.llong is an undocumented PPC specific directive. The generic
equivalent is .quad, but even better (because it's self describing) is
.8byte.

There's a non-trivial dependency between some commits we want to put in
next and the KVM prefetch work around that went into fixes. So merge
fixes into next.
Two config options exist to define powerpc MPC8xx:
* CONFIG_PPC_8xx
* CONFIG_8xx
arch/powerpc/platforms/Kconfig.cputype has contained the following
comment about CONFIG_8xx item for some years:
"# this is temp to handle compat with arch=ppc"
arch/powerpc is now the only place with remaining use of
CONFIG_8xx: get rid of them.

The 8xx cannot access the TBL and TBU registers using mfspr/mtspr
It must be accessed using mftb/mftbu
Due to this, there is a number of places with #ifdef CONFIG_8xx
This patch defines new macros MFTBL(x) and MFTBU(x) on the same model
as MFTB(x) and tries to make use of them as much as possible.
In arch/powerpc/include/asm/timex.h, we also remove the ifdef
for the asm() operands as the compiler doesn't mind unused operands

Historically the boot wrapper was always built 32-bit big endian, even
for 64-bit kernels. That was because old firmwares didn't necessarily
support booting a 64-bit image. Because of that arch/powerpc/boot/Makefile
uses CROSS32CC for compilation.
However when we added 64-bit little endian support, we also added
support for building the boot wrapper 64-bit. However we kept using
CROSS32CC, because in most cases it is just CC and everything works.
However if the user doesn't specify CROSS32_COMPILE (which no one ever
does AFAIK), and CC is *not* biarch (32/64-bit capable), then CROSS32CC
becomes just "gcc". On native systems that is probably OK, but if we're
cross building it definitely isn't, leading to eg:
gcc ... -m64 -mlittle-endian -mabi=elfv2 ... arch/powerpc/boot/cpm-serial.c
gcc: error: unrecognized argument in option ‘-mabi=elfv2’
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-mlittle-endian’
make: *** [zImage] Error 2
To fix it, stop using CROSS32CC, because we may or may not be building
32-bit. Instead setup a BOOTCC, which defaults to CC, and only use
CROSS32_COMPILE if it's set and we're building for 32-bit.

The at24 driver allows to register I2C EEPROM chips using different vendor
and devices, but the I2C subsystem does not take the vendor into account
when matching using the I2C table since it only has device entries.
But when matching using an OF table, both the vendor and device has to be
taken into account so the driver defines only a set of compatible strings
using the "atmel" vendor as a generic fallback for compatible I2C devices.
So add this generic fallback to the device node compatible string to make
the device to match the driver using the OF device ID table.

We use a directory under arch/$ARCH/boot/dts as an include path
that has links outside of the subtree to find dt-bindings from under
include/dt-bindings. That's been working well, but new DT architectures
haven't been adding them by default.
Recently there's been a desire to share some of the DT material between
arm and arm64, which originally caused developers to create symlinks or
relative includes between the subtrees. This isn't ideal -- it breaks
if the DT files aren't stored in the exact same hierarchy as the kernel
tree, and generally it's just icky.
As a somewhat cleaner solution we decided to add a $ARCH/ prefix link
once, and allow DTS files to reference dtsi (and dts) files in other
architectures that way.
Original approach was to create these links under each architecture,
but it lead to the problem of recursive symlinks.
As a remedy, move the include link directories out of the architecture
trees into a common location. At the same time, they can now share one
directory and one dt-bindings/ link as well.

table to be sized based on the current memory usage of the guest,
rather than the maximum possible memory usage.
- Implementation of optprobes (kprobe optimisation) for powerpc.
In addition there's the topic branch shared with the KVM tree, which
includes support for guests to use the Radix MMU on Power9.

Highlights include:
- Support for the kexec_file_load() syscall, which is a prereq for secure and
trusted boot.
- Prevent kernel execution of userspace on P9 Radix (similar to SMEP/PXN).
- Sort the exception tables at build time, to save time at boot, and store
them as relative offsets to save space in the kernel image & memory.
- Allow building the kernel with thin archives, which should allow us to build
an allyesconfig once some other fixes land.
- Build fixes to allow us to correctly rebuild when changing the kernel endian
from big to little or vice versa.
- Plumbing so that we can avoid doing a full mm TLB flush on P9 Radix.
- Initial stack protector support (-fstack-protector).
- Support for dumping the radix (aka. Linux) and hash page tables via debugfs.
- Fix an oops in cxl coredump generation when cxl_get_fd() is used.
- Freescale updates from Scott: "Highlights include 8xx hugepage support,
qbman fixes/cleanup, device tree updates, and some misc cleanup."
- Many and varied fixes and minor enhancements as always.

The boot wrapper performs its own relocations and does not require
PT_INTERP segment. However currently we don't tell the linker that.
Prior to binutils 2.28 that works OK. But since binutils commit
1a9ccd70f9a7 ("Fix the linker so that it will not silently generate ELF
binaries with invalid program headers. Fix readelf to report such
invalid binaries.") binutils tries to create a program header segment
due to PT_INTERP, and the link fails because there is no space for it:
ld: arch/powerpc/boot/zImage.pseries: Not enough room for program headers, try linking with -N
ld: final link failed: Bad value
So tell the linker not to do that, by passing --no-dynamic-linker.

Now that we don't set ARCH incorrectly when calling the boot Makefile,
we can use the generic cpp_lds_S rule for converting our zImage.lds.S
into zImage.lds.
The main advantage of using the generic rule is that it correctly uses
if_changed, which means we correctly regenerate the linker script when
switching endian. Fixing that means we are finally able to build one
endian and then rebuild the other endian without requiring to clean
between builds.

If we're using if_changed then we must depend on FORCE, so that
if_changed gets a chance to check if something changed.

When configured with CONFIG_PPC_EARLY_DEBUG_OPAL=y the kernel expects
the OPAL entry and base addresses to be passed in r8 and r9
respectively. Currently the wrapper does not attempt to restore these
values before entering the decompressed kernel which causes the kernel
to branch into whatever happens to be in r9 when doing a write to the
OPAL console in early boot.
This patch adds a platform_ops hook that can be used to branch into the
new kernel. The OPAL console driver patches this at runtime so that if
the console is used it will be restored just prior to entering the
kernel.

This commit broke boot on systems with an uncompressed kernel image,
namely systems using a cuImage. On such systems the compressed boot
image (boot wrapper, uncompressed kernel image, ..) is decompressed
by u-boot already, therefore the boot wrapper code sees an
uncompressed kernel image.
The old decompression code silently assumed an uncompressed kernel
image if it found no valid gzip signature, whilst the new code
bailed out in this case.
Fix this by re-introducing such a fallback if no valid compressed
image is found.

This patch adds an option to use XZ compression for the kernel image.
Currently this is only enabled for 64-bit Book3S targets, which is
roughly equivalent to the platforms that use the kernel's zImage
wrapper, and that have been tested.
The bulk of the 32-bit platforms and 64-bit BookE use uboot images,
which relies on uboot implementing XZ. In future we can enable XZ
support for those targets once someone has tested it.

This modifies the wrapper script so that the -Z option takes an argument
to specify the compression type. It can either be 'gz', 'xz' or 'none'.
The legazy --no-gzip and -z options are still supported and will set the
compression to none and gzip respectively, but they are not documented.
Only XZ -6 is used for compression rather than XZ -9. Using compression
levels higher than 6 requires the decompressor to build a large (64MB)
dictionary when decompressing and some environments cannot satisfy such
large allocations (e.g. POWER 6 LPAR partition firmware).
