mainlining shenanigans
Printing an __iomem pointer as %x produces a warning: drivers/ata/sata_fsl.c: In function 'fsl_sata_set_irq_coalescing': drivers/ata/sata_fsl.c:316:17: error: format '%x' expects argument of type 'unsigned int', but argument 2 has type 'void *' [-Werror=format=] 316 | DPRINTK("ICC register status: (hcr base: 0x%x) = 0x%x\n", | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 317 | hcr_base, ioread32(hcr_base + ICC)); | ~~~~~~~~ | | | void * It's not clear why that pointer should be printed here, but if we do, then using %p is the way to avoid the warnings. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
