As previously explained, packets that are dropped due to buffer related reasons (e.g., tail drop, early drop) can be mirrored to the CPU port. These packets are then trapped with one of the "mirror session" traps and their CQE includes the reason for which the packet was mirrored. Register with devlink a new trap, early_drop, and initialize the corresponding Rx listener with the appropriate mirror reason. Return an error in case user tries to change the traps' action, as this is not supported. Since Spectrum-1 does not support these traps, the above is only done for Spectrum-2 onwards. Linux kernel

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
