On some boxes the mobile chipset is used and there is no LVDS device. In such
case we had better not initialize the LVDS output device so that one pipe can
be used for other output device. For example: E-TOP.
But unfortunately the LVDS device is still initialized on the boxes based on
mobile chipset in KMS mode. It brings that this pipe occupied by LVDS can't be
used for other output device.
After checking the acpidump we find that there is no LID device on such boxes.
In such case we can use the LID device to decide whether the LVDS device should
be initialized.
If there is no LID device, we can think that there is no LVDS device. It is
unnecessary to initialize the LVDS output device.
If there exists the LID device, it will continue the current flowchart.
Maybe on some boxes there is no LVDS device but the LID device is found. In
such case it should be added to the quirk list.

cifs: add and use CIFSSMBUnixSetFileInfo for setattr calls
When there's an open filehandle, SET_FILE_INFO is apparently preferred
over SET_PATH_INFO. Add a new variant that sets a FILE_UNIX_INFO_BASIC
infolevel via SET_FILE_INFO and switch cifs_setattr_unix to use the
new call when there's an open filehandle available.

This patch replaces the hardcoded 255 seconds limit for a real limit based on
oscr_freq.
Also, the 'firmware_version' field is changed to '1' to allow the user
space application to easily detect that this driver supports a higher
maximum timeout.

This makes the VIC resume from suspend flagged IRQ:s identical to
the flags indicating all possible interrupts. This is perhaps not
the optimal setting but setting it to 0 makes the system suspend
and never come back again (all IRQ sources masked off).

Add clkdev support for the ep93xx_keypad driver.
A matrix keypad driver for the ep93xx just got merged via the
input subsystem group. For this driver to work the keypad clock
needs to be added to the ep93xx clkdev support. In order to
accomplish this the following changes are implemented:
1) Move the EP93XX_EXT_*_RATE defines to mach/include/hardware.h.
2) Add EP93XX_KEYTCHCLK_DIV{4/16} for the keypad driver.
3) Add support for programmable clocks (set_rate() callback).
4) Add clk_keypad for the keypad driver.
5) tab indent the clk_lookup table for easier reading.
6) Add the set_rate() callback to program the keypad clock.
This callback is generalized since the ADC clock (touchscreen)
can use the same callback.
7) Use the ep93xx_syscon_swlocked_write() core function for updating
the software locked register.

Add core functions to handle writes to the ep93xx software locked
registers.
There are a number of registers in the EP93xx System Controller
that require a write to the software lock register before they
can be updated. This patch adds a number of exported functions
to the ep93xx core that handle this access.
The software locked clock divider registers, VidClkDiv, MIRClkDiv,
I2SClkDiv and KeyTchClkDiv would typically involve writing a
specific value to the register. To support this the
ep93xx_syscon_swlocked_write() function is provided.
For the DeviceCfg register it's more typical to only need to
set or clear a single bit. A generic ep93xx_devcfg_set_clear()
function is provided to handle both operations. Two inline
functions, ep93xx_devcfg_set_bits() and ep93xx_devcfg_clear_bits()
are also provided to improve code readability.
In addition, the remaining bits in the System Controller Device
Config Register have been documented and the previously defined
names shortened.
All code paths that use this functionality have been updated
except for arch/arm/kernel/crunch.c. That code is in a context
switch path, which is not reentrant, so it is safe against itself.

In the beep tone calculation for IDT/STAC codecs, lower numbers correspond
to higher frequencies and vice versa. The current code has this backwards,
resulting in beep frequencies which are way too high (and sound bad on
tinny laptop speakers, resulting in complaints).

In the 'ubifs_recover_leb()' function, when we find corrupted
empty space, we dump 8K starting from the offset where the last
node ends. This is OK if the corrupted empty space is somewhere
near that offset. But if the corruption is far at the end of the
LEB, we will dump all 0xFF bytes and complitely ignore the
interesting data. This is observed on a PPC ("kilauea") with
NOR flash.
This patch changes the behavior and teaches UBIFS to print only
interesting data. I.e., now we find where corruption starts and
start dumping from that offset.

In case of corruptions, dump 8192 bytes instead of 4096. The
largest node is 4096+ bytes, so it is better to see a node
boundary, which is not always possible when only 4096 bytes
are printed.

Using early netconsole and gianfar driver this error pops up:
netconsole: timeout waiting for carrier
It appears that net/core/netpoll.c:netpoll_setup() is using
cond_resched() in a loop waiting for a carrier.
The thing is that cond_resched() is a no-op when system_state !=
SYSTEM_RUNNING, and so drivers/net/phy/phy.c's state_queue is never
scheduled, therefore link detection doesn't work.
I belive that the main problem is in cond_resched()[1], but despite
how the cond_resched() story ends, it might be a good idea to call
msleep(1) instead of cond_resched(), as suggested by Andrew Morton.

Discarded sections in different archs share some commonality but have
considerable differences. This led to linker script for each arch
implementing its own /DISCARD/ definition, which makes maintaining
tedious and adding new entries error-prone.
This patch makes all linker scripts to move discard definitions to the
end of the linker script and use the common DISCARDS macro. As ld
uses the first matching section definition, archs can include default
discarded sections by including them earlier in the linker script.
ia64 is notable because it first throws away some ia64 specific
subsections and then include the rest of the sections into the final
image, so those sections must be discarded before the inclusion.
defconfig compile tested for x86, x86-64, powerpc, powerpc64, ia64,
alpha, sparc, sparc64 and s390. Michal Simek tested microblaze.

Microblaze wants to throw out EXIT_TEXT during runtime too. This
hasn't caused trouble till now because the linker script didn't
discard EXIT_TEXT and it ended up in its default output section. As
discard definition is about to be unified, include EXIT_TEXT into
_stext explicitly and while at it replace explicit exitcall definition
to EXIT_CALL.

If the mount fails for any reason, ocfs2_dismount_volume calls
ocfs2_orphan_scan_stop. It requires that ocfs2_orphan_scan_init
be called to setup the mutex and work queues, but that doesn't
happen if the mount has failed and we oops accessing an uninitialized
work queue.
This patch splits the init and startup of the orphan scan, eliminating
the oops.
