Rename struct dma_buf_map to struct iosys_map and corresponding APIs. Over time dma-buf-map grew up to more functionality than the one used by dma-buf: in fact it's just a shim layer to abstract system memory, that can be accessed via regular load and store, from IO memory that needs to be acessed via arch helpers. The idea is to extend this API so it can fulfill other needs, internal to a single driver. Example: in the i915 driver it's desired to share the implementation for integrated graphics, which uses mostly system memory, with discrete graphics, which may need to access IO memory. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
