dd4a9ac05c mwifiex: send regulatory domain info to firmware only if alpha2 changed
On cfg80211 regulatory domain change, drivers gets alpha2 country
code or "00" in driver's notification handler.

In most cases, the pattern will be US, 00, US, 00, US, 00, US, ...
There is no need to send domain info to firmware in case of "00" or
with the same alpha2 country code.

bd2a864a14 mwifiex: do not flood kmsg/dmesg with USB debug messages
When TX data URB reaches high water mark the message
"data: -ENOSR is returned" is printed.
This is not an error case, so change it to debug print.

c613d16fa7 mwifiex: fix an issue with Appletalk devices
SNAP/LLC header in the AARP packet is being stripped off while
preparing an EthernetII header.
Annex M, Table M.3 in 802.11 spec says that some header
(ex. AppleTalk AARP(2)) should pass through untouched.
This patch modifies the check to exclude/include EthernetII
header translation for special cases.

struct to aggregate parameters for mgmt_tx functions.

8fe02e167e cfg80211: consolidate passive-scan and no-ibss flags
These two flags are used for the same purpose, just
combine them into a no-ir flag to annotate no initiating
radiation is allowed.

Old userspace sending either flag will have it treated as
the no-ir flag. To be considerate to older userspace we
also send both the no-ir flag and the old no-ibss flags.
Newer userspace will have to be aware of older kernels.

Update all places in the tree using these flags with the

353d2a69ea mwifiex: fix issues in driver unload path for USB chipsets
1) After driver load failure, clear 'card->adapter' instead of
card pointer so that card specific cleanup is performed later
when user unloads the driver.

2) Clear usb_card pointer in disconnect handler to avoid invalid
memory access when user unloads the driver after removing the
card.

3c59e328eb mwifiex: fix memory leak issue for sdio and pcie cards
When driver is failed to load, card pointer doesn't get
freed. We will free it in cleanup handler which is called
in failure as well as unload path.
Also, update drvdata in init/cleanup handlers instead of
register/unregister handlers.

98a4635bba mwifiex: fix potential mem leak in .del_virtual_intf
1) Currently we freeing wdev for each interface in driver unload
path. We may leak memory if user have already deleted an interface.
mwifiex_add_virtual_intf() allocates wdev structure. So it should
be freed in mwifiex_del_virtual_intf().
This will make sure that wdev will be freed when user deletes an
interface and also in unload path.
2) "priv->netdev->ieee80211_ptr" should also be cleared in
mwifiex_del_virtual_intf.

d1af2943da mwifiex: fix NULL pointer dereference in mwifiex_fw_dpc
We don't need to free/unregister wiphy when
mwifiex_register_cfg80211() fails. The routine internally takes
care of it. This redundant code can cause NULL pointer dereference,
for adapter->wiphy.

bec568ff51 mwifiex: failure path handling in mwifiex_add_virtual_intf()
1) If register_netdevice() is failed, we are freeing netdev
pointer, but priv->netdev is not cleared. This gives kernel
paging request error when driver is unloaded or interface is
deleted. Fix the problem by clearing the pointer.
2) Fix memory leak issue by freeing 'wdev' in failure paths.
Also, clear priv->wdev pointer.

As mwifiex_add_virtual_intf() successfully handles the
failure conditions, redundant code under err_add_intf label
is removed in this patch.

8d93f1f309 mwifiex: fix wrong eth_hdr usage for bridged packets in AP mode
The eth_hdr is never defined in this driver but it gets compiled
without any warning/error because kernel has defined eth_hdr.

Fix it by defining our own p_ethhdr and use it instead of eth_hdr.

d03b4aa77e mwifiex: correct packet length for packets from SDIO interface
While receiving a packet on SDIO interface, we allocate skb with
size multiple of SDIO block size. We need to resize this skb

As tlv_buf_len is decremented at the end of the loop, we may have
accessed invalid memory in the last iteration.
Modify the while condition and add a break statement at the
begining of the loop to fix the problem.

With "while (length)" check we may end up in accessing invalid
memory in last iteration.
This patch makes sure that tlv length is not less than the length
of structure mwifiex_power_group when min/max power is calculated.

930fd35c8d mwifiex: replace u16 with __le16 in struct mwifiex_types_power_group
__le16 to u16 conversion is missing for "pg_tlv_hdr->length"
in mwifiex_get_power_level(). This creates a problem on big
endian machines.
It is resolved by changing definition of the structure
and making required endianness changes.

Before we loop for next iteration we adjust the buffer pointer and
"resp_len":

		curr += (tlv_len + sizeof(tlv_hdr->header));
		resp_len -= (tlv_len + sizeof(tlv_hdr->header));

If "resp_len" gets set to negative then it counts as a high positive
value.

e8041ceede mwifiex: inform cfg80211 about disconnect if device is removed
If device is surprise removed, commands sent to FW including
deauthenticate command fail as bus writes fail.
We update our media_connected status to false and inform cfg80211
about disconnection only when command is successful. Since cfg80211
assumes device is still connected, it results into following
WARN_ON during unload:

WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 18245 at net/wireless/core.c:937
         cfg80211_netdev_notifier_call+0x175/0x4d0 [cfg80211]()

Avoid this by emitting cfg80211_disconnected event even if the
deauthenticate command fails.

from a variety of players as well.

1) Conflicts with Joe Perches's 'extern' removal from header file
   function declarations.  Usually it's an argument signature change
   or a function being added/removed.  The resolutions are trivial.

2) Some overlapping changes in qmi_wwan.c and be.h, one commit adds
   a new value, another changes an existing value.  That sort of
   thing.

453b0c3f69 mwifiex: fix SDIO interrupt lost issue
601216e "mwifiex: process RX packets in SDIO IRQ thread directly"
introduced a command timeout issue which can be reproduced easily on
an AM33xx platform using a test application written by Daniel Mack:

mwifiex_main_process() is called from both the SDIO handler and
the workqueue. In case an interrupt occurs right after the
int_status check, but before updating the mwifiex_processing flag,
this interrupt gets lost, resulting in a command timeout and
consequently a card reset.

Let main_proc_lock protect both int_status and mwifiex_processing
flag. This fixes the interrupt lost issue.

On Surface Pro, suspend to ram gives a NULL pointer dereference in
pfifo_fast_enqueue(). The stack trace reveals that the offending
call is clearing carrier in mwifiex_usb suspend handler.

Since commit 1499d9f "mwifiex: don't drop carrier flag over suspend"
has removed the carrier flag handling over suspend/resume in SDIO
and PCIe drivers, I'm removing it in USB driver too. This also fixes
the bug for Surface Pro.

bd1c6142ed mwifiex: fix hang issue for USB chipsets

We have 4 bytes of interface header for packets delivered to SDIO
and PCIe, but not for USB interface.

In Tx AMSDU case, currently 4 bytes of garbage data is unnecessarily
appended for USB packets. This sometimes leads to a firmware hang,
because it may not interpret the data packet correctly.

Problem is fixed by removing this redundant headroom for USB.

b7be1522de mwifiex: fix PCIe hs_cfg cancel cmd timeout
For pcie8897, the hs_cfg cancel command (0xe5) times out when host
comes out of suspend. This is caused by an incompleted host sleep
handshake between driver and firmware.

Like SDIO interface, PCIe also needs to go through firmware power
save events to complete the handshake for host sleep configuration.
Only USB interface doesn't require power save events for hs_cfg.

b3a7cd1948 mwifiex: Remove extern from function prototypes
There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern
in the kernel sources.  Standardize on not using extern for
function prototypes.

Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern.
extern is assumed by the compiler.  Its use is as unnecessary as
using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block.
