WCN3990 target supports 37-bit addressing mode. In order
to accommodate extended address support, add hw param to
indicate if the target supports addressing above 32-bits.

The parameter values for skid limit, number of peers and wds
entries values which are sent in wmi init cmd are hardware
specific.
Add support to obtain skid limit, number of peers and wds entries
values from hw params which will have the hw specific values
for these parameters.

Due to the limitation of wmi tlv parsing logic, if there are
two parameters in a wmi event with same tlv tag, we can get only
the last value, as it overwrites the prev value of the same tlv tag.
The service ready event in wcn3990 contains two parameters of the
same tag UINT32, due to which the svc bitmap is overwritten with the
DBS support parameter.
Refactor the service ready event parsing to allow parsing two tlv
of the same tag UINT32 for wcn3990.

Board Data File (BDF) is loaded upon driver boot-up procedure. The right
board data file is identified on QCA4019 using bus, bmi-chip-id and
bmi-board-id.
The problem, however, can occur when the (default) board data file cannot
fulfill with the vendor requirements and it is necessary to use a different
board data file.
This problem was solved for SMBIOS by adding a special SMBIOS type 0xF8.
Something similar has to be provided for systems without SMBIOS but with
device trees. No solution was specified by QCA and therefore a new one has
to be found for ath10k.

10.2.4 firmware branch (used in QCA988X) does not support
HTT_10_4_T2H_MSG_TYPE_PEER_STATS and that's why ath10k does not provide
tranmission rate statistics to user space, instead it just shows
hardcoded 6 Mbit/s. But pktlog firmware facility provides per peer tx
statistics. The firmware sends one pktlog event for every four
PPDUs per peer, which include:
* successful number of packets and bytes transmitted
* number of packets and bytes dropped
* retried number of packets and bytes
* rate info per ppdu
Firmware supports WMI_SERVICE_PEER_STATS, pktlog is enabled through
ATH10K_FLAG_PEER_STATS, which is nowadays enabled by default in ath10k.
This patch does not impact throughput.
Tested on QCA9880 with firmware version 10.2.4.70.48. This should also
work with firmware branch 10.2.4-1.0-00029
Parse peer stats from pktlog packets and update the tx rate information
per STA. This way user space can query about transmit rate with iw:

With current NAPI implementation, NAPI poll can deliver more frames
to net core than allotted budget. This may cause warning in napi_poll.
Remaining quota is not accounted, while processing amsdus in
rx_in_ord_ind and rx_ind queue. Adding num_msdus at last can not
prevent delivering more frames to net core. With this change,
all amdus from both in_ord_ind and rx_ind queues are processed and
enqueued into common skb list instead of delivering into mac80211.
Later msdus from common queue are dequeued and delivered depends on
quota availability. This change also simplifies the rx processing in
napi poll routine.

Data packets are not sent by STA in case of STA joined to
non QOS AP (WMM disabled AP). This is happening because of STA
is sending data packets to firmware from host with qos enabled
along with non qos queue value(TID = 16).
Due to qos enabled, firmware is discarding the packet.
This patch fixes this issue by updating the qos based on station
WME capability field if WMM is disabled in AP.
This patch is required by 10.4 family chipsets like
QCA4019/QCA9888/QCA9884/QCA99X0.
Firmware Versoin : 10.4-3.5.1-00018.
For 10.2.4 family chipsets QCA988X/QCA9887 and QCA6174 this patch
has no effect.

The 10.4 firmware defines this as a 3-bit field, as does the
mac80211 stack. The 4th bit is defined as CONF_IMPLICIT_BF
at least in the firmware header I have seen. This patch
fixes the ath10k wmi header to match the firmware.

At the moment, spectral scan support, and with it RELAY, is always enabled
with ATH10K_DEBUGFS. Spectral scan support is currently the only user of
RELAY in ath10k, and it unconditionally reserves a relay channel.
Having debugfs support in ath10k is often useful even on very small
embedded routers, where we'd rather like to avoid the code size and RAM
usage of the relay support. While ath10k-based devices usually have more
resources than ath9k-based ones, it makes sense to keep the configuration
symmetric to ath9k, so the same base kernel without RELAY can be used for
both ath9k and ath10k hardware.

The dump format uses 64-bit timestamps already, but calling
getnstimeofday() only returns a 32-bit number on 32-bit architectures,
so that will overflow in y2038.
This changes it to use ktime_get_real_ts64() instead.

Handle tdls peer events from the target. TDLS events for the peer
could be discover, teardown, etc. As of now, adding the logic to
handle tdls teardown events alone.
Teardown due to peer traffic indication(PTR) timeout is one such
teardown event from the target.
Tested this change on QCA9888 with 10.4-3.5.1-00018 fw version.

It is required to update the teardown state of the peer when
a tdls link with that peer is terminated. This information is
useful for the target to perform some cleanups wrt the tdls peer.
Without proper cleanup, target assumes that the peer is connected and
blocks future connection requests, updating the teardown state of the
peer addresses the problem.

Commit 4ca1807815 ("ath10k: disable wake_tx_queue for older devices")
disables the use of the mac80211 TXQs for some devices because of a theoretical
throughput regression. The original regression report[1] was related to
fq_codel qdisc drop performance, which was fixed in commit 9d18562a22
("fq_codel: add batch ability to fq_codel_drop()"). Since then, we have not
seen the TXQ-related regression, so it should be safe to re-enable TXQs.

Make sure 16-byte mic is removed from the rx data packet
tail when CCMP-256, GCMP and GCMP-256 ciphers are used
in raw decap mode. This fixed rx traffic failures in those
ciphers in raw mode. Split the helper returning crypto
tail length into two, one to get the ICV length and other
to get the mic lengh for the cipher to make it clean.

Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.
By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.
Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.
This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.
How this work was done:
Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
- file had no licensing information it it.
- file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
- file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,
Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.
The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.
The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files

immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.
These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.
These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.
By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.
Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.
This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.
How this work was done:
Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
- file had no licensing information it it.
- file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
- file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,
Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.
The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.
The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
- Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
- Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
lines of source
- File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
lines).
All documentation files were explicitly excluded.
The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.
- when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
COPYING file license applied.
For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

- when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
the concluded license(s).
- when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.
- In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).
- When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
- If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
in time.
In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.
Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.
In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.
Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
- a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
license ids and scores
- reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
- reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
SPDX license was correct

commit c9353bf483 made ath10k unstable with QCA6174 on his Dell XPS13 (9360)
with an error message:
ath10k_pci 0000:3a:00.0: failed to extract amsdu: -11
It only seemed to happen with certain APs, not all, but when it happened the
only way to get ath10k working was to switch the wifi off and on with a hotkey.
As this commit made things even worse (a warning vs breaking the whole
connection) let's revert the commit for now and while the issue is being fixed.

Rx data frames notified through HTT_T2H_MSG_TYPE_RX_IND and
HTT_T2H_MSG_TYPE_RX_FRAG_IND expect PN/TSC check to be done
on host (mac80211) rather than firmware. Rebuild cipher header
in every received data frames (that are notified through those
HTT interfaces) from the rx_hdr_status tlv available in the
rx descriptor of the first msdu. Skip setting RX_FLAG_IV_STRIPPED
flag for the packets which requires mac80211 PN/TSC check support
and set appropriate RX_FLAG for stripped crypto tail. Hw QCA988X,
QCA9887, QCA99X0, QCA9984, QCA9888 and QCA4019 currently need the
rebuilding of cipher header to perform PN/TSC check for replay
attack.
Please note that removing crypto tail for CCMP-256, GCMP and GCMP-256 ciphers
in raw mode needs to be fixed. Since Rx with these ciphers in raw
mode does not work in the current form even without this patch and
removing crypto tail for these chipers needs clean up, raw mode related
issues in CCMP-256, GCMP and GCMP-256 can be addressed in follow up
patches.

TDLS explicit mode, it expects WMI_TDLS_ENABLE_PASSIVE
for tdls setup and WMI_TDLS_DISABLE for tdls teardown.

Do not allow off channel operations like scans/roc when
there are active TDLS sessions.
The Current firmware 10.4-3.5.1-00035 on QCA9888 does not
supports any offchannel operations on active TDLS sessions,
either driver needs to block the offchannel operation requests
or should teardown the TDLS connection.

These are caused by the combination of the following two commits:

Both build fine on their own.
But now that ath10k_pci_pm_{suspend,resume}() is compiled
unconditionally, we should also compile ath10k_pci_{suspend,resume}()
unconditionally.
And drop the #ifdef around ath10k_pci_hif_{suspend,resume}() too; they
are trivial (empty), so we're not saving much space by compiling them
out. And the alternatives would be to sprinkle more __maybe_unused, or
spread the #ifdef's further.
Build tested with the following combinations:

QCA99x0 and QCA4019 family chips support CCMP-256, GCMP-128, and
GCMP-256 ciphers in hardware, so advertise support for these. As
firmware does not support group management frame ciphers (BIP),
handle them in software (mac80211).

Currently ath10k host enables power save support in station mode by
default for all firmwares but Power save for station mode still not supported
in some of the firmware versions. Which results in firmware crash while
issueing multiple scan commands.
Fix this problem by introducing new FW feature flag to check power save
support in firmware and then the firmware image can tell to ath10k that power
save mode is not supported in station mode.

For devices where the FW supports WoWLAN but user-space has not
configured it, we don't do any PCI-specific suspend/resume operations,
because mac80211 doesn't call drv_suspend() when !wowlan. This has
particularly bad effects for some platforms, because we don't stop the
power-save timer, and if this timer goes off after the PCI controller
has suspended the link, Bad Things will happen.
Commit 32faa3f0ee ("ath10k: add the PCI PM core suspend/resume ops")
got some of this right, in that it understood there was a problem on
non-WoWLAN firmware. But it forgot the $subject case.
Fix this by moving all the PCI driver suspend/resume logic exclusively
into the driver PM hooks. This shouldn't affect WoWLAN support much
(this just gets executed later on).
I would just as well kill the entirety of ath10k_hif_suspend(), as it's
not even implemented on the USB or SDIO drivers. I expect that we don't
need the callback, except to return "supported" (i.e., 0) or "not
supported" (i.e., -EOPNOTSUPP).

ACPI will rely on device driver to tell it if the device could support
wakeup function when system in D3 state.
This has caused some platform can't support remote wakeup correctly,
because the ACPI wakeup GPE is not enabled, hence registers the .set_wakeup
callback to handle it if device supports wakeup.
Tested with QCA6174 hw3.0, firmware ('WLAN.RM.4.4.1-00008-QCARMSWP-1')

The actual PCI suspend/resume in ath10k has been handled in wow.c,
but in the case of the device doesn't support remote wakeup,
the .hif_suspend() and .hif_resume() will never be handled.

In commit 9f5bcfe933 ("ath10k: silence firmware file probing
warnings") the firmware loading was changed from request_firmware() to
request_firmware_direct() to silence some warnings in case it fails.
request_firmware_direct() directly searches in the file system only and
does not send a hotplug event to user space in case it could not find
the firmware directly.
In LEDE we use a user space script to extract the calibration data from
the flash memory which gets triggered by the hotplug event. This way the
firmware gets extracted from some vendor specific partition when the
driver requests this firmware. This mechanism does not work any more
after this change.

irq_wq in struct ath10k_sdio is a remnant from an earlier
version of the sdio patchset.
Its use was removed as a result of Kalle's review, but somehow
the struct member survived.
It is not used and can therefore safely be removed.

In napi_poll, the budget number is used to control the amount of packets
we should handle per poll to balance the resource in the system.
In the list of the amsdu packets reception, we check if there is budget
count left and handle the complete list of the packets, that it will have
chances the very last list will over the budget leftover.
So adding one more parameter - budget_left, this would help while
traversing the list to avoid handling more than the budget given.

The rx ring buffers are added to a hash table if
firmware support full rx reorder. If the full rx
reorder support flag is not set before allocating
the rx ring buffers, none of the buffers are added
to the hash table.
There is a race condition between rx ring refill and
rx buffer replenish from napi poll. The interrupts are
enabled in hif start, before the rx ring is refilled during init.
We replenish buffers from napi poll due to the interrupts which
get enabled after hif start. Hence before the entire rx ring is
refilled during the init, the napi poll replenishes a few buffers
in steps of 100 buffers per attempt. During this rx ring replenish
from napi poll, the rx reorder flag has not been set due to which
the replenished buffers are not added to the hash table
Set the rx full reorder support flag before we allocate
the rx ring buffer to avoid the memory leak.

Commit a53e35db70 ("reset: Ensure drivers are explicit when requesting
reset lines") started to transition the reset control request API calls
to explicitly state whether the driver needs exclusive or shared reset
control behavior. Convert all drivers requesting exclusive resets to the
explicit API call so the temporary transition helpers can be removed.
No functional changes.

WMI interface for all the firmwares(except QCA6174) does not include the
type of peer(default/bss/tdls) requested during peer creation, therefore
target creates a default peer.
TDLS implementation on 10.4 firmware requires host to configure the
peer type(tdls) for TDLS peers. This patch adds peer type parameter to the
existing WMI interface for peer creation to accommodate this requirement.
Tested this change on QCA9888(10.4-3.5.1-00018) and QCA988x(10.2.4.70.9-2)
with ping tests for AP/STA modes.

Though there is room to accommodate 512 services in wmi service
ready event, target uses only first 4-bits of each 32-bit word for
advertising wmi services thereby limiting max wmi services to 64.
TDLS implementation for 10.4 firmwares introduces new wmi services by
making use of remaining unused bits of each 32-bit word, therefore the
wmi service mapping in host needs to be extended.
This patch adds the logic to extend the wmi SVCMAP to accommodate new
wmi services.

Chipsets like QCA9377 have support for USB so add initial USB bus
support to ath10k. With this patch we have the low level HIF and
HTC protocol working and it's possible to boot the firmware,
but it's still not possible to connect or anything like.
More changes are needed for full functionality. For that reason
we print during initialisation:
WARNING: ath10k USB support is incomplete, don't expect anything to work!

Set the a-mpdu reference number in ath10k to make it accessible in the
receivers radiotap header. Implemented as in ath9k. The reference number is
needed for troubleshooting and research at the receivers site (e.g. to identify
mpdu's that were aggregated in an a-mpdu)

QCA9888 supports VHT80 with 2x2. But it only support 1x1 with VHT160 or
VHT80+80. Inform userspace and the the QCA firmware about that limitation
whenever VHT80+80 or VHT160 is configured.

QCA9984 hardware can do 4x4 at 80Mhz, but only 2x2 at 160Mhz.
First, report this to user-space by setting the max-tx-speed
and max-rx-speed vht capabilities.
Second, if the peer rx-speed is configured, and if we
are in 160 or 80+80 mode, and the peer rx-speed matches
the max speed for 2x2 or 1x1 at 160Mhz (long guard interval),
then use that info to set the peer_bw_rxnss_override appropriately.
Without this, a 9984 firmware will not use 2x2 ratesets when
transmitting to peer (it will be stuck at 1x1), because
the firmware would not have configured the rxnss_override.

The ath10k firmware doesn't announce its VHT channel width capabilities in
the vht_cap information from the "service ready event" arguments. The
driver must therefore check whether the 160MHz short GI bit is set and
whether the driver still doesn't set the bits for the 160/80+80 MHz
capabilities.
The two bits for the channel width are a two bit integer and not two
separate bits which cannot be parsed without the knowledge of the other
bit. Using IEEE80211_VHT_CAP_SUPP_CHAN_WIDTH_160_80PLUS80MHZ (b10..) as a
mask for this task doesn't make any sense. The correct mask for the VHT
channel width should be used instead to make this check more readable.

Define structures for the copy engine ctrl/misc registers,
that includes CE CMD halt, watermark source, watermark destination,
host IE ring, source, destination and dmax ring.
This adds support to avoid the conditional compilation,

The original idea is to limit the maximum TDLS peer link, but the logic
is always false, and never be able to restrict the number of TDLS peer
creation.
Fix the logic here and also move the checking earlier, so that it could
avoid to handle the failure case, e.g disable the tdls peer, delete the
peer and also vdev count cleanup.

QCA99X0, QCA9888, QCA9984 supports calibration data in
either OTP or DT/pre-cal file. Current ath10k supports
Calibration data from OTP only.
If caldata is loaded from DT/pre-cal file, fetching board id
and applying calibration parameters like tx power gets failed.

ath10k firmware checks nbytes == 0 as part of determining if DMA
has completed successfully. To help make this work more often,
have the driver initialize nbytes to zero when freeing the descriptor
slot.

When testing a 9888 chipset NIC, I notice it often takes
almost 2 seconds, and then many times OTP fails, probably due
to the two-second timeout.

This reverts commit b057886524 ("ath10k: do not use coherent memory for
allocated device memory chunks") in 2015 which converted this allocation from
dma_map_coherent() to kzalloc() / dma_map_single().
The current problem manifests when using later model NICs with larger
(>700KiB) scratch spaces in memory. Although the kzalloc call
succeeds, the software IOMMU TLB code (via dma_map_single()) panics
because it can't find 700KiB of linear physmem bounce buffers for DMA.
Now, this is a bit of a silly failure mode for the dma map API,
but it's what we currently have to play with.
In these cases, doing kzalloc() works fine, but the dma_map_single()
call fails.
After chatting with Linus briefly about this, it indeed should be
using dma_alloc_coherent() for doing larger device memory allocation
that requires some kind of physical address mapping.
You're not supposed to be using kzalloc and dma_map_* calls for
large memory regions, and I'm guessing not for long-held mappings
either. Typically dma mappings should be temporary for DMA,
not long held like these.
Now, since hopefully the major annoying underlying problem has also been
addressed (ie, ath10k is no longer tears down all of these allocations
and reallocates them every time the vdevs are brought down) fragmentation
should stop being such a touchy issue. If it is though, using
dma_alloc_coherent() use gets us access to the CMB APIs too relatively
easily and ideally we would be allocating memory early in boot for
exactly these reasons.

The QCA4019 firmware 10.4-3.2.1-00050 reports only HT MCS rates between
0-9. But 802.11n MCS rates can be larger than that. For example a 2x2
device can send with up to MCS 15.
The firmware encodes the higher MCS rates using the NSS field. The actual
calculation is not documented by QCA but it seems like the NSS field can be
mapped for HT rates to following MCS offsets:
* NSS 1: 0
* NSS 2: 8
* NSS 3: 16
* NSS 4: 24
This offset therefore has to be added for HT rates before they are stored
in the rate_info struct.

During write to debugfs file simulate_fw_crash, fixed-size local buffer
'buf' is accessed and modified at index 'count-1', where 'count' is the
size of the write (so potentially out of bounds).

Chipsets like QCA6584 have support for SDIO so add initial SDIO bus support to
ath10k. With this patch we have the low level HTC protocol working and it's
possible to boot the firmware, but it's still not possible to connect or
anything like. More changes are needed for full functionality. For that reason
we print during initialisation:
WARNING: ath10k SDIO support is incomplete, don't expect anything to work!

Code refactorization:
Moved the code for ep 0 in ath10k_htc_rx_completion_handler
to ath10k_htc_control_rx_complete.
This eases the implementation of SDIO/mbox significantly since
the ep_rx_complete cb is invoked directly from the SDIO/mbox
hif layer.
Since the ath10k_htc_control_rx_complete already is present
(only containing a warning message) there is no reason for not
using it (instead of having a special case for ep 0 in
ath10k_htc_rx_completion_handler).

This patch moves the HTC ctrl service connect from
htc_wait_target to htc_init.
This is done in order to make sure the htc ctrl service
is setup properly before hif_start is called.
The reason for this is that we want the HTC ctrl service
callback to be initialized before the target sends the
HTC ready message.
The ready message will always be transmitted on endpoint 0
(which is always assigned to the HTC control service) so it
makes more sense if HTC control has been connected before the
ready message is received.
Since the service to pipe mapping is done as a part of
the service connect, the get_default_pipe call is redundant
and was removed.

The RX trailer parsing is now capable of parsing lookahead reports.
A lookahead contains the first 4 bytes of the next HTC message
(that will be read in the next SDIO read operation).
Lookaheads are used by the SDIO/mbox HIF layer to determine if
the next message is part of a bundle, which endpoint it belongs
to and how long it is.

For QCA6174 hw3.0, since WLAN.RM.4.4-00022-QCARMSWPZ-2, it starts to
support the board ID information from otp, with some devices released on
the market that didn't calibrated with OTP, will have 0 for board ID
information, which cause the backward compatibility issue and was fixed
in commit 'd2e202c06ca4 ("ath10k: ignore configuring the incorrect board_id")'
So bump the fw api version to differentiate the latest firmware support.

spectral_bin length (number of bins per fft sample) is usually
a value where (2^n = value), n is an integer. All of the QCA99X0
family of chipsets seems to report a spectral_bin length of
2^n + 'm' bytes, where m = 4, 12 based on the chipset. This 'm'
bytes seems to carry some radar related info which is currently
discarded only for 'bin_len = 68' bytes. Extend this discarding of
irrelevant 'bin_len' for QCA9984, QCA9888, IPQ4019 as well by
introducing a hardware parameter 'spectral_bin_discard'. Also
for QCA988X based family of chipsets which doesn't seem to have this
issue and also for some of the hardware which I have not tested
like QCA6174/QCA9377 the existing behaviour is retained as it is.

In 'ath10k_ce_alloc_pipe' the compile time sanity check to
ensure that there is sufficient buffers in CE4 for HTT Tx
MSDU descriptors, but this did not take into account of the

If station advertises diffferent NSS capabilities in Rx_mcs set
of HT and VHT IEs in assoc req, the current NSS computation
logic configures the NSS support only based on Rx_mcs set of
HT capabilities in the driver. This is configuring the station
NSS capabilities incorreclty in the target.
For example, if station advertise Rx_mcs set as 2 spatial streams
in HT capabilities and 1 spatial streams in VHT capabilities in
assoc request, as per current logic we are calculating nss from
HT capabilities and the driver sets peer_num_spatial_streams as
2 for the station which is configured in VHT 1*1.
This patchs fix this issue by calculating the nss from VHT cap if
station supports vht.

Move NAPI enable to 'ath10k_ahb_hif_start' from
'ath10k_ahb_hif_power_up'. This is to maintain the symmetry
of calling napi_enable() from ath10k_ahb_hif_start() so that it
matches with napi_disable() being called from ath10k_pci_hif_stop().
This change is based on the crash fix from Kalle for PCI interface in
commit 1427228d58 ("ath10k: fix napi crash during rmmod when probe
firmware fails").

In the 'commit ebee76f7fa ("ath10k: allow setting coverage class")',
it inherits the design and the address offset from ath9k, but the address
is not applicable to QCA6174, which leads to a random crash while doing the
resume() operation, since the set_coverage_class.ops will be called from
ieee80211_reconfig() when resume() (if the wow is not configured).
Fix the incorrect address offset here to avoid the random crash.
Verified on QCA6174/hw3.0 with firmware WLAN.RM.4.4-00022-QCARMSWPZ-2.

Fetch target operating channel during potential radar detection when
the interface is just brought up, but no channel is assigned from
userspace. In this scenario rx_channel may not be having a valid pointer
hence fetch the target operating channel to avoid warnings as below

If a 5 GHz radio is calibrated for operation in both
the low band (channels 36 to 64) and high band(channels 100 to 169),
hardware allows operations in all the listed channels. However,
if the chip has been calibrated only for the low/high band and
a high/low band channel is configured, due to lack of calibration
there will be potentially invalid signal on those non calibrated channels.
To avoid this problem this patch sets IEEE80211_CHAN_DISABLED flag for
those non calibrated channels by using low_5ghz_chan and high_5ghz_chan
values which we get from target through wmi service ready event.
Driver initialized flags are getting re initialized in handle_channel
in cfg80211. So calling the function to disable the non supported channel
from reg_notifier().

If DFS is not enabled in hostapd (ieee80211h=0) DFS channels shall
not be available for use even though the hardware may have the capability
to support DFS. With this configuration (DFS disabled in hostapd) trying to
bring up ath10k device in DFS channel for AP mode fails and trying to
simulate DFS in ath10k debugfs results in a warning in cfg80211 complaining
invalid channel and this should be avoided in the driver itself rather than
false propogating RADAR detection to mac80211/cfg80211. Fix this by
checking for the first vif 'is_started' state(should work for client mode
as well) as all the vifs shall be configured for the same channel

Len Brown reported the system resume time is taking more than 2 seconds in
bug - https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185621.
The reason of the 2 seconds is due to the firmware download time.
The chip is booted up in the default reference clock speed to handle the
firmware download to chip memory and advanced to the support higher speed
clock to run the firmware after all. The default reference clock in the
hardware is slow so that the firmware download time is taking up to 2
seconds for a 600KB firmware file.

The resolution here is to enable the higher speed clock if the hardware
supported before the firmware download at BMI stage, so that the hardware
can handle the firmare download in a more efficient way. This can help to
improve the firmware download time from 2 seconds to around 500ms for the
same 600KB firmware file.

Set the NL80211_EXT_FEATURE_CQM_RSSI_LIST wiphy extended feature
wholesale in all mac80211-based drivers that do not set the
IEEE80211_VIF_BEACON_FILTER flags on their interfaces. mac80211 will
be processing supplied RSSI values in ieee80211_rx_mgmt_beacon and
will detect when the thresholds set by
ieee80211_set_cqm_rssi_range_config are crossed. Remaining (few)
drivers need code to enable the firmware to monitor the thresholds.
This is mostly only compile-tested.

Board Data File (BDF) is loaded upon driver boot-up procedure. The right
board data file is identified, among others, by device and sybsystem ids.
The problem, however, can occur when the (default) board data file cannot
fulfill with the vendor requirements and it is necessary to use a different
board data file.
To solve the issue QCA uses SMBIOS type 0xF8 to store Board Data File Name
Extension to specify the extension/variant name. The driver will take the
extension suffix into consideration and will load the right (non-default)
board data file if necessary.
If it is unnecessary to use extension board data file, please leave the
SMBIOS field blank and default configuration will be used.
Example:
If a default board data file for a specific board is identified by a string
"bus=pci,vendor=168c,device=003e,subsystem-vendor=1028,
subsystem-device=0310"
then the OEM specific data file, if used, could be identified by variant
suffix:
"bus=pci,vendor=168c,device=003e,subsystem-vendor=1028,
subsystem-device=0310,variant=DE_1AB"
If board data file name extension is set but board-2.bin does not contain
board data file for the variant, the driver will fallback to the default
board data file not to break backward compatibility.
This was first applied in commit f2593cb1b2 ("ath10k: Search SMBIOS for OEM
board file extension") but later reverted in commit 005c3490e9 ("Revert
"ath10k: Search SMBIOS for OEM board file extension"". This patch is now
otherwise the same as commit f2593cb1b2 except the regression fixed.

But not all boards have the board id in OTP so this is not a problem and no
need to confuse the user with that info. So this can be safely changed to a

Firmware files are versioned to prevent older
driver instances to load unsupported firmware
blobs. This is reflected with a fallback logic
which attempts to load several firmware files.
This however produced a lot of unnecessary
warnings sometimes confusing users and leading
them to rename firmware files making things even
more confusing.
Hence use request_firmware_direct() which does not
produce extra warnings. This shouldn't really
break anything because most modern systems don't
rely on udev/hotplug helpers to load firmware
files anymore. For example it was confirmed that
LEDE does not user helper.
This also fixes a 60 second delay per _each_
unexistent firmware/calibration file with distros
which have CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER_FALLBACK
enabled, RHEL being a notable example. Using
ath10k with firmware-2.bin this might end up
into a five minute delay in boot.

To make it easier to handle minimum and maximum firmware API numbers convert
the firmware fetch functionality to a loop. If no firmware image is found print
an error with minimum and maximum API numbers and the name of firmware
directory. This is needed when we switch to using request_firmware_direct()
which doesn't print any errors anymore.
Also add a new function for creating the fw file name dynamically which makes it
easier to add new bus support, for example SDIO and USB, later.

This fixes the below crash when ath10k probe firmware fails, NAPI polling tries
to access a rx ring resource which was never allocated. An easy way to
reproduce this is easy to remove all the firmware files, load ath10k modules
and ath10k will crash when calling 'rmmod ath10k_pci'. The fix is to call
napi_enable() from ath10k_pci_hif_start() so that it matches with
napi_disable() being called from ath10k_pci_hif_stop().
Big thanks to Mohammed Shafi Shajakhan who debugged this and provided first
version of the fix. In this patch I just fix the actual problem in pci.c
instead of having a workaround in core.c.

With QCA4019 platform, SRAM address can be accessed directly from host but
currently, we are assuming sram addresses cannot be accessed directly and
hence we convert the addresses.
While there, clean up growing hw checks during conversion of target CPU
address to CE address. Now we have function pointer pertaining to different
chips.

This patch provides support to get per peer tids log.

XX:XX/peer_debug_trigger
These logs will be the part of FWLOGS which we collect the logs
via tracing interface. Here we will get the peer tigd logs only
once(not repeatedly) when we write 1 to the debugfs file.

Board Data File (BDF) is loaded upon driver boot-up procedure. The right
board data file is identified, among others, by device and sybsystem ids.
The problem, however, can occur when the (default) board data file cannot
fulfill with the vendor requirements and it is necessary to use a different
board data file.
To solve the issue QCA uses SMBIOS type 0xF8 to store Board Data File Name
Extension to specify the extension/variant name. The driver will take the
extension suffix into consideration and will load the right (non-default)
board data file if necessary.
If it is unnecessary to use extension board data file, please leave the
SMBIOS field blank and default configuration will be used.
Example:
If a default board data file for a specific board is identified by a string
"bus=pci,vendor=168c,device=003e,subsystem-vendor=1028,
subsystem-device=0310"
then the OEM specific data file, if used, could be identified by variant
suffix:

Not clearing the previous tx bit rate status
results in a ambigous tx bit rate reporting to
mac80211/cfg80211, for example the previous bit
rate status would have been marked as legacy rate
, while the current rate would have been an HT/VHT
rate with the tx bit rate flags set and this results
in exporting tx bitrate as legacy rate but with HT/VHT
rate flags set, fix this by clearing the tx bitrate
status for each event. This also fixes the below

Station pointers are RCU protected so driver must
be extra careful if it tries to store them
internally for later use outside of the RCU
section it obtained it in.
It was possible for station teardown to race with
some htt events. The possible outcome could be a
use-after-free and a crash.
Only peer-flow-control capable firmware was
affected (so hardware-wise qca99x0 and qca4019).
This could be done in sta_state() itself via
explicit synchronize_net() call but there's
already a convenient sta_pre_rcu_remove() op that
can be hooked up to avoid extra rcu stall.
The peer->sta pointer itself can't be set to
NULL/ERR_PTR because it is later used in
sta_state() for extra sanity checks.

In countries where basic operation of channel 169 is allowed,
this fixes the below WARN_ON_ONCE in Rx and fixes the station
connectivity failure in channel 169 as the packet is dropped
in the driver as the current check limits to channel 165. As of
now all the packets beyond channel 165 is dropped, fix this
by extending the range to channel 169.

The 10.4 firmware adds extended peer information to the
firmware's statistics payload. This additional info is
stored as a separate data field and the elements are
stored in their own "peers_extd" list.
These elements can pile up in the same way as the peer
information elements. This is because the
ath10k_wmi_10_4_op_pull_fw_stats() function tries to
pull the same amount (num_peer_stats) for every statistic
data unit.

With command to get board_id from otp, in the case of following
boot get otp board id result 0x00000000 board_id 0 chip_id 0
boot using board name 'bus=pci,bmi-chip-id=0,bmi-board-id=0"

failed to fetch board data for bus=pci,bmi-chip-id=0,bmi-board-id=0 from
ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board-2.bin
The invalid board_id=0 will be used as index to search in the board-2.bin.
Ignore the case with board_id=0, as it means the otp is not carrying
the board id information.

The txpower is being recalculated when adding interface to make sure
txpower won't overshoot the spec, and when removing the interface,
the txpower should again to be recalculated to restore the correct value
from the active interface list.
Following is one of the scenario
vdev0 is created as STA and connected: txpower:23
vdev1 is created as P2P_DEVICE for control interface: txpower:0
vdev2 is created as p2p go/gc interface: txpower is 21
So the vdev2@txpower:21 will be set to firmware when vdev2 is created.
When we tear down the vdev2, the txpower needs to be recalculated to
re-set it to vdev0@txpower:23 as vdev0/vdev1 are the active interface.

Whenever firmware crashes, and both CONFIG_ATH10K_DEBUGFS and
CONFIG_ALLOW_DEV_COREDUMP are enabled, dump information about the crash via a
devcoredump device. Dump can be read from userspace for further analysis from:
/sys/class/devcoredump/devcd*/data
As until now we have provided the firmware crash dump file via fw_crash_dump
debugfs keep it still available but deprecate and a warning print that the user
should switch to using dev_coredump.
Future improvement would be not to depend on CONFIG_ATH10K_DEBUGFS, as there
might be systems which want to get the firmware crash dump but not enable
debugfs. How to handle memory consumption is also something which needs to be
taken into account.

Ath10k reports the phy capability that supports P2P_DEVICE interface.
When we use the P2P supported wpa_supplicant to start connection, it'll
create two interfaces, one is wlan0 (vdev_id=0) and one is P2P_DEVICE
p2p-dev-wlan0 which is for p2p control channel (vdev_id=1).

And the txpower in per vif bss_conf will only be set to valid tx power when
the interface is assigned with channel_ctx.
But this P2P_DEVICE interface will never be used for any connection, so
that the uninitialized bss_conf.txpower=0 is assinged to the
arvif->txpower when interface created.
Since the txpower configuration is firmware per physical interface.
So the smallest txpower of all vifs will be the one limit the tx power
of the physical device, that causing the low txpower issue on other
active interfaces.

The cts protection vdev parameter, in new QCA9377 TF2.0 firmware,
requires bss peer to be created for the STATION vdev type.
bss peer is being allocated by the firmware after vdev_start/_up commands.
mac80211 may call the cts protection setup at any time, so the

Similarly to QCA6174, QCA9377 requires the CE5 configuration to be
available for other feature. Use the ath10k_pci_override_ce_config()
for it as well.
This is required for TF2.0 firmware. Previous FW revisions were
working fine without this patch.

The comment on the name indirection suggested an issue but turned out

With maximum number of vap's configured in a two radio supported
systems of ~256 Mb RAM, doing a continuous wifi down/up and
intermittent traffic streaming from the connected stations results
in failure to allocate contiguous memory for tx buffers. This results
in the disappearance of all VAP's and a manual reboot is needed as
this is not a crash (or) OOM(for OOM killer to be invoked). To address
this allocate contiguous memory for tx buffers one time and re-use them
until the modules are unloaded but this results in a slight increase in
memory footprint of ath10k when the wifi is down, but the modules are
still loaded. Also as of now we use a separate bool 'tx_mem_allocated'
to keep track of the one time memory allocation, as we cannot come up
with something like 'ath10k_tx_{register,unregister}' before
'ath10k_probe_fw' is called as 'ath10k_htt_tx_alloc_cont_frag_desc'

During firmware crash (or) user requested manual restart
the system gets into a soft lock up state because of the
below root cause.
During user requested hardware restart / firmware crash
the system goes into a soft lockup state as 'napi_synchronize'
is called after 'napi_disable' (which sets 'NAPI_STATE_SCHED'
bit) and it sleeps into infinite loop as it waits for
'NAPI_STATE_SCHED' to be cleared. This condition is hit because
'ath10k_hif_stop' is called twice as below (resulting in calling
'napi_synchronize' after 'napi_disable')
'ath10k_core_restart' -> 'ath10k_hif_stop' (ATH10K_STATE_ON) ->
-> 'ieee80211_restart_hw' -> 'ath10k_start' -> 'ath10k_halt' ->

There is a typo bug in the current implementation of
ath10k_wmi_tlv_op_gen_pdev_set_rd.
The conformance test limits are not set up properly.
The two arguments ctl2g and ctl5g were not used at all.
Instead, the regdomain arguments rd2g and rd5g were used
for the ctl settings as well.

In order to receive other BSS entries in mesh mode, Monitor vdev
is created whenever filter flag is set with OTHER_BSS. Recently
it is root caused that setting promisc filter for Mesh interface
is causing performance and stability issues. To fix this issue,
firmware will configure appropriate rxfilters by default for mesh
vdev during vdev creation. This change fixes monitor vdev creation
based on firmware IE

Per peer tx stats are part of 'HTT_10_4_T2H_MSG_TYPE_PEER_STATS'
event, Firmware sends one HTT event for every four PPDUs.
HTT payload has success pkts/bytes, failed pkts/bytes, retry
pkts/bytes and rate info per ppdu.
Peer stats are enabled through 'WMI_SERVICE_PEER_STATS',
which are nowadays enabled by default.
Parse peer stats and update the tx rate information per STA.
tx rate, Peer stats are tested on QCA4019 with Firmware version
10.4-3.2.1-00028.

Neither of these did the right thing:
- get_tsf just returned 0
- set_tsf assumed a simple offset was applied against
get_tsf(), which works, except in the case of
calculating TSF from rx_mactime (actual TSF).
Just remove them for now. We can reimplement set_tsf in
terms of TSF increment/decrement in the future if get_tsf
is ever supported by FW.

Current set_tsf is implemented in terms of TSF_INCREMENT
only. Instead support new WMI command TSF_DECREMENT and
export these through offset_tsf. Advantage is we get
more accurate TSF adjustments, and don't calculate wrong
offset in case absolute TSF was calculated from rx_mactime
(actual TSF).
The new WMI command is available in firmware
10.4-3.2.1-00033 for QCA4019 chips. Old drivers on new
firmware or vice versa shouldn't be a problem since
get/set tsf logic was already broken.

Indicate hardware (or firmware) supports that CQM packet-loss report
will be generated based on station kickout algorithm. As of now mac80211
tracks connection loss by missing msdu counts (50) whereas ath10k
firmware tracks them by missing ppdus (+ BAR tries). While firmware is
trying to adapt its rate table, mac80211 might send out low_ack event to
hostapd. This is causing frequent connect and disconnect iteration under
noisy environment or when station is roaming around.

Currently mac80211 determines whether HW does fragmentation
by checking whether the set_frag_threshold callback is set
or not.
However, some drivers may want to set the HW fragmentation
capability depending on HW generation.
Allow this by checking a HW flag instead of checking the
callback.

arvifs list is traversed within data_lock spin_lock in tasklet
context to fill channel information from the corresponding vif.
This means any access to arvifs list for add/del operations
should also be protected with the same spin_lock to avoid the
race. Fix this by performing list add/del on arvfis within the
data_lock. This could fix kernel panic something like the below.

'ath10k_htt_rx_h_unchain' needs to be called only if the return
value from 'ath10k_htt_rx_amsdu_pop' is 1('chained msdu's'), this
change makes it more explicit and avoids doing a skb_peek, fetching
rx descriptor pointer, checking rx msdu decap format for the case of
ret = 0 (unchained msdus). Found this change during code walk through,
not sure if this addresses any issue.

Commit 0b8e3c4ca2 ("ath10k: move cal data len to hw_params") broke retrieving
the calibration data from cal_data debugfs file. The length of file was always
zero. The reason is:

This is obviously bogus, private_data cannot contain both struct ath10k and the
buffer. Fix it by caching calibration data to ar->debug.cal_data. This also
allows it to be accessed when the device is not active (interface is down).
The cal_data buffer is fixed size because during the first firmware probe we
don't yet know what will be the lenght of the calibration data. It was simplest
just to use a fixed length. There's a WARN_ON() in
ath10k_debug_cal_data_fetch() if the buffer is too small.
Tested with qca988x and firmware 10.2.4.70.56.

Unfortunately ath10k does not generally allow modifying the coverage class
with the stock firmware and Qualcomm has so far refused to implement this
feature so that it can be properly supported in ath10k. If we however know
the registers that need to be modified for proper operation with a higher
coverage class, then we can do these modifications from the driver.
This is a hack and might cause subtle problems but as it's not enabled by
default (only when user space changes the coverage class explicitly) it should
not cause new problems for existing setups. But still this should be considered
as an experimental feature and used with caution.
This patch implements the support for first generation cards (QCA9880, QCA9887
and so on) which are based on a core that is similar to ath9k. The registers
are modified in place and need to be re-written every time the firmware sets
them. To achieve this the register status is verified after certain WMI events
from the firmware.
The coverage class may not be modified temporarily right after the card
re-initializes the registers. This is for example the case during scanning.
Thanks to Sebastian Gottschall <s.gottschall@dd-wrt.com> for initially
working on a userspace support for this. This patch wouldn't have been
possible without this documentation.

This overrides whatever regulatory the device
EEPROM contains and uses what the platform says
instead - in this implementation the ACPI driver.
In case the hint is not programmed or corrupted (0xffff)
the device falls back to the eeprom programmed settings.

Firmware is running watchdog timer for tracking copy engine ring index
and write index. Whenever both indices are stuck at same location for
given duration, watchdog will be trigger to assert target. While
updating copy engine destination ring write index, driver ensures that
write index will not be same as read index by finding delta between these
two indices (CE_RING_DELTA).
HTT target to host copy engine (CE5) is special case where ring buffers
will be reused and delta check is not applied while updating write index.
In rare scenario, whenever CE5 ring is full, both indices will be referring
same location and this is causing CE ring stuck issue as explained
above. This issue is originally reported on IPQ4019 during long hour stress
testing and during veriwave max clients testsuites. The same issue is
also observed in other chips as well. Fix this by ensuring that write
index is one less than read index which means that full ring is
available for receiving data.

Ignore processing further in SWBA event scheduled for a vif, if mac80211
has marked the particular vif for stop beaconing and brought the vdev
down in 'ath10k_control_beaconing'. This should potentially avoid ath10k
warning/error messages while running continuous wifi down/up with max
number of vaps configured. Found this change during code walk through
and going through other beacon configuration related functions in ath10k

Chipset from QCA99X0 onwards (QCA99X0, QCA9984, QCA4019 & future)
rx_hdr_status is not padded to align in 4-byte boundary. Define a
new hw_params field to handle different alignment behaviour between
different hw. This patch fixes improper retrieval of rfc1042 header
with QCA4019. This patch along with "ath10k: Properly remove padding
from the start of rx payload" will fix traffic failure in ethernet
decap mode for QCA4019.

hw_4addr_pad was added to handle different types of padding
in 4-address rx frame. But this padding is not very specific
to 4-address, it can happen even with three address + ethernet
decap mode. Since the padding information can be obtained
through Rx desc for QCA99X0 and newer chips, this hw_param
is not needed any more.

In QCA99X0 (QCA99X0, QCA9984, QCA9888 and QCA4019) family chips,
hw adds padding at the begining of the rx payload to make L3
header 4-byte aligned. In the chips doing this type of padding,
the number of bytes padded will be indicated through msdu_end:info1.
Define a hw_rx_desc_ops wrapper to retrieve the number of padded
bytes and use this while doing undecap. This should fix padding
related issues with ethernt decap format with QCA99X0, QCA9984,
QCA9888 and QCA4019 hw.

There are slight differences in Rx hw descriptor information
among different chips. So far driver does not use those new
information for any functionalities, but there is one important
information which is available from QCA99X0 onwards to indicate
the number of bytes that hw padded at the begining of the rx
payload and this information is needed to undecap the rx
packet. Add an abstraction for Rx desc to make use of the
new desc information available. The callback that this patch
defines to retrieve the padding bytes will be used in follow-up
patch.

IFTYPE_MESH_POINT need to rely on these for accurate path
selection metrics. Other modes will probably also find
them useful. Enabling peer stats has the side effect of
reducing max number of STAs from 128 to 118. There should
be negligible performance impact.
If users really need 128 STAs and don't mind losing out on
peer stats, they can still disable them:

Commit 3c97f5de1f ("ath10k: implement NAPI support") conflicts with

When user requests for survey dump data, driver is providing wrong survey
information. This information we sent is the survey data that we have
collected during previous user request.
This issue occurs because we request survey dump for wrong channel. With

commit 7a0adc83f3 ("ath10k: improve tx scheduling") is causing
severe throughput drop in multi client mode. This issue is originally
reported in veriwave setup with 50 clients with TCP downlink traffic.
While increasing number of clients, the average throughput drops
gradually. With 50 clients, the combined peak throughput is decreased
to 98 Mbps whereas reverting given commit restored it to 550 Mbps.
Processing txqs for every tx completion is causing overhead. Ideally for
management frame tx completion, pending txqs processing can be avoided.
The change partly reverts the commit "ath10k: improve tx scheduling".
Processing pending txqs after all skbs tx completion will yeild enough
room to burst tx frames.

Add NAPI support for rx and tx completion. NAPI poll is scheduled
from interrupt handler. The design is as below
- on interrupt
- schedule napi and mask interrupts
- on poll
- process all pipes (no actual Tx/Rx)
- process Rx within budget
- if quota exceeds budget reschedule napi poll by returning budget
- process Tx completions and update budget if necessary
- process Tx fetch indications (pull-push)
- push any other pending Tx (if possible)
- before resched or napi completion replenish htt rx ring buffer
- if work done < budget, complete napi poll and unmask interrupts
This change also get rid of two tasklets (intr_tq and txrx_compl_task).
Measured peak throughput with NAPI on IPQ4019 platform in controlled
environment. No noticeable reduction in throughput is seen and also
observed improvements in CPU usage. Approx. 15% CPU usage got reduced
in UDP uplink case.

Older firmware with HTT delivers incorrect tx status for null func
frames to driver, but this fixed in 10.2 and 10.4 firmware versions.
Also this workaround results in reporting of incorrect null func status
for 10.4. Fix this is by introducing a firmware feature flag for 10.4
so that this workaround is skipped and proper tx status for null func
frames are reported

Commit 97f2645f35 ("tree-wide: replace config_enabled() with
IS_ENABLED()") mostly did away with config_enabled().
This is one of the postponed TODO items as config_enabled() is used
for a tristate option here. Theoretically, config_enabled() is
equivalent to IS_BUILTIN(), but I guess IS_REACHABLE() is the best
fit for this case because both CONFIG_HWMON and CONFIG_ATH10K are
tristate.

For 10.4 fw versions, dbglog module id has been extended from u32
to u64, hence this patch fixes the same in the ath10k driver side.
This patch doesn't break the older 10.4 releases. The FW change
is already present in the older FWs.

In the wake tx queue path, we are not checking if the frame to be sent
takes management path or not. For eg. QOS null func frame coming here will
take the management path. Since we are not incrementing the descriptor
counter (num_pending_mgmt_tx) w.r.t tx management, on tx completion it is
possible to see negative values.
When the above counter reaches a negative value, we will not be sending a
probe response out.

For IPQ4019, max_probe_resp_desc_thres (u32) is 24 is compared against
num_pending_mgmt_tx (int) and the above condtions comes true if the counter

the frame and increment the appropriate counters

txqs_lock is interfering with wake_tx_queue submitting more frames.
so queues don't get filled in and don't keep firmware/hardware busy
enough. This change helps to reduce the txqs_lock contention and
wake_tx_queue() blockage to being possible in txrx_unref().
To reduce turn around time of wake_tx_queue ops and to maintain fairness
among all txqs, the callback is updated to push first txq alone from
pending list for every wake_tx_queue call. Remaining txqs will be
processed later upon tx completion.
Below improvements are observed in push-only mode and validated on
IPQ4019 platform. With this change, in AP mode ~10Mbps increase is
observed in downlink (AP -> STA) traffic and approx. 5-10% of CPU
usage is reduced.
Major improvement is observed in 1-hop Mesh mode topology in 11ACVHT80.
Compared to Infra mode, CPU overhead is higher in Mesh mode due to path
lookup and no fast-xmit support. So reducing spin lock contention is
helping in Mesh.

Recent commit 46f6b06050 ("mac80211: Encrypt "Group addressed privacy" action
frames") encrypts group privacy action frames. But qca99x0 family chipset
delivers broadcast/multicast management frames as encrypted and it should be
decrypted by mac80211. Setting RX_FLAG_DECRYPTED stats for those frames is
breaking mesh connection establishment.

with the help of kptr_restrict sysctl.
In this patch, %p is changed to %pK in the driver code.

HW Rx filters and masks are not configured
properly by firmware during boot sequences. The
MAC_PCU_ADDR1 is set to 0s instead of 1s which
allows the HW to ACK any frame that passes through
MAC_PCU_RX_FILTER. The MAC_PCU_RX_FILTER itself
is misconfigured on boot as well.
The combination of these bugs ended up with the
following manifestations:
- "no channel configured; ignoring frame(s)!"
warnings in the driver
- spurious ACKs (transmission) on the air during
firmware bootup sequences
The former was a long standing and known bug
originally though mostly harmless.
However Marek recently discovered that this
problem also involves ACKing *all* frames the HW
receives (including beacons ;). Such frames
are delivered to host and generate the former
warning as well.
This could be a problem with regulatory compliance
in some rare cases (e.g. Taiwan which forbids
transmissions on channel 36 which is the default
bootup channel on 5Ghz band cards). The good news
is that it'd require someone else to violate
regulatory first to coerce our device to generate
and transmit an ACK.
The problem could be reproduced in a rather busy
environment that has a lot of APs. The likelihood
could be increased by injecting an msleep() of
5000 or longer immediately after
ath10k_htt_setup() in ath10k_core_start().
The reason why the former warnings were only
showing up seldom is because the device was either
quickly reset again (i.e. during firmware probing)
or wmi vdev was created (which fixes hw and fw
states).
It is technically possible for host driver to
override adequate hw registers however this can't
work reliably because the bug root cause lies in
incorrect firmware state on boot (internal
structure used to program MAC_PCU_ADDR1 is not
properly initialized) and only vdev create/delete
events can fix it. This is why the patch takes
dummy vdev approach.
This could be fixed in firmware as well but having
this fixed in driver is more robust, most notably
when thinking of users of older firmware such as
999.999.0.636.

The use of config_enabled() against config options is ambiguous. In
practical terms, config_enabled() is equivalent to IS_BUILTIN(), but the
author might have used it for the meaning of IS_ENABLED(). Using
IS_ENABLED(), IS_BUILTIN(), IS_MODULE() etc. makes the intention
clearer.
This commit replaces config_enabled() with IS_ENABLED() where possible.
This commit is only touching bool config options.
I noticed two cases where config_enabled() is used against a tristate
option:
- config_enabled(CONFIG_HWMON)
[ drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath10k/thermal.c ]
- config_enabled(CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE)
[ drivers/gpu/drm/gma500/opregion.c ]
I did not touch them because they should be converted to IS_BUILTIN()
in order to keep the logic, but I was not sure it was the authors'
intention.

Ideally wake_tx_queue should be used regardless as
it is a requirement for reducing bufferbloat and
implementing airtime fairness in the future.
However some setups (typically low-end platforms
hosting QCA988X) suffer performance regressions
with the current wake_tx_queue implementation.
Therefore disable it unless it is really
beneficial with current codebase (which is when
firmware supports smart pull-push tx scheduling).

As hw cycle counters in QCA4019 wraparound independantly in QCA4019
it is possible cycle counter and rx clear counter would wraparound
at the same time. Current logic assumes only one of the counters
would wraparound at anytime. Fix this by moving 'else' part to
another 'if'.

It is expected that all pktlog events for 10.4 firmware based solutions
should come through CE8 where as in case of 10.2 firmware based solutions,
it should come through one of the HTT events (HTT_T2H_MSG_TYPE_PKTLOG).
But from experiments with 10.4 based solutions, it is observed that pktlog
event for ATH_PKTLOG_TYPE_TX_MSDU_ID is coming through HTT pktlog event.
Currently, we always parse with 10.2 pktlog header which will lead to
pktlog decoding issues (payload length mismatch exceptions)
For trace points, it is required to provide only the payload size. So
fixing this by simplifying the payload size calculation without the use of
ath10k pktlog headers.
While there, remove the unused ath10k pktlog headers.

While debugging OS crashes due to firmware crashes, I enabled
kasan, and it noticed that peer objects were being used-after-freed.
Looks like there are two places we could be leaving stale references
in the peer-map, so clean that up.

cfg80211/nl80211 interface changes for per STA total rx-duration and
very basic 'ath10k_sta_statistics' mac80211 callback is implemented
to extend support for per station statistics from the driver.
Also provision in 'iw dev wlan#N station dump' to parse rx-duration
is supported. So its safer to remove the debugfs entry for per STA
rx-duration

10.4 'extended peer stats' will be not be appended with normal peer stats
data and they shall be coming in separate chunks. Fix this by maintaining
a separate linked list 'extender peer stats' for 10.4 and update
rx_duration for per station statistics. Also parse through beacon filter
(if enabled), to make sure we parse the extended peer stats properly.
This issue was exposed when more than one client is connected and
extended peer stats for 10.4 is enabled
The order for the stats is as below
S - standard peer stats, E- extended peer stats, B - beacon filter stats
{S1, S2, S3..} -> {B1, B2, B3..}(if available) -> {E1, E2, E3..}

Add the following to support beacon report radio measurement
with the measurement mode field set to passive or active:
1. Propagate the required scan duration to the device
2. Report the scan start time (in terms of TSF)
3. Report each BSS's detection time (also in terms of TSF)
TSF times refer to the BSS that the interface that requested the
scan is connected to.

The below warning message seems to hit occasionally with the following
combination (IPQ4019 + ACS scan) where we receive packets as a self peer
when hostapd does ACS when we bring up AP mode . ath10k has the below
fall back mechanism to fetch current operating channel in rx (it will
check for the next channel tracking variable if the current one is NULL)
[scan channel] --> [rx channel] --> [peer channel] -->
[vdev channel] --> [any vdev channel] --> [target oper channel]
'scan channel' and 'target operating channel' are directly fetched from
firmware events. All the others should be updated by mac80211.
During ACS scan we wouldn't have a valid channel context
assigned from mac80211 ('ar->rx_channel'), and also relying on
('ar->scan_channel') is not helpful (it becomes NULL when it goes to
BSS channel and also when the scan event is completed). In short we
cannot always rely on these two channel tracking variables.
'Target Operating Channel' (ar->tgt_oper_chan) seems to keep track of
the current operating even while we are doing ACS scan and etc. Hence
remove this un-necessary warning message and continue with
target_operating channel. At the worst case scenario when the target
operating channel is invalid (NULL) we already have an ath10k warning
message to notify we really don't have a proper channel configured in
rx to update the rx status("no channel configured; ignoring frame(s)!")

Usually when the firmware crashes we check for the value
'FW_IND_EVENT_PENDING' in 'FW_INDICATOR_ADDRESS' and proceed with
disabling the irq and dumping firmware 'crash dump'. Now
when the PCI card is unplugged from the device the PCI controller
seems to generate a spurious interrupt after some time which
was as treated a firmware crash and resulting in the below race
condition (and eventually crashing the system)
ath10k_core_unregister -> ath10k_core_free_board_files
...... device unplug spurious interrupt .........
ath10k_pci_taklet -> ath10k_pci_fw_crashed_dump ...etc
Clearly even after the firmware board files related data structure
is freed up we are getting a spurious interrupt from PCI with 0xfffffff
in the 'FW_INDICATOR_ADDRESS' resulting in scheduling of the pci tasklet
and doing a crash dump, printing f/w board related info resulting in the
below crash. Fix this by detecting this spurious interrupt in ath10k PCI
irq handler itself and return IRQ_NONE. Thanks to Michal Kazior for
helping us conclude the most appropriate fix.

commit 5c86d97bcc ("ath10k: combine txrx and replenish task")
introduced deadlock while processing rx in order indication message
for qca6174 based devices. While merging replenish and txrx tasklets,
replenish task should be called out of htt rx ring locking since it
is also try to acquire the same lock.
Unfortunately this issue is not exposed by other solutions (qca988x,
qca99x0 & qca4019), as rx_in_ord_ind message is specific to qca6174
based devices. This patch fixes

In QCA4019, cycle counter wraparound is not tied to rx
clear counter. Each counter would wraparound individually
and after wraparound the respective counter will be reset
to 0x7fffffff while other counter still running unaffected.
Define a new wraparound type for this behaviour and handle
it separately so that rx clear counter wraparound is also
handled just like cycle counter. With this type of
wraparound we can accurately compute and report channel
active/busy time when any of the counter overflows.

QCA988X hw implements a different cycle counter wraparound
behaviour when compared to QCA4019. To properly handle different
wraparound logic for these chipsets replace already available
bool hw_params member, has_shifted_cc_wraparound, with an
enum which could be extended to handle different wraparound
behaviour. This patch keeps the existing logic functionally
same and a prepares cycle counter wraparound handling to
extend for other chips.

CCK hardware table mapping from QCA99X0 onwards got revised.
The CCK hardware rate values are in a proper order wrt. to
rate and preamble as below

be true for any newchipsets from QCA99X0 onwards

Only five bits are defined to pass tid information in HTT_RX_IND
message, so the mask which can be used to extract tid should be 0x1f
instead of the current 0x3f. Also, macros which can be used to extract
flush_valid and release_valid bits have to be left shifted one bit less
because these information follow the tid right after. This patch does
not really fix anything functionally because these macros are not used
currently.

The QCA9887 stores its calibration data (board.bin) inside the EEPROM of
the target. This has to be downloaded manually to allow the device to
initialize correctly.

This feature flag will be used for firmware to support BT-Coex feature
without reloading firmware via WMI pdev param. To support Bluetooth
coexistence pdev param, WMI_COEX_GPIO_SUPPORT of extended resource
config should be enabled always. This firmware IE is used to configure
WMI_COEX_GPIO_SUPPORT.

Earlier when operating irq mode is legacy, interrupts are disabled
and re-enabled based on num_msi_intrs. commit cfe9011a05 ("ath10k:
remove MSI range support") replaced num_msi_intrs by oper_irq_mode.
Since oper_irq_mode is not initialized for ahb devices (i.e qca4019),
device boot up is failed during probe.

Fix invalid argument error while writing 'simulate_fw_crash',
though the funcionality is working fine we get an error 'invalid
argument' because 'count' value is not returned properly
(no reason to reduce the count value for removing the newline)

diag_read uses dma_alloc_coherent to allocate memory requested by the
caller. If this memory requested is larger, more than DIAG_TRANSFER_LIMIT
(2K), then it is likely that we may not get the requested memory and we
would fail.
To solve this, request dma_alloc_coherent for only DIAG_TRANSFER_LIMIT, and
reuse this buffer multiple times as needed to copy the data requested in
smaller chunks of size not more than DIAG_TRANSFER_LIMIT. Previously we
were reading into the caller's only after getting the complete requested
data.

Legacy rate packets may not necessarily be having a rx status
flag of '0' always, for example management frame have flags
like RX_FLAG_ONLY_MONITOR / RX_FLAG_MACTIME_END also set
Just check 'VHT' and 'HT' flags are not set , and simply clasify it as
legacy rate packets

WARN_ON_ONCE when we receive packets for self peer when mac80211
had not assigned a proper channel context. This scenario happens
in QCA4019 when we start the AP via hostapd in background and start
it once again in the background without killing the previous instance!
This happens intermittently when we start / stop hostapd in a while loop
(incase the hostapd is not properly killed). This results in mac80211
chancontext to be unassigned, while the self peer continuous receive
packets in target operating channel. This results in lot of call traces
in the rx path. Make this as a WARN_ON_ONCE to avoid flooding the console
which result in rebooting low memory systems, while still reporting the
warning once that we are receiving packets in target operating channel and
to indicate that something is happening which is not the expected result.

QCA9984 Rx descriptor has two 32-bit words of location information
when compared to one 32-bit word in QCA99X0. To handle this difference in
rx descriptor ppdu_end, define a new ppdu_end for QCA9984 descriptor
which has the new structure to represent rx_location_info.

Store pci chip secific reset funtions in struct ath10k_pci
as callbacks during early ath10k_pci_probe() and use the
callback to perform chip specific resets. This patch essentially
adds two callback in ath10k_pci, one for doing soft reset and
the other for hard reset. By using callbacks we can get rid of
those hw revision checks in ath10k_pci_safe_chip_reset() and
ath10k_pci_chip_reset(). As such this patch does not fix
any issue.

In QCA4019, cycle counter wraparound in same fashion
as QCA988X. When the cycle counter wraparound it
resets to 0x7fffffff. Set has_shifted_cc_wraparound to
true for QCA4019 to enable the code path to handle cycle
counter wraparound for consistent survey report.

In 10.4, fw sends WMI PEER_RATECODE_LIST_EVENTID after successful
peer_assoc cmd. As of now this event is not of much use and not
implemented. Change the debug level and messsage as appropriate
to suppress "Unknown eventid: 36898".

During hw scan, firmware sends two channel information events (pre-
complete, complete) to host for each channel change. The snap shot of cycle
counters (rx_clear and total) between these two events are given for
survey dump. In order to get latest survey statistics of all channels, a
scan request has to be issued. In general, an AP DUT is brought up, it
won't leave BSS channel except few cases like overlapping bss or radar
detection. So survey statistics of bss channel is always referring to
older data that are collected before starting AP (either ACS/OBSS scan).
To collect latest survey information from target, firmware provides WMI
interface to read cycle counters from hardware. For each survey dump
request, BSS channel cycle counters are read and cleared in hardware.
This makes sure that behavior is in align with ath9k survey report.
So survey dump always gives snap shot of cycle counters b/w two survey
requests.

It is observed that while loading and unloading ath10k modules
in an infinite loop, before ath10k_core_start() completion HTT
rx frames are received, while processing these frames,
dereferencing the arvifs list code is getting hit before
initilizing the arvifs list, causing a kernel panic.
This patch initilizes the arvifs list before initilizing htt.

According to the spec, VHT doesn't exist in 2.4GHz.
There are vendor extensions to allow a subset of VHT to work
(notably 256-QAM), but since mac80211 doesn't support those
advertising VHT capability on 2.4GHz leads to the behaviour
of reporting VHT capabilities but not being able to use any
of them due to mac80211's code requiring 80 MHz support.
Remove the VHT capabilities from 2.4GHz for now. If mac80211
gets extended to use the (likely Broadcom) vendor IEs for it
and handles the lack of 80 MHz support, it can be added back.

QCA6174 WLAN.RM.2.0 firmware uses max_tx_power instead of using max_reg_power
to set transmission power. The tx power was about -50dbm, after applying this
change, it become -32dbm.

To make it easier to share ath10k_core_fetch_board_data_api_n() with testmode.c
refactor all firmware components to struct ath10k_fw_components. This structure
will hold firmware related files, for example firmware-N.bin and board-N.bin.
For firmware-N.bin create a new struct ath10k_fw_file which contains the actual
firmware image as well as the parsed data from the image.
Modify ath10k_core_start() to take struct ath10k_fw_components() as an argument
which makes it possible in following patches to drop some ugly hacks from
testmode.c.

push-pull mode needs certain amount the host driver involvement for
managing queues in the host memory and packet delivery to firmware.
qca4019 wifi firmware has an option to stay in push mode for less
number of active traffic flow and then switch to push-pull mode when
the active traffic flow goes beyond the certain limit.
The advantage of staying in push mode for less active traffic is, the
host cpu consumption is reduced. qca4019 firmware supports this
flexibility of the mode switch. It takes the host driver interest
(LOW_PERF/HIGH_PERF) via WMI_EXT_RESOURCE_CFG_CMDID,
LOW_PERF - fw would stay in push mode and switch to push-pull
based on demand.
HIGH_PERF - fw would stay in push-pull mode from the boot.
To make this configuration generic, new WMI services
WMI_SERVICE_TX_MODE_PUSH_ONLY, WMI_SERVICE_TX_MODE_PUSH_PULL,

switch support availability in firmware.
Based on WMI_SERVICE_TX_MODE_DYNAMIC, LOW_PERF or HIGHT_PERF is
configured to the firmware.

Upon firmware assert, restart work will be triggered so that mac80211
will reconfigure the driver. An issue is reported that after restart
work, survey dump data do not contain in-use (SURVEY_INFO_IN_USE) info
for operating channel. During reconfigure, since mac80211 already has
valid channel context for given radio, channel context iteration return
num_chanctx > 0. Hence rx_channel is always NULL. Fix this by assigning
channel context to rx_channel when driver restart is in progress.

Return value is incorrect for btcoex and peer stats debugfs
'write' entries if the user provides a value that matches with
the already available debugfs entry, this results in the debugfs
entry getting stuck and the operation has to be terminated manually.
Fix this by returning the appropriate return 'count' as we do it for
other debugfs entries like pktlog etc.

MSI-X is never well-tested, might contain bugs and generally isn't
really all that useful to maintain. Also ath10k is mainly used with
shared/singly-MSI interrupt systems. Hence removing MSI range support.
This change will be useful for further cleanup in copy engine lock
and to add NAPI support.

This enum is already perfectly aliased to enum nl80211_band, and
the only reason for it is that we get IEEE80211_NUM_BANDS out of
it. There's no really good reason to not declare the number of
bands in nl80211 though, so do that and remove the cfg80211 one.

Decrement num_mpdus_ready only when rx amsdu is processed successfully.
Not doing so, will result in leak and impact stabilty under low memory
cases. Also commit 3128b3d8a2 ("ath10k: speedup htt rx descriptor

qca99x0 and qca4019 solutions limit probe responses transmissions.
Logging warning message for each probe response drop is flooding
kernel log unnecessary with " failed to increase tx mgmt pending
count: -16, dropping". Hence reducing log level to debug.

pre-calibration is meant for qca4019 which contains only caldata
whereas calibration file is used by ar9888 and qca99x0 that contains
both board data and caldata. So by definition both pre-cal-file and
cal-file can not coexist. Keeping them in shared memory (union), is
breaking boot sequence of qca99x0. Fix it by storing both binaries
in separate memories. This issue is reported in ipq8064 platform which
includes caldata in flash memory.

When HW crypto is used, there's no need for the CCMP/GCMP MIC to
be available to mac80211, and the hardware might have removed it
already after checking. The MIC is also useless to have when the
frame is already decrypted, so allow indicating that it's not
present.
Since we are running out of bits in mac80211_rx_flags, make
the flags field a u64.

Check and parse Rx MAC timestamp when firmware sets its flag
to status variable.
10.4 firmware adds it in Rx beacon frame only at this moment.
Drivers and mac80211 may utilize it to detect such clockdrift
or beacon collision and use the result for beacon collision
avoidance.

Since tx completion and rx indication processing are moved out
of txrx tasklet and rx ring lock contention also removed from txrx
for rx_ind messages, it would be efficient to combine both replenish
and txrx tasks. Refill threshold is adjusted for both AP135 and AP148
(low and high end systems). With this adjustment in AP135, TCP DL is
improved from 603 Mbps to 620 Mbps and UDP DL is improved from 758 Mbps
to 803 Mbps. Also no watchdog are observed on UDP BiDi.

Whenever htt rx indication i.e target to host messages are received
on rx copy engine (CE5), the message will be freed after processing
the response. Then CE 5 will be refilled with new descriptors at
post rx processing. This memory alloc and free operations can be avoided
by reusing the same descriptors.
During CE pipe allocation, full ring is not initialized i.e n-1 entries
are filled up. So for CE 5 full ring should be filled up to reuse
descriptors. Moreover CE 5 write index will be updated in single shot
instead of incremental access. This could avoid multiple pci_write and
ce_ring access. From experiments, It improves CPU usage by ~3% in IPQ4019
platform.

The physical address necessary to unmap DMA ('bufferp') is stored
in ath10k_skb_cb as 'paddr'. For diag register read and write
operations, 'paddr' is stored in transfer context. ath10k doesn't rely
on the meta/transfer_id. So the unused output arguments {bufferp, nbytesp
and transfer_idp} are removed from CE recv_next completion.

Except qca61x4 family chips (qca6164, qca6174), copy engine 5 is used
for receiving target to host htt messages. In follow up patch, CE5
descriptors will be reused. In such case, same API can not be used as
htc layer callback where the response messages will be freed at the end.
Hence register new API for HTC layer that free up received message and
keep the message handler common for both HTC and HIF layers.

In follow up patch, htt rx descriptors will be reused instead of
dealloc and refill. To achieve that htt rx indication messages
should not be deferred and should be processed in pci tasklet itself.
Also from rx indication message, mpdu_count alone is used. So it is
maintained as atomic variable and all rx amsdu handlers are done
processed from txrx tasklet. This change get rid of rx_compl_q usage.

Make amsdu handlers (i.e amsdu_pop and rx_h_handler) common to both
rx_ind and frag_ind htt events. It is sufficient to hold rx_ring lock
for amsdu_pop alone and no need to hold it until the packets are
delivered to mac80211. This helps to reduce rx_lock contention as well.

The fw descriptor was never used and probably never will be. It makes
little sense to maintain support for it. Remove it and simplify rx
processing. This will make it easier to optimize rx processing later
as well.

To optimize CPU usage htt rx descriptors will be reused instead of
refilling it for htt rx copy engine (CE5). To support that all htt rx
indications should be processed at same context. FIFO queue is used
to maintain tx completion status for each msdu. This helps to retain
the order of tx completion.

Add API support for Extended Resource Configuration for 10.4. This
is useful to enable new features like Peer Stats, LTEU etc if the
firmware advertises support for the service. This is also done to
provide backward compatibility with older firmware. Also for clarity
send default host platform type as 'WMI_HOST_PLATFORM_HIGH_PERF',
though this should not make any difference in functionality

Provide a debugfs entry to enable/ disable Peer Stats feature.
Peer Stats feature is for developers/users who are more interested
in studying in Rx/Tx stats with multiple clients connected, hence
disable this by default. Enabling this feature by default results
in unneccessary processing of Peer Stats event for every 500ms
and updating peer_stats list (allocating memory) and cleaning it up
ifexceeds the higher limit and this can be an unnecessary overhead
during long run stress testing.

qca4019 calibration data is stored in the host memory and it's mandatory
to download it even before reading board id and chip id from the target.
Also, there is a need to execute otp (download and run) twice, one after
cal data download and another one after board data download.
Existing cal data file name 'cal-<bus>-<id>.bin' and device tree entry
'qcom,ath10k-calibration-data' used in ath10k has assumption that it
carries other data (like board data) also along with the calibration data.
But, qca4019 cal data contains pure calibration data (doesn't include
any other info). So, using existing same cal file name and DT entry
in qca4019 case would alter the purpose of it. To avoid this, new cal
file name 'pre-cal-<bus>-<id>.bin' and new device tree entry name
'qcom,ath10k-pre-calibration-data are introduced.
Overall qca4019's firmware download sequence would look like,
1) Download cal data (either from a file or device tree entry)
at the address specified by target in the host interest area
member "hi_board_data".
2) Download otp and run with 0x10 (PARAM_GET_EEPROM_BOARD_ID)
as a argument.
At this point, otp will take back up of downloaded cal data
content in another location in the target and return valid
board id and chip id to the host.
3) Download board data at the address specified by target
in host interest area member "hi_board_data".
4) Download otp and run with 0x10000 (PARAM_FLASH_SECTION_ALL) as
a argument.
Now otp will apply cal data content from it's backup on top
of board data download in step 3 and prepare final data base.
5) Download code swap and athwlan binary content.
Above sequences are implemented (step 1 to step 4) in the name of
pre calibration configuration.

ath10k_download_cal_dt() compares obtained cal data content length
against QCA988X_CAL_DATA_LEN (2116 bytes). It was written by keeping
qca988x in mind. In fact, cal data length is more chip specific.
To make ath10k_download_cal_dt() more generic and reusable for other
chipsets (like qca4019), cal data length is moved to hw_params.
