This patch subscribes RPC clients to RPC pipefs notifications. RPC clients
notifier block is registering with pipefs initialization during SUNRPC module
init.
This notifier callback is responsible for RPC client PipeFS directory and GSS
pipes creation. For pipes creation and destruction two additional callbacks
were added to struct rpc_authops.
Note that no locking required in notifier callback because PipeFS superblock
pointer is passed as an argument from it's creation or destruction routine and
thus we can be sure about it's validity.

This patch moves static SUNRPC clients list and it's lock to sunrpc_net
structure.
Currently this list is used only for debug purposes. But later it will be used
also for selecting clients by networks namespace on PipeFS mount/umount events.
Per-network namespace lists will make this faster and simplier.
Note: client list is taken from "init_net" network namespace context in
rpc_show_tasks(). This will be changed some day later with making SUNRPC
sysctl's per network namespace context.

v2:
1) "Over-put" of PipeFS mount point fixed. Fix is ugly, but allows to bisect
the patch set. And it will be removed later in the series.
This patch makes RPC clients PipeFs dentries allocations in it's owner network
namespace context.
RPC client pipefs dentries creation logic has been changed:
1) Pipefs dentries creation by sb was moved to separated function, which will
be used for handling PipeFS mount notification.
2) Initial value of RPC client PipeFS dir dentry is set no NULL now.
RPC client pipefs dentries cleanup logic has been changed:
1) Cleanup is done now in separated rpc_remove_pipedir() function, which takes
care about pipefs superblock locking.
Also this patch removes slashes from cb_program.pipe_dir_name and from
NFS_PIPE_DIRNAME to make rpc_d_lookup_sb() work. This doesn't affect
vfs_path_lookup() results in nfs4blocklayout_init() since this slash is cutted
off anyway in link_path_walk().

This patch is a final step towards to removing PipeFS inode references from
kernel code other than PipeFS itself. It makes all kernel SUNRPC PipeFS users
depends on pipe private data, which state depend on their specific operations,
etc.
This patch completes SUNRPC PipeFS preparations and allows to create pipe
private data and PipeFS dentries independently.
Next step will be making SUNPRC PipeFS dentries allocated by SUNRPC PipeFS
network namespace aware routines.

Currenly, inode i_lock is used to provide concurrent access to SUNPRC PipeFS

these places and thus can be easely replaced, which will allow to remove most
of inode references from PipeFS code. This is a first step towards to removing

During per-net pipes creation and destruction we have to make sure, that pipefs
sb exists for the whole creation/destruction cycle. This is done by using
special mutex which controls pipefs sb reference on network namespace context.
Helper consists of two parts: first of them (rpc_get_dentry_net) searches for
dentry with specified name and returns with mutex taken on success. When pipe
creation or destructions is completed, caller should release this mutex by
rpc_put_dentry_net call.

We have modules (like, pNFS blocklayout module) which creates pipes on
rpc_pipefs. Thus we need per-net operations for them. To make it possible we
require appropriate super block. So we have to put sb link on network namespace
context. Note, that it's not strongly required to create pipes in per-net
operations. IOW, if pipefs wasn't mounted yet, that no sb link reference will
present on network namespace and in this case we need just need to pass through
pipe creation. Pipe dentry will be created during pipefs mount notification.

In all places, where pipefs dentries are created, only directory inode is
actually required to create new dentry. And all this directories has root
pipefs dentry as their parent. So we actually don't need this pipefs mount
point at all if some pipefs lookup method will be provided.
IOW, all we really need is just superblock and simple lookup method to find
root's child dentry with appropriate name. And this patch introduces this
method.
Note, that no locking implemented in rpc_d_lookup_sb(). So it can be used only
in case of assurance, that pipefs superblock still exist. IOW, we can use this
method only in pipefs mount-umount notification subscribers callbacks.

The pool_to and to_pool fields of the global svc_pool_map are freed on
shutdown, but are initialized in nfsd startup only in the
SVC_POOL_PERCPU and SVC_POOL_PERNODE cases.
They *are* initialized to zero on kernel startup. So as long as you use
only SVC_POOL_GLOBAL (the default), this will never be a problem.
You're also OK if you only ever use SVC_POOL_PERCPU or SVC_POOL_PERNODE.
However, the following sequence events leads to a double-free:
1. set SVC_POOL_PERCPU or SVC_POOL_PERNODE
2. start nfsd: both fields are initialized.
3. shutdown nfsd: both fields are freed.
4. set SVC_POOL_GLOBAL
5. start nfsd: the fields are left untouched.
6. shutdown nfsd: now we try to free them again.
Step 4 is actually unnecessary, since (for some bizarre reason), nfsd
automatically resets the pool mode to SVC_POOL_GLOBAL on shutdown.

xdr length to the (cached) acl page data.

Socket callbacks use svc_xprt_enqueue() to add an xprt to a
pool->sp_sockets list. In normal operation a server thread will later
come along and take the xprt off that list. On shutdown, after all the
threads have exited, we instead manually walk the sv_tempsocks and
sv_permsocks lists to find all the xprt's and delete them.
So the sp_sockets lists don't really matter any more. As a result,
we've mostly just ignored them and hoped they would go away.
Which has gotten us into trouble; witness for example ebc63e531c
"svcrpc: fix list-corrupting race on nfsd shutdown", the result of Ben
Greear noticing that a still-running svc_xprt_enqueue() could re-add an
xprt to an sp_sockets list just before it was deleted. The fix was to
remove it from the list at the end of svc_delete_xprt(). But that only
made corruption less likely--I can see nothing that prevents a
svc_xprt_enqueue() from adding another xprt to the list at the same
moment that we're removing this xprt from the list. In fact, despite
the earlier xpo_detach(), I don't even see what guarantees that
svc_xprt_enqueue() couldn't still be running on this xprt.
So, instead, note that svc_xprt_enqueue() essentially does:
lock sp_lock
if XPT_BUSY unset
add to sp_sockets
unlock sp_lock
So, if we do:
set XPT_BUSY on every xprt.
Empty every sp_sockets list, under the sp_socks locks.
Then we're left knowing that the sp_sockets lists are all empty and will
stay that way, since any svc_xprt_enqueue() will check XPT_BUSY under
the sp_lock and see it set.
And *then* we can continue deleting the xprt's.

New function ("svc_uses_rpcbind") will be used to detect, that new service will
send portmapper register calls. For such services we will create rpcbind
clients and remove all stale portmap registrations.
Also, svc_rpcb_cleanup() will be set as sv_shutdown callback for such services
in case of this field wasn't initialized earlier. This will allow to destroy
rpcbind clients when no other users of them left.
Note: Currently, any creating service will be detected as portmap user.
Probably, this is wrong. But now it depends on program versions "vs_hidden"

The sunrpc layer keeps a cache of recently used credentials and
'unx_match' is used to find the credential which matches the current
process.
However unx_match allows a match when the cached credential has extra
groups at the end of uc_gids list which are not in the process group list.
So if a process with a list of (say) 4 group accesses a file and gains
access because of the last group in the list, then another process
with the same uid and gid, and a gid list being the first tree of the
gids of the original process tries to access the file, it will be
granted access even though it shouldn't as the wrong rpc credential
will be used.

TI-RPC introduces the capability of performing RPC over AF_LOCAL
sockets. It uses this mainly for registering and unregistering
local RPC services securely with the local rpcbind, but we could
also conceivably use it as a generic upcall mechanism.
This patch provides a client-side only implementation for the moment.
We might also consider a server-side implementation to provide
AF_LOCAL access to NLM (for statd downcalls, and such like).
Autobinding is not supported on kernel AF_LOCAL transports at this
time. Kernel ULPs must specify the pathname of the remote endpoint
when an AF_LOCAL transport is created. rpcbind supports registering
services available via AF_LOCAL, so the kernel could handle it with
some adjustment to ->rpcbind and ->set_port. But we don't need this
feature for doing upcalls via well-known named sockets.
This has not been tested with ULPs that move a substantial amount of
data. Thus, I can't attest to how robust the write_space and
congestion management logic is.

As libtirpc does in user space, have our registration API try using an
AF_LOCAL transport first when registering and unregistering.
This means we don't chew up privileged ports, and our registration is
bound to an "owner" (the effective uid of the process on the sending
end of the transport). Only that "owner" may unregister the service.
The kernel could probe rpcbind via an rpcbind query to determine
whether rpcbind has an AF_LOCAL service. For simplicity, we use the
same technique that libtirpc uses: simply fail over to network
loopback if creating an AF_LOCAL transport to the well-known rpcbind
service socket fails.
This means we open-code the pathname of the rpcbind socket in the
kernel. For now we have to do that anyway because the kernel's
RPC over AF_LOCAL implementation does not support autobind. That may
be undesirable in the long term.

The RDMA CM currently infers the QP type from the port space selected
by the user. In the future (eg with RDMA_PS_IB or XRC), there may not
be a 1-1 correspondence between port space and QP type. For netlink
export of RDMA CM state, we want to export the QP type to userspace,
so it is cleaner to explicitly associate a QP type to an ID.
Modify rdma_create_id() to allow the user to specify the QP type, and
use it to make our selections of datagram versus connected mode.

On occasion, it is useful for the NFS layer to distinguish between
soft timeouts and other EIO errors due to (say) encoding errors,
or authentication errors.
The following patch ensures that the default behaviour of the RPC
layer remains to return EIO on soft timeouts (until we have
audited all the callers).

Allow the NFSv4 server to make use of TCP autotuning behaviour, which
was previously disabled by setting the sk_userlocks variable.
Set the receive buffers to be big enough to receive the whole RPC
request, and set this for the listening socket, not the accept socket.
Remove the code that readjusts the receive/send buffer sizes for the
accepted socket. Previously this code was used to influence the TCP
window management behaviour, which is no longer needed when autotuning
is enabled.
This can improve IO bandwidth on networks with high bandwidth-delay
products, where a large tcp window is required. It also simplifies
performance tuning, since getting adequate tcp buffers previously
required increasing the number of nfsd threads.

When the rpc_memreg_strategy is 5, FRMR are used to map RPC data.
This mode uses an FRMR to map the RPC data, then invalidates
(i.e. unregisers) the data in xprt_rdma_free. These FRMR are used
across connections on the same mount, i.e. if the connection goes
away on an idle timeout and reconnects later, the FRMR are not
destroyed and recreated.
This creates a problem for transport errors because the WR that
invalidate an FRMR may be flushed (i.e. fail) leaving the
FRMR valid. When the FRMR is later used to map an RPC it will fail,
tearing down the transport and starting over. Over time, more and
more of the FRMR pool end up in the wrong state resulting in
seemingly random disconnects.
This fix keeps track of the FRMR state explicitly by setting it's
state based on the successful completion of a reg/inv WR. If the FRMR
is ever used and found to be in the wrong state, an invalidate WR
is prepended, re-syncing the FRMR state and avoiding the connection loss.

The RPCRDMA marshalling logic assumed that xdr->page_base was an
offset into the first page of xdr->page_list. It is in fact an
offset into the xdr->page_list itself, that is, it selects the
first page in the page_list and the offset into that page.
The symptom depended in part on the rpc_memreg_strategy, if it was
FRMR, or some other one-shot mapping mode, the connection would get
torn down on a base and bounds error. When the badly marshalled RPC
was retransmitted it would reconnect, get the error, and tear down the
connection again in a loop forever. This resulted in a hung-mount. For
the other modes, it would result in silent data corruption. This bug is
most easily reproduced by writing more data than the filesystem
has space for.
This fix corrects the page_base assumption and otherwise simplifies
the iov mapping logic.

Although they run as rpciod background tasks, under normal operation
(i.e. no SIGKILL), functions like nfs_sillyrename(), nfs4_proc_unlck()
and nfs4_do_close() want to be fully synchronous. This means that when we
exit, we want all references to the rpc_task to be gone, and we want
any dentry references etc. held by that task to be released.
For this reason these functions call __rpc_wait_for_completion_task(),
followed by rpc_put_task() in the expectation that the latter will be
releasing the last reference to the rpc_task, and thus ensuring that the
callback_ops->rpc_release() has been called synchronously.
This patch fixes a race which exists due to the fact that
rpciod calls rpc_complete_task() (in order to wake up the callers of
__rpc_wait_for_completion_task()) and then subsequently calls
rpc_put_task() without ensuring that these two steps are done atomically.
In order to avoid adding new spin locks, the patch uses the existing
waitqueue spin lock to order the rpc_task reference count releases between
the waiting process and rpciod.
The common case where nobody is waiting for completion is optimised for by
checking if the RPC_TASK_ASYNC flag is cleared and/or if the rpc_task
reference count is 1: in those cases we drop trying to grab the spin lock,
and immediately free up the rpc_task.
Those few processes that need to put the rpc_task from inside an
asynchronous context and that do not care about ordering are given a new
helper: rpc_put_task_async().

Multiple backchannels can share the same tcp connection; from rfc 5661 section
2.10.3.1:
A connection's association with a session is not exclusive. A
connection associated with the channel(s) of one session may be
simultaneously associated with the channel(s) of other sessions
including sessions associated with other client IDs.
However, multiple backchannels share a connection, they must all share
the same xid stream (hence the same rpc_xprt); the only way we have to
match replies with calls at the rpc layer is using the xid.
So, keep the rpc_xprt around as long as the connection lasts, in case
we're asked to use the connection as a backchannel again.
Requests to create new backchannel clients over a given server
connection should results in creating new clients that reuse the
existing rpc_xprt.
But to start, just reject attempts to associate multiple rpc_xprt's with
the same underlying bc_xprt.

Fixed up trivial conflict in drivers/media/video/bt8xx/bttv-input.c
as per Tejun.
Reduce some branches and memory accesses in dcache lookup by adding dentry
flags to indicate common d_ops are set, rather than having to check them.
This saves a pointer memory access (dentry->d_op) in common path lookup
situations, and saves another pointer load and branch in cases where we
have d_op but not the particular operation.
Patched with:
git grep -E '[.>]([[:space:]])*d_op([[:space:]])*=' | xargs sed -e 's/\([^\t ]*\)->d_op = \(.*\);/d_set_d_op(\1, \2);/' -e 's/\([^\t ]*\)\.d_op = \(.*\);/d_set_d_op(\&\1, \2);/' -i

RCU free the struct inode. This will allow:
- Subsequent store-free path walking patch. The inode must be consulted for
permissions when walking, so an RCU inode reference is a must.
- sb_inode_list_lock to be moved inside i_lock because sb list walkers who want
to take i_lock no longer need to take sb_inode_list_lock to walk the list in
the first place. This will simplify and optimize locking.
- Could remove some nested trylock loops in dcache code
- Could potentially simplify things a bit in VM land. Do not need to take the
page lock to follow page->mapping.
The downsides of this is the performance cost of using RCU. In a simple
creat/unlink microbenchmark, performance drops by about 10% due to inability to
reuse cache-hot slab objects. As iterations increase and RCU freeing starts
kicking over, this increases to about 20%.
In cases where inode lifetimes are longer (ie. many inodes may be allocated
during the average life span of a single inode), a lot of this cache reuse is
not applicable, so the regression caused by this patch is smaller.
The cache-hot regression could largely be avoided by using SLAB_DESTROY_BY_RCU,
however this adds some complexity to list walking and store-free path walking,
so I prefer to implement this at a later date, if it is shown to be a win in
real situations. I haven't found a regression in any non-micro benchmark so I
doubt it will be a problem.

Change d_delete from a dentry deletion notification to a dentry caching
advise, more like ->drop_inode. Require it to be constant and idempotent,
and not take d_lock. This is how all existing filesystems use the callback
anyway.
This makes fine grained dentry locking of dput and dentry lru scanning
much simpler.

The sessions based callback service is started prior to the CREATE_SESSION call
so that it can handle CB_NULL requests which can be sent before the
CREATE_SESSION call returns and the session ID is known.
Set the callback sessionid after a sucessful CREATE_SESSION.

Move the current sock create and destroy routines into the new transport ops.
Back channel socket will be destroyed by the svc_closs_all call in svc_destroy.
Added check: only TCP supported on shared back channel.

The NFSv4.1 shared back channel does not need to call svc_drop because the
callback service never outlives the single connection it services, and it
reuses it's buffers and keeps the trasport.

Supposes cache_check runs simultaneously with an update on a different
CPU:
cache_check task doing update
^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
1. test for CACHE_VALID 1'. set entry->data
& !CACHE_NEGATIVE
2. use entry->data 2'. set CACHE_VALID
If the two memory writes performed in step 1' and 2' appear misordered
with respect to the reads in step 1 and 2, then the caller could get
stale data at step 2 even though it saw CACHE_VALID set on the cache
entry.
Add memory barriers to prevent this.

We attempt to turn a cache entry negative in place. But that entry may
already have been filled in by some other task since we last checked
whether it was valid, so we could be modifying an already-valid entry.
If nothing else there's a likely leak in such a case when the entry is
eventually put() and contents are not freed because it has
CACHE_NEGATIVE set.
So, take the cache_lock just as sunrpc_cache_update() does.

Currently we use -EAGAIN returns to determine when to drop a deferred
request. On its own, that is error-prone, as it makes us treat -EAGAIN
returns from other functions specially to prevent inadvertent dropping.
So, use a flag on the request instead.
Returning an error on request deferral is still required, to prevent
further processing, but we no longer need worry that an error return on
its own could result in a drop.

Commit d29068c431 "sunrpc: Simplify cache_defer_req and related
functions." asserted that cache_check() could determine success or
failure of cache_defer_req() by checking the CACHE_PENDING bit.
This isn't quite right.
We need to know whether cache_defer_req() created a deferred request,
in which case sending an rpc reply has become the responsibility of the
deferred request, and it is important that we not send our own reply,
resulting in two different replies to the same request.
And the CACHE_PENDING bit doesn't tell us that; we could have
succesfully created a deferred request at the same time as another
thread cleared the CACHE_PENDING bit.
So, partially revert that commit, to ensure that cache_check() returns
-EAGAIN if and only if a deferred request has been created.

Once a sunrpc cache entry is VALID, we should be replacing it (and
allowing any concurrent users to destroy it on last put) instead of
trying to update it in place.
Otherwise someone referencing the ip_map we're modifying here could try
to use the m_client just as we're putting the last reference.
The bug should only be seen by users of the legacy nfsd interfaces.
(Thanks to Neil for suggestion to use sunrpc_invalidate.)
