irqchip/gic-v3-its: Fix GICv4.1 VPE affinity update
When updating the affinity of a VPE, the VMOVP command is currently skipped
if the two CPUs are part of the same VPE affinity.
But this is wrong, as the doorbell corresponding to this VPE is still
delivered on the 'old' CPU, which screws up the balancing. Furthermore,
offlining that 'old' CPU results in doorbell interrupts generated for this
VPE being discarded.
The harsh reality is that VMOVP cannot be elided when a set_affinity()
request occurs. It needs to be obeyed, and if an optimisation is to be
made, it is at the point where the affinity change request is made (such as
in KVM).
Drop the VMOVP elision altogether, and only use the vpe_table_mask
to try and stay within the same ITS affinity group if at all possible.

irqchip/gic-v3-its: Restore quirk probing for ACPI-based systems
While refactoring the way the ITSs are probed, the handling of quirks
applicable to ACPI-based platforms was lost. As a result, systems such as
HIP07 lose their GICv4 functionnality, and some other may even fail to
boot, unless they are configured to boot with DT.
Move the enabling of quirks into its_probe_one(), making it common to all
firmware implementations.

irqchip/gic-v3-its: Handle non-coherent GICv4 redistributors
Although the GICv3 code base has gained some handling of systems failing to
handle the shareability attributes, the GICv4 side of things has been
firmly ignored.
This is unfortunate, as the new recent addition of the "dma-noncoherent" is
supposed to apply to all of the GICR tables, and not just the ones that are
common to v3 and v4.
Add some checks to handle the VPROPBASE/VPENDBASE shareability and
cacheability attributes in the same way we deal with the other GICR_BASE
registers, wrapping the flag check in a helper for improved readability.
Note that this has been found by inspection only, as I don't have access to
HW that suffers from this particular issue.

irqchip/loongson-eiointc: Use correct struct type in eiointc_domain_alloc()
eiointc_domain_alloc() uses struct eiointc, which is not defined, for a
pointer. Older compilers treat that as a forward declaration and due to
assignment of a void pointer there is no warning emitted. As the variable
is then handed in as a void pointer argument to irq_domain_set_info() the
code is functional.
Use struct eiointc_priv instead.

irqchip/irq-brcmstb-l2: Add write memory barrier before exit
It was observed on Broadcom devices that use GIC v3 architecture L1
interrupt controllers as the parent of brcmstb-l2 interrupt controllers
that the deactivation of the parent interrupt could happen before the
brcmstb-l2 deasserted its output. This would lead the GIC to reactivate the
interrupt only to find that no L2 interrupt was pending. The result was a
spurious interrupt invoking handle_bad_irq() with its associated
messaging. While this did not create a functional problem it is a waste of
cycles.
The hazard exists because the memory mapped bus writes to the brcmstb-l2
registers are buffered and the GIC v3 architecture uses a very efficient
system register write to deactivate the interrupt.
Add a write memory barrier prior to invoking chained_irq_exit() to
introduce a dsb(st) on those systems to ensure the system register write
cannot be executed until the memory mapped writes are visible to the
system.

header cleanups for 6.8

irqchip/qcom-mpm: Support passing a slice of SRAM as reg space
The MPM hardware is accessible from the ARM CPUs through a shared memory region (RPM MSG RAM) which is also concurrently accessed by other kinds of cores on the system like modem, ADSP etc. Modeling this relation in a (somewhat) sane manner in the device tree requires to - either present the MPM as a child of said memory region, which makes little sense, as a mapped memory carveout is not a bus. - define nodes which bleed their register spaces into one another - or passing their slice of the MSG RAM through a property Go with the third option and add a way to map a region passed through the "qcom,rpm-msg-ram" property as register space for the MPM interrupt controller. The current way of using 'reg' is preserved for backwards compatibility reasons. irqchip/renesas-rzg2l: Add support for suspend to RAM
The irqchip-renesas-rzg2l driver is used on RZ/G3S SoC. RZ/G3S can go into deep sleep states where power to different SoC's parts is cut off and RAM is switched to self-refresh. The resume from these states is done with the help of the bootloader. The IA55 IRQ controller needs to be reconfigured when resuming from deep sleep state. For this the IA55 registers are cached in suspend and restored in resume. The IA55 IRQ controller is connected to GPIO controller and GIC as follows: ┌──────────┐ ┌──────────┐ │ │ SPIX │ │ │ ├─────────►│ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ ┌────────┐IRQ0-7 │ IA55 │ │ GIC │ Pin0 ───────►│ ├─────────────►│ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ PPIY │ │ ... │ GPIO │ │ ├─────────►│ │ │ │GPIOINT0-127 │ │ │ │ PinN ───────►│ ├─────────────►│ │ │ │ └────────┘ └──────────┘ └──────────┘ where: - Pin0 is the first GPIO controller pin - PinN is the last GPIO controller pin - SPIX is the SPI interrupt with identifier X - PPIY is the PPI interrupt with identifier Y Implement suspend/resume functionality with syscore_ops to be able to cache/restore the registers after/before the GPIO controller suspend/resume functions are invoked. As the syscore_ops suspend/resume functions do not take any argument make the driver private data static so it can be accessed from the suspend/resume functions. The IA55 interrupt controller is resumed before the GPIO controller. As GPIO pins could be in an a state which causes spurious interrupts, the reconfiguration of the interrupt controller is restricted to restore the interrupt type and leave them disabled. An eventually required interrupt enable operation will be done as part of the GPIO controller resume function after restoring the GPIO state. irqchip/gic-v3-its: Flush ITS tables correctly in non-coherent GIC designs
In non-coherent GIC designs, the ITS tables must be flushed before writing

which results in unpredictable behavior.
Flush the tables right at the begin of its_setup_baser() to prevent that.

Updates for the interrupt subsytem:
Core: - Exclude managed interrupts in the calculation of interrupts which are targeted to a CPU which is about to be offlined to ensure that there are enough free vectors on the still online CPUs to migrate them over. Managed interrupts do not need to be accounted because they are either shut down on offline or migrated to an already reserved and guaranteed slot on a still online CPU in the interrupts affinity mask. irqchip/sifive-plic: Fix syscore registration for multi-socket systems
Multi-socket systems have a separate PLIC in each socket, so __plic_init()
is invoked for each PLIC. __plic_init() registers syscore operations, which
obviously fails on the second invocation.
Move it into the already existing condition for installing the CPU hotplug
state so it is only invoked once when the first PLIC is initialized.

Use preferred device_get_match_data() instead of of_match_device() to get the driver match data in a single step without the unnecessary intermediate match pointer. irqchip/gic-v3-its: Don't override quirk settings with default values
When splitting the allocation of the ITS node from its configuration,
some of the default settings were kept in the latter instead of
being moved to the former.
This has the side effect of negating some of the quirk detections that
have happened in between, amongst which the dreaded Synquacer hack
(that also affect Dominic's TI platform).
Move the initialisation of these fields early, so that they can again be
overriden by the Synquacer quirk.

arm64: Avoid cpus_have_const_cap() for ARM64_WORKAROUND_CAVIUM_23154
In gic_read_iar() we use cpus_have_const_cap() to check for ARM64_WORKAROUND_CAVIUM_23154 but this is not necessary and alternative_has_cap_*() would be preferable. For historical reasons, cpus_have_const_cap() is more complicated than it needs to be. Before cpucaps are finalized, it will perform a bitmap test of the system_cpucaps bitmap, and once cpucaps are finalized it will use an alternative branch. This used to be necessary to handle some race conditions in the window between cpucap detection and the subsequent patching of alternatives and static branches, where different branches could be out-of-sync with one another (or w.r.t. alternative sequences). Now that we use alternative branches instead of static branches, these are all patched atomically w.r.t. one another, and there are only a handful of cases that need special care in the window between cpucap detection and alternative patching. Due to the above, it would be nice to remove cpus_have_const_cap(), and migrate callers over to alternative_has_cap_*(), cpus_have_final_cap(), or cpus_have_cap() depending on when their requirements. This will remove redundant instructions and improve code generation, and will make it easier to determine how each callsite will behave before, during, and after alternative patching. The ARM64_WORKAROUND_CAVIUM_23154 cpucap is detected and patched early on the boot CPU before the GICv3 driver is initialized and hence before gic_read_iar() is ever called. Thus it is not necessary to use cpus_have_const_cap(), and alternative_has_cap() is equivalent. In addition, arm64's gic_read_iar() lives in irq-gic-v3.c purely for historical reasons. It was originally added prior to 32-bit arm support in commit: |

- Make the Renesas RZG2L driver correct for interrupts which are outside
of the LSB in the TSSR register by using the proper macro for
calculating the mask
- Document the Renesas RZ2GL device tree binding correctly and update
them for a few devices which faul to boot otherwise
- Use the proper accessor in the RZ2GL driver instead of blindly
dereferencing an unchecked pointer
- Make GICv3 handle the dma-non-coherent attribute correctly
- Ensure that all interrupt controller nodes on RISCV are marked as
initialized correctly
Maintainer changes:
- Add a new entry for GIC interrupt controllers and assign Marc Zyngier
as the maintainer
- Remove Marc Zyngier from the core and driver maintainer entries as he
is burried in work and short of time to handle that.
Thanks to Marc for all the great work he has done in the past couple of

irqchip/imx-intmux: Annotate struct intmux_data with __counted_by
Prepare for the coming implementation by GCC and Clang of the __counted_by attribute. Flexible array members annotated with __counted_by can have their accesses bounds-checked at run-time checking via CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS (for array indexing) and CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE (for strcpy/memcpy-family functions). As found with Coccinelle[1], add __counted_by for struct intmux_data. irqchip/riscv-intc: Mark all INTC nodes as initialized
The RISC-V INTC local interrupts are per-HART (or per-CPU) so we create INTC IRQ domain only for the INTC node belonging to the boot HART. This means only the boot HART INTC node will be marked as initialized and other INTC nodes won't be marked which results downstream interrupt controllers (such as PLIC, IMSIC and APLIC direct-mode) not being probed due to missing device suppliers. To address this issue, we mark all INTC node for which we don't create IRQ domain as initialized. irqchip/gic-v3: Enable non-coherent redistributors/ITSes DT probing
The GIC architecture specification defines a set of registers for redistributors and ITSes that control the sharebility and cacheability attributes of redistributors/ITSes initiator ports on the interconnect (GICR_[V]PROPBASER, GICR_[V]PENDBASER, GITS_BASER<n>). Architecturally the GIC provides a means to drive shareability and cacheability attributes signals and related IWB/OWB/ISH barriers but it is not mandatory for designs to wire up the corresponding interconnect signals that control the cacheability/shareability of transactions. Redistributors and ITSes interconnect ports can be connected to non-coherent interconnects that are not able to manage the shareability/cacheability attributes; this implicitly makes the redistributors and ITSes non-coherent observers. So far, the GIC driver on probe executes a write to "probe" for the redistributors and ITSes registers shareability bitfields by writing a value (ie InnerShareable - the shareability domain the CPUs are in) and check it back to detect whether the value sticks or not; this hinges on a GIC programming model behaviour that predates the current specifications, that just define shareability bits as writeable but do not guarantee that writing certain shareability values enable the expected behaviour for the redistributors/ITSes memory interconnect ports. To enable non-coherent GIC designs, introduce the "dma-noncoherent" device tree property to allow firmware to describe redistributors and ITSes as non-coherent observers on the memory interconnect and use the property to force the shareability attributes to be programmed into the redistributors and ITSes registers through the GIC quirks mechanism. ARM: SoC drivers for 6.6
The main change this time is the introduction of the drivers/genpd subsystem that gets split out from drivers/soc to keep common functionality together. Ulf Hansson is taking over maintainership for these and is sending a separate pull request with the same commits, but they are in the soc drivers tree to avoid conflicts against other soc driver patches. The SCMI driver subsystem gets an update to version 3.2 of the specification. There are also updates to memory, reset and other firmware drivers. On the soc driver side, the updates are mostly cleanups across a number of Arm platforms. On driver for loongarch adds power management for DT based systems, another driver is for HiSilicon's Arm server chips with their HCCS system health interface. The remaining updates for the most part add support for additional hardware in existing drivers or contain minor cleanups. Most of these are for the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCgAdFiEEiK/NIGsWEZVxh/FrYKtH/8kJUicFAmTuWdMACgkQYKtH/8kJ UicprBAAsvZ5h636MOwYasgK1bKnsWgj9yrBSzIf7VzKbBS5/QCrDSDek9oDvTBp p6Rr+WC1RQl9i2DiRVSbEqkUS6X4hQF0kJdLudBwYuxBDf8ayzFzKAKk/ecsyoaC 0Rkeh4fCu1zVnQ2DZSPFJVRl01/oCr1ZtJ1W0UrXCslOSQy2987VqpJ/EQbaDLgb 3imxpvJNBscaKwcYRgxhcIMBLdGi3qXRE/TmAf1WMe8w6dfk5KmFiPPD7zxPTnFb 0fssdxgocjOkXEn6L1VdBMoTt4UQaU+xbnFsOsDA/F0EjR9ZLlhtwZxANv4GicP6 52FMFaxeXSUnpBelzuyRQpgnt9WW3ZbBGb9iaisTl1pwjC3PcN2noo8uFZk+kO6b 8q0fh4KVmD0QIupC4cfTsF4SGAQvnhko2ls9bt4FTF+z0COV3Ifs2cAggH+hn3yD IziBrUUZrR4G8XhisJRQNZcRh1H/vVchcumqsxzCMhpXLWwdZ5vW85GCR/fAtQQT woYgqFHXZjEko66bu2dtayr1dgmPvfbO6rXpUkIdeskY6XuKfZXuB93LkhsZ17LY dfAaBLUebjMcpLrltCqyP1tUoqGyVOTJKxtB2MolHo/V/2JbKYmYHAMy+qX5I0Qm UUbQDpHnkaQMTK2L/qvdfE4lgwWfFWX7lCK/AGa4ZBFl+Zl6DgE= =xmHW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'soc-drivers-6.6' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/soc/soc Pull ARM SoC driver updates from Arnd Bergmann: "The main change this time was the introduction of the drivers/genpd subsystem that gets split out from drivers/soc to keep common functionality together.
