0359d1afe4 PM / devfreq: allow sysfs governor node to switch governor
This allows us to select governor runtime from the
default configuration without having to rebuild kernel
or the devfreq driver using the sysfs node:
/sys/class/devfreq/.../governor
cat of the governor will return valid governor
and an echo 'governor_name'>governor will switch
governor

1b5c1be2c8 PM / devfreq: map devfreq drivers to governor using name
Allow devfreq drivers to register a preferred governor name
and when the devfreq governor loads itself at a later point
required drivers are managed appropriately, at the time of
unload of a devfreq governor, stop managing those drivers
as well.

Since the governor structures do not need to be exposed
anymore, remove the definitions and make them static

NOTE: devfreq_list_lock is now used to protect governor
start and stop - as this allows us to protect governors and
devfreq with the proper dependencies as needed.

As part of this change, change the registration of exynos
bus driver to request for ondemand using the governor name.

3aa173b8db PM / devfreq: provide hooks for governors to be registered
Add devfreq_add_governor and devfreq_remove_governor which
can be invoked by governors to register with devfreq.

This sets up the stage to dynamically switch governors and
allow governors to be dynamically loaded as well.

fe5f255930 mac80211: fix channel context suspend/reconfig handling
Sujith reported warnings with suspend/resume due to
channel contexts. When I looked into it, I realised
that the code was completely broken as it unassigned
the channel contexts when suspending, which actually
means they are destroyed.

Eliad Peller then pointed out that we also need to
remove the channel contexts from the driver. When I
looked into this, I also noticed that the code isn't
handling the virtual monitor interface correctly (if
it exists.)

Fix this by calling just the driver methods (if they
are implemented) instead of using the channel context
management code. Also add reconfiguration for the
virtual monitor interface.

BCM6345 has an intermediate 16-bits wide test control register between the
peripheral identifier register, and its clock control register is only 16-bits

d287de855f PM / devfreq: Add sysfs node to expose available frequencies
devfreq governors such as ondemand are controlled by a min and
max frequency, while governors like userspace governor allow us
to set a specific frequency.
However, for the same specific device, depending on the SoC, the
available frequencies can vary.

So expose the available frequencies as a snapshot over sysfs to
allow informed decisions.

This was inspired by cpufreq framework's equivalent for similar
usage sysfs node: scaling_available_frequencies.

8ac49e0485 Add support for generic BCM SoC chipsets
In order to start upstreaming Broadcom SoC support, create
a starting hierarchy, arch and dts files.
The first support SoC family that is planned is the
BCM281XX (BCM11130/11140/11351/28145/28155) family of dual A9 mobile
SoC cores.
This code is just the skeleton code for get the machine upstreamed. It
has been made MULTIPLATFORM compatible.
Next steps
----------
Upstream a basic set of drivers - sufficient for a console boot to
ramdisk. These will includer timer, gpio, i2c drivers.
After this basic set, we will proceed with a more comprehensive set
of drivers for the 281XX SoC family.

v2 patch mods
--------
 - Remove l2x0_of_init call as there were problems with the code.
A separate patch will be submitted with cache init code
 - Rename capri files and refs to bcm281xx-based names
 - Add bcm281xx binding doc
 - various misc cleanups

v3 patch mods
-------------
 - Remove extra #include lines
 - Remove remaining references to capri
 - dt uart chipset string added
 - cleaned up chip # references

v4 patch mods
-------------
 - swap order of compatible definitions for uart
 - fix typo

v5 patch mods
-------------
 - Rename bcm281xx to bcm11351 in dts+code,
leaving references to bcm281xx only in help+comments.

v6 patch mods
-------------
 - fix typo in uart 'compatible' string

6c1e963cc5 drm/ttm: Optimize reservation slightly
Reservation locking currently always takes place under the LRU spinlock.
Hence, strictly there is no need for an atomic_cmpxchg call; we can use
atomic_read followed by atomic_write since nobody else will ever reserve
without the lru spinlock held.
At least on Intel this should remove a locked bus cycle on successful
reserve.

Note that thit commit may be obsoleted by the cross-device reservation work.

cdad05216c drm/ttm, drm/vmwgfx: Use RCU locking for object lookups v3
The mostly used lookup+get put+potential_destroy path of TTM objects
is converted to use RCU locks. This will substantially decrease the amount
of locked bus cycles during normal operation.
Since we use kfree_rcu to free the objects, no rcu synchronization is needed
at module unload time.

4b20db3de8 kref: Implement kref_get_unless_zero v3
This function is intended to simplify locking around refcounting for
objects that can be looked up from a lookup structure, and which are
removed from that lookup structure in the object destructor.
Operations on such objects require at least a read lock around
lookup + kref_get, and a write lock around kref_put + remove from lookup
structure. Furthermore, RCU implementations become extremely tricky.
With a lookup followed by a kref_get_unless_zero *with return value check*
locking in the kref_put path can be deferred to the actual removal from
the lookup structure and RCU lookups become trivial.

v2: Formatting fixes.
v3: Invert the return value.
