The mmio tracer sets io mapping PTEs and PMDs to non present when enabled without inverting the address bits, which makes the PTE entry vulnerable for L1TF. Make it use the right low level macros to actually invert the address bits to protect against L1TF. In principle this could be avoided because MMIO tracing is not likely to be enabled on production machines, but the fix is straigt forward and for consistency sake it's better to get rid of the open coded PTE manipulation. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
