c19dffc0a9 usb: chipidea: udc: workaround for endpoint conflict issue
An endpoint conflict occurs when the USB is working in device mode
during an isochronous communication. When the endpointA IN direction
is an isochronous IN endpoint, and the host sends an IN token to
endpointA on another device, then the OUT transaction may be missed
regardless the OUT endpoint number. Generally, this occurs when the
device is connected to the host through a hub and other devices are
connected to the same hub.

The affected OUT endpoint can be either control, bulk, isochronous, or
an interrupt endpoint. After the OUT endpoint is primed, if an IN token
to the same endpoint number on another device is received, then the OUT
endpoint may be unprimed (cannot be detected by software), which causes
this endpoint to no longer respond to the host OUT token, and thus, no
corresponding interrupt occurs.

There is no good workaround for this issue, the only thing the software
could do is numbering isochronous IN from the highest endpoint since we
have observed most of device number endpoint from the lowest.

a3a4754833 usb: chipidea: Refactor USB PHY selection and keep a single PHY
Refactor the code in charge of looking up the USB PHY when no platdata
is provided. Attempt to get a generic USB PHY first, then look for a
legacy USB PHY through device-tree and finally get any registered PHY
with the correct type.

This way, only a single USB PHY is obtained and the flow is easier to
understand and follow.

All error pointers (except for EPROBE_DEFER) are considered as PHY
not found.

68ef236274 usb: chipidea: Grab the (legacy) USB PHY by phandle first
According to the chipidea driver bindings, the USB PHY is specified via
the "phys" phandle node. However, this only takes effect for USB PHYs
that use the common PHY framework. For legacy USB PHYs, a simple lookup
based on the USB PHY type is done instead.

This does not play out well when more than one USB PHY is registered,
since the first registered PHY matching the type will always be
returned regardless of what the driver was bound to.

Fix this by looking up the PHY based on the "phys" phandle node.
Although generic PHYs are rather matched by their "phys-name" and not
the "phys" phandle directly, there is no helper for similar lookup on
legacy PHYs and it's probably not worth the effort to add it.

When no legacy USB PHY is found by phandle, fallback to grabbing any
registered USB2 PHY. This ensures backward compatibility if some users
were actually relying on this mechanism.

a82bf696aa usb: chipidea: imx: support configuring for active low oc signal
The status quo on i.MX6 is that if "over-current-active-high" is
specified in the device tree this is configured as expected. If
the property is missing polarity isn't changed and so the
polarity is kept as setup by the bootloader. Reset default is
active high, so active low can only be used with help by the
bootloader. On i.MX7 it is similar, but there disabling of
over current detection has a similar inconsistency.

This patch introduces a new property that allows to explicitly
configure for active low over current detection and consistently
sets this up. In the absence of an explicit configuration the
bit is kept as is. On i.MX7 over current detection is used unless
disabled in the device tree.

4e88d4c083 usb: add a flag to skip PHY initialization to struct usb_hcd
The USB HCD core driver parses the device-tree node for "phys" and
"usb-phys" properties. It also manages the power state of these PHYs
automatically.
However, drivers may opt-out of this behavior by setting "phy" or
"usb_phy" in struct usb_hcd to a non-null value. An example where this
is required is the "Qualcomm USB2 controller", implemented by the
chipidea driver. The hardware requires that the PHY is only powered on
after the "reset completed" event from the controller is received.

A follow-up patch will allow the USB HCD core driver to manage more than
one PHY. Add a new "skip_phy_initialization" bitflag to struct usb_hcd
so drivers can opt-out of any PHY management provided by the USB HCD
core driver.

This also updates the existing drivers so they use the new flag if they
want to opt out of the PHY management provided by the USB HCD core
driver. This means that for these drivers the new "multiple PHY"
handling (which will be added in a follow-up patch) will be disabled as
well.

ca35910a1b USB: move many drivers to use DEVICE_ATTR_WO
Instead of "open coding" a DEVICE_ATTR() define, use the
DEVICE_ATTR_WO() macro instead, which does everything properly instead.

This does require a few static functions to be renamed to work properly,
but thanks to a script from Joe Perches, this was easily done.

894025f24b USB/PHY patches for 4.15-rc1
Here is the big set of USB and PHY driver updates for 4.15-rc1.

There is the usual amount of gadget and xhci driver updates, along with
phy and chipidea enhancements. There's also a lot of SPDX tags and
license boilerplate cleanups as well, which provide some churn in the
 diffstat.

Other major thing is the typec code that moved out of staging and into
the "real" part of the drivers/usb/ tree, which was nice to see happen.

All of these have been in linux-next with no reported issues for a
 while.

add the proper SPDX license tag to them, based on the original license

51b751f112 USB: chipidea: Remove redundant license text
Now that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the license
in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording
can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.

This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.

No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.
