Some callers may want to know if PHY write succeed. Also make PHY

Devices are added to pci_pme_list when drivers use pci_enable_wake()
or pci_wake_from_d3(), but they aren't removed from the list unless
the driver explicitly disables wakeup. Many drivers never disable
wakeup, so their devices remain on the list even after they are
removed, e.g., via hotplug. A subsequent PME poll will oops when
it tries to touch the device.
This patch disables PME# on a device before removing it, which removes
the device from pci_pme_list. This is safe even if the device never
had PME# enabled.
This oops can be triggered by unplugging a Thunderbolt ethernet adapter
on a Macbook Pro, as reported by Daniel below.

We walk through the bind address list and try to get the best source
address for a given destination. However, currently, we take the
'continue' path of the loop when an entry is invalid (!laddr->valid)
*and* the entry state does not equal SCTP_ADDR_SRC (laddr->state !=
SCTP_ADDR_SRC).
Thus, still, invalid entries with SCTP_ADDR_SRC might not 'continue'
as well as valid entries with SCTP_ADDR_{NEW, SRC, DEL}, with a possible
false baddr and matchlen as a result, causing in worst case dst route
to be false or possibly NULL.
This test should actually be a '||' instead of '&&'. But lets fix it
and make this a bit easier to read by having the condition the same way
as similarly done in sctp_v4_get_dst.

An entry in DAT with the hashed position of 0 can cause a NULL pointer
dereference when the first entry is checked by batadv_choose_next_candidate.
This first candidate automatically has the max value of 0 and the max_orig_node
of NULL. Not checking max_orig_node for NULL in batadv_is_orig_node_eligible
will lead to a NULL pointer dereference when checking for the lowest address.
This problem was added in 785ea11441
("batman-adv: Distributed ARP Table - create DHT helper functions").

When interrupts are disabled, an RX condition can occur but
it is not reported when enabling interrupts again. We need to check
RSR and use napi_reschedule() if condition is met.

Patch cef401de7b (net: fix possible wrong checksum
generation) fixed wrong checksum calculation but it broke TSO by
defining new GSO type but not a netdev feature for that type.
net_gso_ok() would not allow hardware checksum/segmentation
offload of such packets without the feature.
Following patch fixes TSO and wrong checksum. This patch uses
same logic that Eric Dumazet used. Patch introduces new flag
SKBTX_SHARED_FRAG if at least one frag can be modified by
the user. but SKBTX_SHARED_FRAG flag is kept in skb shared
info tx_flags rather than gso_type.
tx_flags is better compared to gso_type since we can have skb with
shared frag without gso packet. It does not link SHARED_FRAG to
GSO, So there is no need to define netdev feature for this.

This functionality is used for restoring tcp sockets. A tcp timestamp
depends on how long a system has been running, so it's differ for each
host. The solution is to set a per-socket offset.
A per-socket offset for a TIME_WAIT socket is inherited from a proper
tcp socket.
tcp_request_sock doesn't have a timestamp offset, because the repair
mode for them are not implemented.

Eric noticed that the handling of local u64 ethtool counters for
this driver commonly found on Freescale ppc-32 boards was racy.
However, before converting them over to atomic64_t, I noticed
that an internal struct was being used to determine the offsets
for exporting this data into the ethtool buffer, and in doing
so, it assumed that the counters would always be u64. Rather
than keep this implicit assumption, a simple code cleanup gets
rid of the struct completely, and leaves less conversion sites.
The alternative solution would have been to take advantage of
the fact that the counters are all relating to error conditions,
and hence make them internally u32. In doing so, we'd be assuming
that U32_MAX of any particular error condition is highly unlikely.
This might have made sense if any increments were in a hot path.
Tested with "ethtool -S eth0" on sbc8548 board.

hardpps() functionality is provided through the N_PPS line
discipline now. The new function signature was added in commit
025b40ab (2011-01-12). There was no previous macro or
function hardpps(), at least since before the initial commit of
v2.6.12 in 2005. It's unlikely this code has been compiled since.

Currently, the serial nodes define both a clock-frequency and a clocks
property. We should not provide both, since they might conflict.
In practice, this also causes problems since the of_serial driver uses
the clock-frequency property in preference to the clocks property, and
hence doesn't clk_prepare_enable() the clock, which may then leave it
with no known users, and hence the common clock framework will disable
it, thus breaking the port, which is usually the console.

enum tegra*_clk is intended to match the IDs listed in the Tegra clock
bindings. There are a few mismatches, which this patch fixes:
1) pll_s and cop were left out of the Tegra20 enum.
2) spdif_in and spdif_out were swapped relative to the Tegra30 binding.
3) i2cslow was misnamed as i2c_slow, and a duplicate i2cslow clock added
to the Tegra30 enum.

The PPS (Pulse-Per-Second) line discipline has developed a number of
unhealthy attachments to core tty data and functions, ultimately leading
to its breakage.
The previous patches fixed the crashing. This one reduces coupling further
by eliminating the timestamp parameter from the dcd_change ldisc method.
This reduces header file linkage and makes the extension more generic,
and the timestamp read is delayed only slightly, from just before the
ldisc->ops->dcd_change method call to just after.

Remove the cdev from the system (with cdev_del) *before* deallocating it
(in pps_device_destruct, called via kobject_put from device_destroy).
Also prevent deallocating a device with open file handles.
A better long-term fix is probably to remove the cdev from the pps_device
entirely, and instead have all devices reference one global cdev. Then
the deallocation ordering becomes simpler.
But that's more complex and invasive change, so we leave that
for later.

Now that N_TTY uses tty->disc_data for its private data,
'subclass' ldiscs cannot use ->disc_data for their own private data.
(This is a regression is v3.8-rc1)
Use pps_lookup_dev to associate the tty with the pps source instead.
This fixes a crashing regression in 3.8-rc1.

The PPS serial line discipline wants to attach a PPS device to a tty
without changing the tty code to add a struct pps_device * pointer.
Since the number of PPS devices in a typical system is generally very low
(n=1 is by far the most common), it's practical to search the entire list
of allocated pps devices. (We capture the timestamp before the lookup,
so the timing isn't affected.)
It is a bit ugly that this function, which is part of the in-kernel
PPS API, has to be in pps.c as opposed to kapi,c, but that's not
something that affects users.

In vmk80xx_do_insn_bits the local variable reg, which is used as an
index to the tx_buf array, can be used uninitialized if
- data[0] == 0
and
- devpriv->model != VMK8061_MODEL
-> we get into the else branch without having reg initialized.
Since the driver usually differentiates between VMK8061_MODEL and
VMK8055_MODEL it's safe to assume that VMK8055_DO_REG was meant as an
initial value.
And to avoid duplication we can move the assignments to the top.

Make sure serial-driver dtr_rts is called with disc_mutex held after
checking the disconnected flag.
Due to a bug in the tty layer, dtr_rts may get called after a device has
been disconnected and the tty-device unregistered. Some drivers have had
individual checks for disconnect to make sure the disconnected interface
was not accessed, but this should really be handled in usb-serial core
(at least until the long-standing tty-bug has been fixed).
Note that the problem has been made more acute with commit 0998d06310
("device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound") as the
port data is now also NULL when dtr_rts is called resulting in further
oopses.

I get the following build error on next-20130213 due to the following
commit:
commit f05de73bf8 ("skbuff: create
skb_panic() function and its wrappers").
It adds an argument called panic to a function that uses the BUG() macro
which tries to call panic, but the argument masks the panic() function
declaration, resulting in the following error (gcc 4.2.4):
