mainlining shenanigans
The value of the field dfl_device.type comes from the 12 bits register field DFH_ID according to DFL spec. So this patch changes the definition of the type field to u16. Also it is not necessary to illustrate the valid bits of the type field in comments. Instead we should explicitly define the possible values in the enumeration type for it, because they are shared by hardware spec. We should not let the compiler decide these values. Similar changes are also applied to dfl_device.feature_id. This patch also fixed the MODALIAS format according to the changes above. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
