The SROT registers are initialised by the secure firmware at boot. We
don't have write access to the registers. Check if the block is enabled
before continuing.

Registers have moved around across TSENS generations. For example, the
CTRL register was at offset 0x0 in the SROT region on msm8916 but is at
offset 0x4 in newer v2 based TSENS HW blocks.
Allow passing offsets of important registers so that we can continue to
use common functions.

The TSENS driver currently only uses a limited set of registers from the TM
address space. So it was ok to map just that set of registers and call it
"map".
We'd now like to map a second set: SROT registers to introduce new
functionality. Rename the "map" field to a more appropriate "tm_map".
The 8960 doesn't have a clear split between TM and SROT registers. To avoid
complicating the data structure, it will switchover to using tm_map for its
maps.
There is no functional change with this patch.

We've already converted over the devicetree of platforms using v2
version of the TSENS IP to use two address spaces. Now prepare to
convert over the 8916 and 8974 platforms to use separate SROT and TM
address spaces.
This patch will work with device trees with one or two address spaces
because we set the tm_offset in commit 5b1283984f ("thermal: tsens:
Add support to split up register address space into two").

A cooling map entry may now contain a list of phandles and their
arguments representing multiple devices which share the trip point.
This patch updates the thermal OF core to parse them properly. The trip
point and contribution value is shared by multiple cooling devices now
and so a new structure is created, struct __thermal_cooling_bind_param,
which represents a cooling device and its min/max states and the
existing struct __thermal_bind_params now contains an array of this new
cooling device structure.
Tested on Hikey960.

There are three thermal stages defined in the PMIC:
stage 1: warning
stage 2: system should shut down
stage 3: emergency shut down
By default the PMIC assumes that the OS isn't doing anything and thus
at stage 2 it does a partial PMIC shutdown and at stage 3 it kills
all power. When switching between thermal stages the PMIC generates an
interrupt which is handled by the driver. The partial PMIC shutdown at
stage 2 can be disabled by software, which allows the OS to initiate a
shutdown at stage 2 with a thermal zone configured accordingly.
If a critical trip point is configured in the thermal zone the driver
adjusts the stage 1-3 temperature thresholds to (closely) match the
critical temperature with a stage 2 threshold (125/130/135/140 °C).
If a suitable match is found the partial shutdown at stage 2 is
disabled. If for some reason the system doesn't shutdown at stage 2
the emergency shutdown at stage 3 kicks in.
The partial shutdown at stage 2 remains enabled in these cases:
- no critical trip point defined
- the temperature of the critical trip point is < 125°C
- the temperature of the critical trip point is > 140°C and no
ADC channel is configured (thus the OS is not notified when the critical
temperature is reached)

The current example for a thermal zone isn't very useful as reference
since it would result in a hardware shutdown at 145°C, instead of
allowing the system to try to shutdown gracefully. Without an ADC
channel a maximum of two trip points is useful in practice for this
sensor, with temperatures corresponding to the stage 1 and stage 2
'hardware trip points'. A critical trip point at stage 2 may allow the
system to shutdown before a hardware shutdown at stage 3 kicks in. It
should be noted though that by default the chip performs a 'partial
shutdown' when the temperature reaches stage 2, which may prevent an
orderly shutdown. The 'partial shutdown' can be disabled by software.

This function was created as a deprecated fallback case back in 2010 by
commit eb14120f74 ("pcmcia: re-work pcmcia_request_irq()") for legacy
cases.
Actual in-kernel users haven't been around for a long while. The last
in-kernel user was apparently removed four years ago by commit
5f5316fcd0 ("am2150: Update nmclan_cs.c to use update PCMCIA API").
Just remove it entirely.

They are not useful. They annoy everybody, and nobody ever does
anything about them, because it's always "somebody elses problem". And
when people start thinking that warnings are normal, they stop looking
at them, and the real warnings that mean something go unnoticed.
If you want to get rid of a function, just get rid of it. Convert every
user to the new world order.
And if you can't do that, then don't annoy everybody else with your
marking that says "I couldn't be bothered to fix this, so I'll just spam
everybody elses build logs with warnings about my laziness".
Make a kernelnewbies wiki page about things that could be cleaned up,
write a blog post about it, or talk to people on the mailing lists. But
don't add warnings to the kernel build about cleanup that you think
should happen but you aren't doing yourself.

Nothing huge here, just a number of small cleanups and the ability to
now stop the deferred probing after init happens.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with only a merge issue
reported. That merge issue is in fs/sysfs/group.c and Stephen has
posted the diff of what it should be to resolve this. I'll follow up
with that diff to this pull request.

There is a lot here, much more than normal, seems like everyone is
writing new driver subsystems these days... Anyway, major things here
are:
- new FSI driver subsystem, yet-another-powerpc low-level
hardware bus
- gnss, finally an in-kernel GPS subsystem to try to tame all of
the crazy out-of-tree drivers that have been floating around
for years, combined with some really hacky userspace
implementations. This is only for GNSS receivers, but you
have to start somewhere, and this is great to see.
Other than that, there are new slimbus drivers, new coresight drivers,
new fpga drivers, and loads of DT bindings for all of these and existing
drivers.

Here are the big staging/iio patches for 4.19-rc1.
Lots of churn here, with tons of cleanups happening in staging drivers,
a removal of an old crypto driver that no one was using (skein), and the
addition of some new IIO drivers. Also added was a "gasket" driver from
Google that needs loads of work and the erofs filesystem.
Even with adding all of the new drivers and a new filesystem, we are
only adding about 1000 lines overall to the kernel linecount, which
shows just how much cleanup happened, and how big the unused crypto
driver was.
All of these have been in the linux-next tree for a while now with no
reported issues.
Note, you will have a merge problem with a device tree IIO file and the
MAINTAINERS file, both resolutions are easy, just take all changed.
There will be a skein file merge issue as well, but that file got
deleted so just drop that.

When perf profiling a wide variety of different workloads, it was found
that vmacache_find() had higher than expected cost: up to 0.08% of cpu
utilization in some cases. This was found to rival other core VM
functions such as alloc_pages_vma() with thp enabled and default
mempolicy, and the conditionals in __get_vma_policy().
VMACACHE_HASH() determines which of the four per-task_struct slots a vma
is cached for a particular address. This currently depends on the pfn,
so pfn 5212 occupies a different vmacache slot than its neighboring pfn
5213.
vmacache_find() iterates through all four of current's vmacache slots
when looking up an address. Hashing based on pfn, an address has
~1/VMACACHE_SIZE chance of being cached in the first vmacache slot, or
about 25%, *if* the vma is cached.
This patch hashes an address by its pmd instead of pte to optimize for
workloads with good spatial locality. This results in a higher
probability of vmas being cached in the first slot that is checked:
normally ~70% on the same workloads instead of 25%.

Provide list_lru_shrink_walk_irq() and let it behave like
list_lru_walk_one() except that it locks the spinlock with
spin_lock_irq(). This is used by scan_shadow_nodes() because its lock
nests within the i_pages lock which is acquired with IRQ. This change
allows to use proper locking promitives instead hand crafted
lock_irq_disable() plus spin_lock().
There is no EXPORT_SYMBOL provided because the current user is in-kernel
only.
Add list_lru_shrink_walk_irq() which acquires the spinlock with the
proper locking primitives.
