With UBSAN enabled and building with clang, there are occasionally warnings like WARNING: modpost: vmlinux.o(.text+0xc533ec): Section mismatch in reference from the function arch_atomic64_or() to the variable .init.data:numa_nodes_parsed The function arch_atomic64_or() references the variable __initdata numa_nodes_parsed. This is often because arch_atomic64_or lacks a __initdata annotation or the annotation of numa_nodes_parsed is wrong. for functions that end up not being inlined as intended but operating on __initdata variables. Mark these as __always_inline, along with the corresponding asm-generic wrappers. Linux kernel

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
