Fix this by making the branch to the backoff spin loop

This patch fixes machine crashes which occur when heavily exercising the
CPU hotplug codepaths on a 32-bit kernel. These crashes are caused by
AMD Erratum 383 and result in a fatal machine check exception. Here's
the scenario:
1. On 32-bit, the swapper_pg_dir page table is used as the initial page
table for booting a secondary CPU.
2. To make this work, swapper_pg_dir needs a direct mapping of physical
memory in it (the low mappings). By adding those low, large page (2M)
mappings (PAE kernel), we create the necessary conditions for Erratum
383 to occur.
3. Other CPUs which do not participate in the off- and onlining game may
use swapper_pg_dir while the low mappings are present (when leave_mm is
called). For all steps below, the CPU referred to is a CPU that is using
swapper_pg_dir, and not the CPU which is being onlined.
4. The presence of the low mappings in swapper_pg_dir can result
in TLB entries for addresses below __PAGE_OFFSET to be established
speculatively. These TLB entries are marked global and large.
5. When the CPU with such TLB entry switches to another page table, this
TLB entry remains because it is global.
6. The process then generates an access to an address covered by the
above TLB entry but there is a permission mismatch - the TLB entry
covers a large global page not accessible to userspace.
7. Due to this permission mismatch a new 4kb, user TLB entry gets
established. Further, Erratum 383 provides for a small window of time
where both TLB entries are present. This results in an uncorrectable
machine check exception signalling a TLB multimatch which panics the
machine.
There are two ways to fix this issue:
1. Always do a global TLB flush when a new cr3 is loaded and the
old page table was swapper_pg_dir. I consider this a hack hard
to understand and with performance implications
2. Do not use swapper_pg_dir to boot secondary CPUs like 64-bit
does.
This patch implements solution 2. It introduces a trampoline_pg_dir
which has the same layout as swapper_pg_dir with low_mappings. This page
table is used as the initial page table of the booting CPU. Later in the
bringup process, it switches to swapper_pg_dir and does a global TLB
flush. This fixes the crashes in our test cases.
-v2: switch to swapper_pg_dir right after entering start_secondary() so
that we are able to access percpu data which might not be mapped in the
trampoline page table.

Basically tip-off the powerpc code, use a 64-bit type and atomic64_t
interfaces for the implementation.
This gets us off of the by-hand asm code I wrote, which frankly I
think probably ruins I-cache hit rates.
The idea was the keep the call chains less deep, but anything taking
the rw-semaphores probably is also calling other stuff and therefore
already has allocated a stack-frame. So no real stack frame savings
ever.
Ben H. has posted patches to make powerpc use 64-bit too and with some
abstractions we can probably use a shared header file somewhere.

Make do_execve() take a const filename pointer so that kernel_execve() compiles
correctly on ARM:
arch/arm/kernel/sys_arm.c:88: warning: passing argument 1 of 'do_execve' discards qualifiers from pointer target type
This also requires the argv and envp arguments to be consted twice, once for
the pointer array and once for the strings the array points to. This is
because do_execve() passes a pointer to the filename (now const) to
copy_strings_kernel(). A simpler alternative would be to cast the filename
pointer in do_execve() when it's passed to copy_strings_kernel().
do_execve() may not change any of the strings it is passed as part of the argv
or envp lists as they are some of them in .rodata, so marking these strings as
const should be fine.
Further kernel_execve() and sys_execve() need to be changed to match.

If a video head and keyboard are hooked up, specifying "console=ttyS0"
or similar to use a serial console will not work properly.
The key issue is that we must register all serial console capable
devices with register_console(), otherwise the command line specified
device won't be found. The sun serial drivers would only register
themselves as console devices if the OpenFirmware specified console
device node matched. To fix this part we now unconditionally get
the serial console register by setting serial_drv->cons always.
Secondarily we must not add_preferred_console() using the firmware
provided console setting if the user gaven an override on the kernel
command line using "console=" The "primary framebuffer" matching
logic was always triggering o n openfirmware device node match, make
it not when a command line override was given.

Commit 5a5f561 (convert OMAP3 PRCM macros to the _SHIFT/_MASK suffixes)
mistakenly removed the check for PER when disabling the IO chain.
During idle, if the PER powerdomain transitions into a lower state
and CORE does not, the IO pad wakeups are not being disabled in
the idle path after they are enabled. This can happen with the
lower C-states when using CPUidle for example.
This patch ensures that the check for disabling IO wakeups also checks
for PER transitions, matching the check done to enable IO wakeups.
Found when debugging PM/CPUidle related problems reported by Ameya
Palande <ameya.palande@nokia.com>. Problems were triggered
particularily on boards with UART2 consoles (n900, Overo) since UART2
is in the PER powerdomain.
Tested on l-o master (omap3_defonfig + CONFIG_CPU_IDLE=y) as well
as with current PM branch. Boards tested: n900, Overo, omap3evm.

Tested with an EABI 2.6.35 kernel and Ulrich Drepper's original

Mark arguments to certain system calls as being const where they should be but
aren't. The list includes:
(*) The filename arguments of various stat syscalls, execve(), various utimes
syscalls and some mount syscalls.
(*) The filename arguments of some syscall helpers relating to the above.
(*) The buffer argument of various write syscalls.

These have been broken (returning "int") since the dawn of
time. But there were no users that needed the whole value
until commit
424acaaeb3
rwsem: wake queued readers when writer blocks on active read lock
made this change:
- (rwsem_atomic_update(0, sem) & RWSEM_ACTIVE_MASK))
- /* Someone grabbed the sem already */
+ rwsem_atomic_update(0, sem) < RWSEM_WAITING_BIAS)
+ /* Someone grabbed the sem for write already */
RWSEM_ACTIVE_MASK is 0xffffffffL, so the old code only looked
at the low order 32-bits. The new code needs to see all 64 bits.

Until now, the tile architecture ABI for syscall return has just been
that r0 holds the return value, and an error is only signalled like it is
for kernel code, with a negative small number.
However, this means that in multiple places in userspace we end up writing
the same three-cycle idiom that tests for a small negative number for
error. It seems cleaner to instead move that code into the kernel, and
set r1 to hold zero on success or errno on failure; previously, r1 was
just zeroed on return from the kernel (to avoid leaking kernel state).
This way a single conditional branch after the syscall is sufficient
to test for the failure case. The number of cycles taken is the same,
but the error-checking code is in just one place, so total code size is
smaller, and random userspace syscall code is easier to understand.

It's wrong for several reasons, but the most direct one is that the
fault may be for the stack accesses to set up a previous SIGBUS. When
we have a kernel exception, the kernel exception handler does all the
fixups, not some user-level signal handler.
Even apart from the nested SIGBUS issue, it's also wrong to give out
kernel fault addresses in the signal handler info block, or to send a
SIGBUS when a system call already returns EFAULT.

This change rolls up random cleanups not representing any actual bugs.
- Remove a stale CONFIG_ value from the default tile_defconfig
- Remove unused tns_atomic_xxx() family of methods from <asm/atomic.h>
- Optimize get_order() using Tile's "clz" instruction
- Fix a bad hypervisor upcall name (not currently used in Linux anyway)
- Use __copy_in_user_inatomic() name for consistency, and export it
- Export some additional hypervisor driver I/O upcalls and some homecache calls
- Remove the obfuscating MEMCPY_TEST_WH64 support code
- Other stray comment cleanups, #if 0 removal, etc.

First, the siginfo preamble wasn't quite right; we need to indicate
that we are padding up to 4 ints of preamble for 64-bit code, and
then for compat mode we need to pad differently, using only 3 ints.
Second, the C ABI requires a save area of two registers, not two
pointers, since in compat mode we have 64-bit registers all of which
we need to save, even though we only have 32-bit VAs.

We were using the same 5-sec minsec for the clocksource and sched_clock
that we were using for the clock_event_device. For the clock_event_device
that's exactly right since it has a short maximum countdown time.
But for sched_clock we want to avoid wraparound when converting from
ticks to nsec over a much longer window, so we force a shift of 10.
And for clocksource it seems dodgy to use a 5-sec minsec as well, so we
copy some other platforms and force a shift of 22.

To keep panic_timeout accuracy when running under a hypervisor, the
current implementation only spins on long time (1 second) calls to mdelay.
That brings a good effect, but the problem is the keyboard LEDs don't
blink at all on that situation.
This patch changes to call to panic_blink_enter() between every mdelay and
keeps blinking in spite of long spin timer mode.
The time to call to mdelay is now 100ms. Even this change will keep
panic_timeout accuracy enough when running under a hypervisor.

Architectures implement dma_is_consistent() in different ways (some
misinterpret the definition of API in DMA-API.txt). So it hasn't been so
useful for drivers. We have only one user of the API in tree. Unlikely
out-of-tree drivers use the API.
Even if we fix dma_is_consistent() in some architectures, it doesn't look
useful at all. It was invented long ago for some old systems that can't
allocate coherent memory at all. It's better to export only APIs that are
definitely necessary for drivers.
Let's remove this API.

dma_get_cache_alignment returns the minimum DMA alignment. Architectures
defines it as ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN (formally ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN). So we
can unify dma_get_cache_alignment implementations.

dma_get_cache_alignment() should return the minimum DMA alignment. So
fully-coherent architectures should return 1. This patch also fixes this

Now each architecture has the own dma_get_cache_alignment implementation.
dma_get_cache_alignment returns the minimum DMA alignment. Architectures

This patch:
dma_get_cache_alignment() needs to know if an architecture defines
ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN or not (needs to know if architecture has DMA
alignment restriction). However, slab.h define ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN if
architectures doesn't define it.
Let's rename ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN.

Update the variant and window variant structures with the necessary
changes to support the older style of hardware where these are not in the
same place.
Add the support for the s3c2443/s3c2416 hardware by using the
platform-device s3c2443 to cover both, and add the initialisation data for
these.
Also change to including just the v4 header files for the moment until the
last of the merging of these is sorted out.

Remove the various header files that configure this driver and use the
platform device name to select the correct configuration at probe time.
Currently this does not remove the header files, only updates the driver
and the relevant platform files.

It has been working fine at 16bpp but in case of pixel format more then
24bpp it would occur distortedness situation on that mode. so this patch
set the word swap control bit of WINCONx to 1 as default value. but it
should be set to 0 in case that each ENLOCAL bit of WINCON0 ~ 2 registers
is enabled. this issue would be solved with local path feature soon.

P4080 ESDHC controller does not support 1.8V and 3.0V voltage. but the
host controller capabilities register wrongly set the bits. This patch
adds the workaround to correct the weird voltage setting bits. Only 3.3V
voltage is supported for P4080 ESDHC controller.
