, now it can be deselected.

The P1022DS had this option defined because the default device tree for
this board uses 36-bit addresses. This had the side-effect of forcing
this option on for all boards that use mpc85xx_[smp_]defconfig. Some
users may want to disable this feature to create an optimized configuration
for boards with <= 2GB of RAM.

0f890c8d20 powerpc: Rename mapping based RELOCATABLE to DYNAMIC_MEMSTART for BookE
The current implementation of CONFIG_RELOCATABLE in BookE is based
on mapping the page aligned kernel load address to KERNELBASE. This
approach however is not enough for platforms, where the TLB page size
is large (e.g, 256M on 44x). So we are renaming the RELOCATABLE used
currently in BookE to DYNAMIC_MEMSTART to reflect the actual method.

The CONFIG_RELOCATABLE for PPC32(BookE) based on processing of the
dynamic relocations will be introduced in the later in the patch series.

This change would allow the use of the old method of RELOCATABLE for
platforms which can afford to enforce the page alignment (platforms with
smaller TLB size).

Changes since v3:

* Introduced a new config, NONSTATIC_KERNEL, to denote a kernel which is
either a RELOCATABLE or DYNAMIC_MEMSTART(Suggested by: Josh Boyer)

11eab297f5 powerpc: Add support for OpenBlockS 600
So I've had one of these for a while and it looks like the vendor never
bothered submitting the support upstream.

This adds it using ppc40x_simple and provides a device-tree.

There are some changes to the boot wrapper because the way u-boot works
on this thing, it seems to expect a multipart image with the kernel,
initrd and dtb in it.

The USB support is missing as it needs the yet unmerged driver for
the DWC OTG part and the GPIOs may need further definition in the dts.

cc35b67668 powerpc/book3e: Add Chroma as a new WSP/PowerEN platform.
This patch add the Chroma platform to WSP/PowerEN, which is a PCIe
card (a defconfig is included).

The card includes an H8 service processor that is used to manage the
card. The H8 is connected over the second serial UART on the PowerEN
chip so this patch includes a simple 16550 driver to enable
communication, mostly for "power off" and "rebooting".

This patch also includes a, WSP specific, "halt" method that will shut
of all A2 cores but still leave power on at the chip level. This is
desirable, especially if you wish to interrogate the chip with a
hardware probe after the halt.

d31337657b powerpc/85xx: Rename p2040_rdb.c to p2041_rdb.c
There's only p2041rdb board for official release, but the p2041 silicon

consistent with the board name under U-Boot.

3b3bceef26 net: fix IBM EMAC driver after rename.
In commit 9aa3283595 (ehea/ibm*: Move the
IBM drivers) the IBM_NEW_EMAC* were renames to IBM_EMAC*

The conversion was incomplete so that even if the driver was added to
the .config it wasn't built, but there were no errors). In this commit
we also update the various defconfigs that use EMAC to use the new
Kconfig symbol, and explicitly add the NET_VENDOR_IBM guard.

We do not explicitly select the Kconfig dependencies, as this would force
EMAC on. Doing it in the defconfig allows more flexibility.

Tested on a canyondlands board.

a77aea9201 cgroup: remove the ns_cgroup
The ns_cgroup is an annoying cgroup at the namespace / cgroup frontier and
leads to some problems:

  * cgroup creation is out-of-control
  * cgroup name can conflict when pids are looping
  * it is not possible to have a single process handling a lot of
namespaces without falling in a exponential creation time
  * we may want to create a namespace without creating a cgroup

The ns_cgroup was replaced by a compatibility flag 'clone_children',
where a newly created cgroup will copy the parent cgroup values.
The userspace has to manually create a cgroup and add a task to
  the 'tasks' file.

This patch removes the ns_cgroup as suggested in the following thread:

https://lists.linux-foundation.org/pipermail/containers/2009-June/018616.html

The 'cgroup_clone' function is removed because it is no longer used.

This is a userspace-visible change. Commit 45531757b4 ("cgroup: notify
ns_cgroup deprecated") (merged into 2.6.27) caused the kernel to emit a
printk warning users that the feature is planned for removal. Since that
time we have heard from XXX users who were affected by this.

ff56535d29 powerpc: Restore some misc devices to our configs
Uwe Kleine-König reported:

while working on an defconfig (arm/mx27) I noticed that just updating
it[1] results in removing CONFIG_EEPROM_AT24=y. The reason is that
	since commit

v2.6.36-5965-g5f2365d (misc devices: do not enable by default)

MISC_DEVICES isn't enabled anymore by default. So all defconfigs that
have CONFIG_SOME_SYMBOL=y (or =m) (with SOME_SYMBOL depending on

6a108a14fa kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERT
The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option
is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than
only small devices.

This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes
references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED
option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and
can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be
considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc).

Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only
expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they
are making should enable it.

e3c8a02743 powerpc/mpc8xxx defconfigs - turn off SYSFS_DEPRECATED
a recent fc11 udev update on an 83xx board made root console login

b926a88a7b powerpc: Reduce differences between pseries and ppc64 defconfigs
The pseries and ppc64 defconfigs have drifted apart over the years. Reduce
some of the differences while still keeping the idea that the ppc64 defconfig

lower.

Also enable a number of common adapters as modules.

c1596b75c2 ps3_gelic_wireless: Remove PS3 gelic legacy wpa support
The current PS3 gelic wireless driver has support for wireless
extensions. The original PS3 gelic wireless driver exposed a
dedicated API for a dedicated wpa_supplicant driver. This old
API could be enabled with CONFIG_GELIC_WIRELESS_OLD_PSK_INTERFACE,
however, as this is not being used by any distros, and it is being
removed from the driver and from wpa_supplicant.

030bdc3fd0 powerpc/defconfigs: Set HZ=100 on pseries and ppc64 defconfigs
Now we have high res timers there is less of a reason for a high HZ value.
Furthermore I think there a few reasons we should reduce HZ to 100:

- Timer interrupt overhead. While this overhead is small, there are
applications that are very sensitive to jitter (eg some HPC apps).

- Issues with the timer wheel code. When coming out of NO_HZ idle we work our
way through the timer code one tick at a time. If we have been idle a long
time, this adds up - I sometimes see milliseconds of time spent in that
  loop.

Long term we should fix the timer wheel algorithm, but for now if we reduce
HZ then we reduce the amount of work the timer code has to do when coming
  out of idle.

The following series implements basic board support for
the kmeter1 board from keymile, based on a MPC8360.

This series provides the following functionality:

- The board can boot with a serial console on UART1
- Ethernet:
    UCC1 in RGMII mode
    UCC2 in RGMII mode
    UCC4 in RMII mode
    UCC5 in RMII mode
    UCC6 in RMII mode
    UCC7 in RMII mode
    UCC8 in RMII mode

following patch is necessary for working UCC in RMII mode:

ed75d8635a powerpc: fix linkstation and storcenter compilation breakage
Defining flash partition table in platform code is deprecated, and due to
recent changes linkstation and storcenter do not compile any more with

kernel configuration macro in preprocessor conditional, remove partition
table definitions altogether. Instead add support for partition definition

6ec9eae67a [WATCHDOG] Enable watchdog timer on GE Fanuc's SBC610
Support for the FPGA based watchdog timer on GE Fanuc's SBC610.

This patch enables one of the watchdog timers found on the SBC610. There are
two identical watchdog timers at different offsets in the above mentioned
boards, however the current driver is only capable of supporting one of them.

The watchdog timers are also capable of generating interrupts at a
user-configurable threshold, though support for this operation is currently
not supported by the driver.
