In `do_fb_ioctl()` of fbmem.c, if cmd is FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO, var will be copied from user, then go through `fb_set_var()` and `info->fbops->fb_check_var()` which could may be `pm2fb_check_var()`. Along the path, `var->pixclock` won't be modified. This function checks whether reciprocal of `var->pixclock` is too high. If `var->pixclock` is zero, there will be a divide by zero error. So, it is necessary to check whether denominator is zero to avoid crash. There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
