7831b4ff0d qeth: delete napi struct when removing a qeth device
A qeth_card contains a napi_struct linked to the net_device during
device probing. This struct must be deleted when removing the qeth
device, otherwise Panic on oops can occur when qeth devices are
repeatedly removed and added.

70deb01662 qeth: omit outbound queue 3 for unicast packets in Priority Queuing on HiperSockets
On HiperSockets only outbound queues 0 to 2 are available for unicast
packets. Current Priority Queuing implementation in the qeth driver puts
outgoing packets in outbound queues 0 to 3.

This puts outgoing unicast packets into outbound queue 2 instead of
outbound queue 3 when using Priority Queuing on a HiperSocket.
Additionally, the default outbound queue cannot be set to outbound queue 3
on HiperSockets.

6c7cd71244 qeth: improve set_features error handling
The function set_features is called to configure network device features
on the hardware. If errors occur, the network device features should
reflect the changed hardware state and the function should return an
error in order to notify the user.

In case of an error, the current implementation does not necessarily
save the changed hardware state in the network device features before an
error is returned.

This patch improves error handling by saving features, that could be
changed, to the network device features before returning an error. If
the device is not running, an additional check in fix_features removes
features, that require hardware changes, before they are passed to
set_features. Thus, the corresponding check was removed in set_features.

9bdc441102 qeth: add network device features for VLAN devices
Network device features indicate the capabilities of network devices (e.g.,
TX checksum offloading and TSO) and their configuration state. Additional
network device features (vlan_features) indicate for each network device,
which capabilities can be used on VLAN devices, that are configured on the
respective base network device.

In the current qeth implementation, network device features are only set
for the base network devices and not for the VLAN devices. Thus, features
like TX checksum offloading cannot be used on VLAN devices.

This patch adds network device features to vlan_features, so they can be
used by VLAN devices.

8f43fb00a1 qeth layer 2 and layer 3 common feature handling
This patch introduces a common set of fix_features and set_features
functions for layer 2 and layer 3. The RX, TX and TSO offload
functionality on the OSA card is enabled using ethtool at user's
request and not at device initialization as done before.

For layer 3 the RX checksum offloading is disabled at device
initialization time.

5f78e29cee qeth: optimize IP handling in rx_mode callback
In layer3 mode of the qeth driver, multicast IP addresses
from struct net_device and other type of IP addresses
from other sources require mapping to the OSA-card.
This patch simplifies the IP address mapping logic, and changes imple-
mentation of ndo_set_rx_mode callback and ip notifier events.
Addresses are stored in private hashtables instead of lists now.
It allows hardware registration/removal for new/deleted multicast
addresses only.

6059c90537 qeth: introduce linearization fail count to stats
When skb data touches too many pages, skb_linearize() is called
opportunistically in the hope that less pages will be required
for a big linear buffer than for multiple fragments. This patch
intoduces a separate counter in ethtool statistics structure
representing _failed_ linearization attempts.

2601e4ed3f qeth: enable scatter/gather by default
Set scatter/gather ON by default on OSA, for both layer 2 and
layer 3 modes. We always use fragmentation over QDIO anyway,
so let the upper layers of the stack take advantage of that.

d52aec97e5 qeth: enable scatter/gather in layer 2 mode
The patch enables NETIF_F_SG flag for OSA in layer 2 mode.
It also adds performance accounting for fragmented sends,
adds a conditional skb_linearize() attempt if the skb had
too many fragments for QDIO SBAL, and fills netdevice->gso_*
attributes.

   errors by making all sector-aligned zeroing go through the driver.

7e36eff1ee s390/3270: handle reconnect of a tty with a different size
If an existing 3270 terminal disconnects and reconnects with a
different size, the 3270 driver still works with the old size.
If the new dimensions are larger the output merely looks funny,
if the new dimensions are smaller the terminal is unusable.

To fix this restart the size detection after a unit check has
been received.

8340ab60b3 s390/3270: avoid endless I/O loop with disconnected 3270 terminals
If a 3270 terminal is disconnected while the tty view is active
the 3270 driver goes into an endless loop of failed I/O requests
until the terminal is connected again.

Add code to the raw3270 interrupt handler to check for unit checks
due to failed I/O requests and put the device to sleep with the
RAW3270_FLAGS_BUSY flag until a unsolicited device end interrupt
indicates that the device can be used again. while we are at it
simplify the 3270 irq handling and remove unnecessary code.

2e63a3a666 s390/3270: fix garbled output on 3270 tty view
The tty3270_update function tries to optimize the output stream by
skipping the TO_SBA command to position the output offset if the
TO_RA command of the previous line ended at the same offset.
But some lines do not have the TO_RA at the end, namely those
with a length equal to the number of columns.

Make sure there is a TO_RA at the end of the previous line to avoid
funny looking output.

are unnecessary as the state transitions are already mutually exclusive;
the tty lock prevents concurrent open/close/hangup.

532c34b5fb s390/sclp_ctl: fix potential information leak with /dev/sclp
The sclp_ctl_ioctl_sccb function uses two copy_from_user calls to
retrieve the sclp request from user space. The first copy_from_user
fetches the length of the request which is stored in the first two
bytes of the request. The second copy_from_user gets the complete
sclp request, but this copies the length field a second time.
A malicious user may have changed the length in the meantime.

1378a68344 s390/dcssblk: fix possible deadlock in remove vs. per-device attributes
dcssblk_remove_store() holds the dcssblk_devices_sem semaphore while
calling device_unregister(), which in turn tries to acquire the kernfs
kn->dev_map rwsem for the device sysfs subtree. The same rwsem is also
acquired when using the per-device sysfs attributes in the device sub-tree,
and the attribute handlers then also acquire the dcssblk_devices_sem.

This can lead to a deadlock when removing a DCSS while concurrently
reading from / writing to one of its sysfs attributes. The following
lockdep warning hinted towards the issue (CPU0 = dcssblk_remove_store,

1d64508810 scsi: disable automatic target scan
On larger installations it is useful to disable automatic LUN scanning,
and only add the required LUNs via udev rules.  This can speed up bootup
dramatically.

This patch introduces a new scan module parameter value 'manual', which
works like 'none', but can be overridden by setting the 'rescan' value
from scsi_scan_target to 'SCSI_SCAN_MANUAL'.  And it updates all
relevant callers to set the 'rescan' value to 'SCSI_SCAN_MANUAL' if
invoked via the 'scan' option in sysfs.

59a9ed5f87 s390/dasd: reorder lcu and device lock
Reorder lcu and device lock to get rid of the error-prone trylock
mechanism.

The locking order is lcu lock -> device lock.
This protects against changes to the lcu device lists and enables us
to iterate over the devices, take the cdev lock and make changes to
the device structures.

The complicated part is the summary unit check handler that gets an
interrupt on one device of the lcu that leads to structural changes of
the whole lcu itself. This work needs to be done even if devices on
the lcu disappear. So a device independent worker is used.
The old approach tried to update some lcu structures and set up the
lcu worker in the interrupt context with the device lock held.
But this forced the lock order "cdev lock -> lcu lock" that made it
hard to have the lcu lock held and iterate over all devices and change
them.

The new approach is to schedule a device specific worker that gets
out of the interrupt context and rid of the device lock for summary
unit checks. This worker is able to take the lcu lock and schedule the
lcu worker that updates all devices. The time between interrupt and
worker execution is no problem because the devices in the lcu reject
all I/O in this time with an appropriate error. The dasd driver can
deal with this situation and re-drive the I/O later on.
