Currently, this driver only supports feature for DMA 32-bits.
In this case, only if the data length is divisible by 4 to use
DMA, otherwise PIO will be used. This patch will suggest use
the DMA 32-bits with 4bytes of words, then the remaining data
will be transmitted by PIO mode.

And a fix for probable memory corruption in some of the new NPU code, caught by
smatch though and not seen in the wild.

The cleaner thread usually takes care of delayed iputs, with the
exception of the btrfs_end_transaction_throttle path. Delaying iputs
means we are potentially delaying the eviction of an inode and it's
respective space. The cleaner thread only gets woken up every 30
seconds, or when we require space. If there are a lot of inodes that
need to be deleted we could induce a serious amount of latency while we
wait for these inodes to be evicted. So instead wakeup the cleaner if
it's not already awake to process any new delayed iputs we add to the
list. If we suddenly need space we will less likely be backed up
behind a bunch of inodes that are waiting to be deleted, and we could
possibly free space before we need to get into the flushing logic which
will save us some latency.

Delayed iputs means we can have final iputs of deleted inodes in the
queue, which could potentially generate a lot of pinned space that could
be free'd. So before we decide to commit the transaction for ENOPSC
reasons, run the delayed iputs so that any potential space is free'd up.
If there is and we freed enough we can then commit the transaction and
potentially be able to make our reservation.

Eventually, we have every process in the system waiting on
balance_dirty_pages(), and nobody is able to make progress on page
writeback.
The original patch tried to fix an OOM condition, that happened on 4.4 but no
success reproducing that on later kernels (4.19 and 4.20). This is more likely
a problem in OOM itself.

Since commmit 5d32a66541 ("PCI/ACPI: Allow ACPI to be built without
CONFIG_PCI set"), its now possible to have ACPI enabled without haveing
PCI enabled. However, the pvpanic driver depends on HAS_IOPORT_MAP or
HAVE_IOREMAP_PROT when ACPI is enabled. It was fine until
commit 725eba2928 ("misc/pvpanic: add MMIO support") got added.
Rework so that we do a extra check ifdef CONFIG_HAS_IOPORT_MAP.

ipcnum is indirectly controlled by user-space, hence leading to
a potential exploitation of the Spectre variant 1 vulnerability.
This issue was detected with the help of Smatch:
drivers/char/mwave/mwavedd.c:299 mwave_ioctl() warn: potential spectre issue 'pDrvData->IPCs' [w] (local cap)
Fix this by sanitizing ipcnum before using it to index pDrvData->IPCs.
Notice that given that speculation windows are large, the policy is
to kill the speculation on the first load and not worry if it can be
completed with a dependent load/store [1].

This happens because hdmi_dai_probe() attempts to access the HDMI
codec private data, but this has not been assigned by hdmi_dai_probe()
before it calls devm_snd_soc_register_component(). Move the call to
dev_set_drvdata() before devm_snd_soc_register_component() to avoid
this oops.

In the ip_rcv the skb goes through the PREROUTING hook first, then kicks
in vrf device and go through the same hook again. When conntrack dnat
works with vrf, there will be some conflict with rules because the
packet goes through the hook twice with different nf status.

For a package with ip daddr 2.2.2.11 and tcp dport 22, first time accept in the
rule-1000-ingress and dnat to 10.0.0.7. Then second time the packet goto the wrong

These options are not present in some (all?) clang versions, so when we
build for a distro that has a gcc new enough to have these options and
that the distro python build config settings use them but clang doesn't
support, b00m.
This is the case with fedora rawhide (now gearing towards f30), so check
if clang has the and remove the missing ones from CFLAGS.

The way we allocate events works fine in most cases, except
when multiple PCI devices share an ITS-visible DevID, and that
one of them is trying to use MultiMSI allocation.
In that case, our allocation is not guaranteed to be zero-based
anymore, and we have to make sure we allocate it on a boundary
that is compatible with the PCI Multi-MSI constraints.
Fix this by allocating the full region upfront instead of iterating
over the number of MSIs. MSI-X are always allocated one by one,
so this shouldn't change anything on that front.

The perf_proc_update_handler() handles /proc/sys/kernel/perf_event_max_sample_rate
syctl variable. When the PMU IRQ handler timing monitoring is disabled, i.e,
when /proc/sys/kernel/perf_cpu_time_max_percent is equal to 0 or 100,
then no modification to sysctl_perf_event_sample_rate is allowed to prevent
possible hang from wrong values.
The problem is that the test to prevent modification is made after the
sysctl variable is modified in perf_proc_update_handler().
You get an error:
$ echo 10001 >/proc/sys/kernel/perf_event_max_sample_rate
echo: write error: invalid argument
But the value is still modified causing all sorts of inconsistencies:
$ cat /proc/sys/kernel/perf_event_max_sample_rate

This patch fixes the problem by moving the parsing of the value after
the test.

The connection tracking hooks can be optionally registered per netns
when conntrack is specifically invoked from the ruleset since
0c66dc1ea3 ("netfilter: conntrack: register hooks in netns when needed
by ruleset"). Then, since 4d3a57f23d ("netfilter: conntrack: do not
enable connection tracking unless needed"), the default behaviour is
changed to always register them on demand.
This patch provides a toggle that allows users to always register them.
Without this toggle, in order to use conntrack for statistics
collection, you need a dummy rule that refers to conntrack, eg.
iptables -I INPUT -m state --state NEW
This patch allows users to restore the original behaviour via modparam,
ie. always register connection tracking, eg.
modprobe nf_conntrack enable_hooks=1
Hence, no dummy rule is required.

Its now same as __nf_ct_l4proto_find(), so rename that to
nf_ct_l4proto_find and use it everywhere.
It never returns NULL and doesn't need locks or reference counts.

Due to historical reasons, all l4 trackers register their own
sysctls.
This leads to copy&pasted boilerplate code, that does exactly same
thing, just with different data structure.
Place all of this in a single file.
This allows to remove the various ctl_table pointers from the ct_netns
structure and reduces overall code size.

Remove those lookups.
The function nf_ct_invert_tuplepr becomes redundant, replace

We can use gre. Lock is only needed when a new expectation is added.
In case a single spinlock proves to be problematic we can either add one
per netns or use an array of locks combined with net_hash_mix() or similar
to pick the 'correct' one.
But given this is only needed for an expectation rather than per packet
a single one should be ok.

To allow for a batch to contain rules in arbitrary ordering, introduce
NFTA_RULE_POSITION_ID attribute which works just like NFTA_RULE_POSITION
but contains the ID of another rule within the same batch. This helps
iptables-nft-restore handling dumps with mixed insert/append commands
correctly.
Note that NFTA_RULE_POSITION takes precedence over
NFTA_RULE_POSITION_ID, so if the former is present, the latter is
ignored.

Following command:
iptables -D FORWARD -m physdev ...
causes connectivity loss in some setups.
Reason is that iptables userspace will probe kernel for the module revision
of the physdev patch, and physdev has an artificial dependency on
br_netfilter (xt_physdev use makes no sense unless a br_netfilter module
is loaded).
This causes the "phydev" module to be loaded, which in turn enables the
"call-iptables" infrastructure.
bridged packets might then get dropped by the iptables ruleset.
The better fix would be to change the "call-iptables" defaults to 0 and
enforce explicit setting to 1, but that breaks backwards compatibility.
This does the next best thing: add a request_module call to checkentry.
This was a stray '-D ... -m physdev' won't activate br_netfilter
anymore.
