mainlining shenanigans
The PCI_OHCI_INT_REG case in pci_ohci_read_reg() contains the following if statement: if ((lo & 0x00000f00) == CS5536_USB_INTR) CS5536_USB_INTR expands to the constant 11, which gives us the following condition which can never evaluate true: if ((lo & 0xf00) == 11) At least when using GCC 8.1.0 this falls foul of the tautoligcal-compare warning, and since the code is built with the -Werror flag the build fails. Fix this by shifting lo right by 8 bits in order to match the corresponding PCI_OHCI_INT_REG case in pci_ohci_write_reg(). Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
