fef51ecd10 perf report: Show branch info in callchain entry for browser mode
If the branch is 100% predicted then the "predicted" is hidden.
Similarly, if there is no branch tsx abort, the "abort" is hidden.
There is only cycles shown (cycle is supported on skylake platform,
older platform would be 0).

If no iterations, the "iterations" is hidden.

3dd029ef94 perf report: Calculate and return the branch flag counting
Create some branch counters in per callchain list entry. Each counter
is for a branch flag. For example, predicted_count counts all the
*predicted* branches. The counters get updated by processing the
callchain cursor nodes.

It also provides functions to retrieve or print the values of counters
in callchain list.

Besides the counting for branch flags, it also counts and returns the
average number of iterations.

f9a7be7c02 perf report: Create a symbol_conf flag for showing branch flag counting
Create a new flag show_branchflag_count in symbol_conf. The flag is used
to control if showing the branch flag counting information. The flag
depends on if the perf.data has branch data and if user chooses the
"branch-history" option in perf report command line.

410024dbbc perf report: Add branch flag to callchain cursor node
Since the branch ip has been added to call stack for easier browsing,
this patch adds more branch information. For example, add a flag to
indicate if this ip is a branch, and also add with the branch flag.

Then we can know if the cursor node represents a branch and know what
the branch flag it has.

The branch history code has a loop detection pass that removes loops. It
would be nice for knowing how many loops were removed then in next
steps, we can compute out the average number of iterations.

For example:

Before remove_loops(),
entry0: from = 0x100, to = 0x200
entry1: from = 0x300, to = 0x250
entry2: from = 0x300, to = 0x250
entry3: from = 0x300, to = 0x250
entry4: from = 0x700, to = 0x800

After remove_loops()
entry0: from = 0x100, to = 0x200
entry1: from = 0x300, to = 0x250
entry2: from = 0x700, to = 0x800

The original entry2 and entry3 are removed. So the number of iterations
(from = 0x300, to = 0x250) is equal to removed number + 1 (2 + 1).

iterations = removed number + 1;
average iteractions = Sum(iteractions) / number of samples

This formula ignores other cases, for example, iterations cross multiple
buffers and one buffer contains 2+ loops. Because in practice, it's good
enough.

No real change in functionality, but the old interface seems to be
deprecated.

We don't actually care about ordering necessarily, but we do depend on
running at most one work item at a time: nfsd4_process_cb_update()
assumes that no other thread is running it, and that no new callbacks
are starting while it's running.

2f5f44f205 iommu/exynos: Use device dependency links to control runtime pm
This patch uses recently introduced device dependency links to track the
runtime pm state of the master's device. The goal is to let SYSMMU
controller device's runtime PM to follow the runtime PM state of the
respective master's device. This way each SYSMMU controller is active
only when its master's device is active and can properly restore or save
its state instead on runtime PM transition of master's device.
This approach replaces old behavior, when SYSMMU controller was set to
runtime active once after attaching to the master device. In the new
approach SYSMMU controllers no longer prevents respective power domains
to be turned off when master's device is not being used.

This patch reduces total power consumption of idle system, because most
power domains can be finally turned off. For example, on Exynos 4412
based Odroid U3 this patch reduces power consuption from 136mA to 130mA
at 5V (by 4.4%).

The dependency links also enforce proper order of suspending/restoring
devices during system sleep transition, so there is no more need to use
LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS-based workaround for ensuring that SYSMMUs are
suspended after their master devices.

9b265536c2 iommu/exynos: Add runtime pm support
This patch adds runtime pm implementation, which is based on previous
suspend/resume code. SYSMMU controller is now being enabled/disabled mainly
from the runtime pm callbacks. System sleep callbacks relies on generic
pm_runtime_force_suspend/pm_runtime_force_resume helpers. To ensure
internal state consistency, additional lock for runtime pm transitions
was introduced.

This patch reworks locking in the exynos_iommu_attach/detach_device
functions to ensure that all entries of the sysmmu_drvdata and

To avoid possible races, set master device pointer in each SYSMMU
controller once on boot. Suspend/resume callbacks now properly relies on
the configured iommu domain to enable or disable SYSMMU controller.
While changing the code, also update the sleep debug messages and make
them conditional.

47a574fffc iommu/exynos: Simplify internal enable/disable functions
Remove remaining leftovers of the ref-count related code in the
__sysmmu_enable/disable functions inline __sysmmu_enable/disable_nocount
to them. Suspend/resume callbacks now checks if master device is set for
given SYSMMU controller instead of relying on the activation count.

08d090cfed perf config: Mark where are config items from (user or system)
To write config items to a particular config file, we should know where
is each config section and item from.

Current setting functionality of perf-config use autogenerating way by
overwriting collected config items to a config file.

For example, when collecting config items from user and system config
files (i.e. ~/.perfconfig and $(sysconf)/perfconfig), perf_config_set
can contain both user and system config items.  So we should know where
each value is from to avoid merging user and system config items on user
config file.

Add setting feature that can add config variables with their values to a
config file (i.e. user or system config file) or modify config key-value
pairs in a config file.  For the syntax examples:

    perf config [<file-option>] [section.name[=value] ...]

e.g. You can set the ui.show-headers to false with

    # perf config ui.show-headers=false

If you want to add or modify several config items, you can do like

    # perf config annotate.show_nr_jumps=false kmem.default=slab

Though the keyboard driver for GPIO buttons(gpio-keys) will continue to
check for/support the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup" boolean property to
enable gpio buttons as wakeup source, "wakeup-source" is the new
standard binding.

This patch replaces the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup" with the unified
"wakeup-source" property in order to avoid any further copy-paste
duplication.

f7e9b004b8 drm/i915/fbc: inline intel_fbc_can_choose()
It only has two checks now, so it makes sense to just move the code to
the caller.

Also take this opportunity to make no_fbc_reason make more sense: now
we'll only list "no suitable CRTC for FBC" instead of maybe giving a
reason why the last CRTC we checked was not selected, and we'll more
consistently set the reason (e.g., if no primary planes are visible).

4d1368f7fa drm/i915: Fix test on inputs for vma_compare()
When supplying a view to vma_compare() it is required that the supplied
i915_address_space is the global GTT. I tested the VMA instead (which is
the current position in the rbtree and maybe from any address space).

(This reapplies commit a44342acde ("drm/i915: Fix test on inputs for
vma_compare()") as it was lost in the vma split)

51f8cc9e81 iommu/dma: Implement dma_{map,unmap}_resource()
With the new dma_{map,unmap}_resource() functions added to the DMA API
for the benefit of cases like slave DMA, add suitable implementations to
the arsenal of our generic layer. Since cache maintenance should not be
a concern, these can both be standalone callback implementations without
the need for arch code wrappers.

36662794bb perf config: Validate config variable arguments before trying use them
You can show the values for several config items as below:

    # perf config report.queue-size call-graph.record-mode

but it is necessary to more precisely check arguments, before passing
them to show_spec_config().  This validation function would be also used
when parsing config key-value pairs arguments in the near future.

2ef32dee97 drm/i915/gen9: fix the WM memory bandwidth WA for Y tiling cases
The previous spec version said "double Ytile planes minimum lines",
and I interpreted this as referring to what the spec calls "Y tile
minimum", but in fact it was referring to what the spec calls "Minimum
Scanlines for Y tile". I noticed that Mahesh Kumar had a different
interpretation, so I sent and email to the spec authors and got
clarification on the correct meaning. Also, BSpec was updated and
should be clear now.

0ffaa9c8eb staging: lustre: hsm: Use file lease to implement migration
Implement non-blocking migration based on exclusive open instead of
group lock. Implemented exclusive close operation to atomically put
a lease, swap two layouts and close a file. This allows race-free
migrations.

Make the caller responsible for retrying on failure (EBUSY, EAGAIN)
in non-blocking mode.

In blocking mode, allow applications to trigger layout swaps using a
grouplock they already own, to prevent race conditions between the
actual data copy and the layout swap. Updated lfs accordingly. File
leases are also taken in blocking mode, so that lfs migrate can issue
a warning if an application attempts to open a file that is being
migrated and gets blocked.

Timestamps (atime/mtime) are set from userland, after the layout swap
is performed, to prevent conflicts with the grouplock.

lli_trunc_sem is taken/released in the vvp_io layer, under the DLM
lock. This re-ordering fixes the original issue between truncate and
migrate.

no offset and we can only test page aligned IO, this patch changed

Release lmv_init_mutex once the new target is added
into lmv_tgt_desc, so lmv_obd_connect will not be
serialized.

New target should be allowed to added to fld client

error messages in this process.

8bcaef9266 staging: lustre: ptlrpc: mbits is sent within ptlrpc_body
ptlrpc is using rq_xid as matchbits of bulk data, which means it
has to change rq_xid for bulk resend to avoid several bulk data
landing into the same buffer from different resends.

This patch uses one of reserved __u64 of ptlrpc_body to transfer
mbits to peer, matchbits is now separated from xid. With this change,
ptlrpc can keep rq_xid unchanged on resend, it only updates matchbits
for bulk data.

This protocol change is only applied if both sides of connection have
OBD_CONNECT_BULK_MBITS, otherwise, ptlrpc still uses old approach and
update xid while resending bulk.

bb371b952a staging: lustre: llite: tar restore fails for HSM released files.
If you create a file, archive and release it, it keeps only a
link and all information in xattr. If you tar the file
with --xattr you will store the same striping information and link
information in the tar. If you delete the file, the file and archive
state does not make sense. Now if you restore the file using tar
with xattr having the RELEASED flag turned on, then it is not correct
because this is a new file. Hence ignoring the HSM xattr and masking
out the "RELEASED" flag for the files, which are not archived.

43eb3b3344 staging: lustre: ptlrpc: Move IT_* definitions to lustre_idl.h
Put IT_* definitions into an enum, as they're sent over the wire,
adjust calls, print statements, etc. to use the new enum.
