This patch modifies the ohci platform driver to accept the num_ports
parameter to be set via platform_data. Setting the number of ports must be
done after the call to ohci_hcd_init().

Convert a possibly 0 error return code to a negative one, as returned
elsewhere in the function.
A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as
follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)
// <smpl>

identifier ret;
expression e,e1,e2,e3,e4,x;
@@
(
if (\(ret != 0\|ret < 0\) || ...) { ... return ...; }

ret = 0
)
... when != ret = e1
*x = \(kmalloc\|kzalloc\|kcalloc\|devm_kzalloc\|ioremap\|ioremap_nocache\|devm_ioremap\|devm_ioremap_nocache\)(...);
... when != x = e2
when != ret = e3
*if (x == NULL || ...)
{

usb_ohci_pdata is certainly required in ohci-platform driver.
This patch avoids using BUG_ON() from driver,
and return from probe with WARN_ON() if pdata was NULL.

This adds a generic driver for platform devices. It works like the PCI
driver and is based on it. This is for devices which do not have an own
bus but their OHCI controller works like a PCI controller. It will be
used for the Broadcom bcma and ssb USB OHCI controller.
