8d6da6575f misc: pvpanic: introduce events device attribue
Suggested by Paolo & Greg, add 'events' device attribute that can be
used to limit which capabilities the driver uses.

Finally, the pvpanic guest driver works by the limitation of both
device capability and user setting.

487709fa1b misc: pvpanic: introduce device capability
According to pvpanic spec:

The guest should determine pvpanic capability by RDPT, so initialize
capability during device probing. There is no need to register panic
notifier callback function if no events supported.

Before sending event to host side, check capability firstly.

Suggested by Greg KH, use sysfs to expose capability to user space,
also add new sysfs attribute in document.

ASoC: soc-component: add snd_soc_component_read/write_field()
It's often the case that we would write or read a particular field
in register. With the current soc_component apis, reading a particular
field in register would involve first read the register and then
perform shift operations.

Ex:
to read from a field mask of 0xf0

	val = snd_soc_component_read(component, reg);
	field = ((val & 0xf0) >> 0x4);

This is sometimes prone to errors and code become less readable!

With this new api we could just do
	field = snd_soc_component_read_field(component, reg, 0xf0);

this makes it bit simple, easy to write and less error prone!

This also applies to writing!

There are various places in kernel which provides such field interfaces
however soc_component seems to be missing this.

This patch is inspired by FIELD_GET/FIELD_PREP macros in include/linux/bitfield.h

ASoC: SOF: Intel: hda: enable DMI L1 for D0i3-compatible streams
DMI L1 entry is currently disabled whenever any capture stream is
opened to prevent xruns during pause/release. But, in
order to maximise power savings for the wake-on-voice usecase,
DMI L1 entry should be enabled for D0i3-compatible capture streams.
Introduce a new field, flags in struct sof_intel_hda_stream
that stores whether a stream is dmi_l1_compatible. All playback streams,
and D0i3-compatible capture streams are DMI L1 compatible.

Commit 507d664450 ("arm64: mm: Remove unused header file") removed
a bunch of apparently "unused" header inclusions from our mm/mmap.c
implementation, but in doing so introduced the following warning when
building with W=1:

dc2b3e5cbc mtd: phram: use div_u64_rem to stop overwrite len in phram_setup
We now support user to set erase page size, and use do_div between len
and erase size to determine the reasonableness for the erase size.
However, do_div is a macro and will overwrite the value of len. Which
results a mtd device with unexcepted size. Fix it by use div_u64_rem.

b2de3643c5 media: cx25821: Fix a bug when reallocating some dma memory
This function looks like a realloc.

However, if 'risc->cpu != NULL', the memory will be freed, but never
reallocated with the bigger 'size'.
Explicitly set 'risc->cpu' to NULL, so that the reallocation is
correctly performed a few lines below.

The wrappers in include/linux/pci-dma-compat.h should go away.

The patch has been generated with the coccinelle script below and has been
hand modified to replace GFP_ with a correct flag.
It has been compile tested.

When memory is allocated in 'saa7164_buffer_alloc()' GFP_KERNEL can be used
because this function is already using this flag just a few lines above.

spi: hisi-sfc-v3xx: add address mode check
The address mode is either 3 or 4 for the controller, which is configured
by the firmware and cannot be modified in the OS driver. Get the
firmware configuration and add address mode check in the .supports_op()
to block invalid operations.

ASoC: SOF: allow soundwire use desc->default_fw_filename
The old code always uses sof_fw_filename in struct snd_soc_acpi_mach
as the firmware name. However, firmware name should depend on the platform
instead of the machine. For example, different machines may use the same
soundwire link topology, but they are using the different firmware. In this
case, it's hard to determine in struct snd_soc_acpi_mach which firmware it
should use.

ASoC: siu: Fix build error by a wrong const prefix
A const prefix was put wrongly in the middle at the code refactoring
commit 932eaf7c79 ("ASoC: sh: siu_pcm: remove snd_pcm_ops"), which
leads to a build error as:
  sound/soc/sh/siu_pcm.c:546:8: error: expected '{' before 'const'

Also, another inconsistency is that the declaration of siu_component
misses the const prefix.

This patch corrects both failures.

8ba59e9dee misc: pti: Remove driver for deprecated platform
Intel Moorestown and Medfield are quite old Intel Atom based
32-bit platforms, which were in limited use in some Android phones,
tablets and consumer electronics more than eight years ago.

There are no bugs or problems ever reported outside from Intel
for breaking any of that platforms for years. It seems no real
users exists who run more or less fresh kernel on it. The commit
05f4434bc1 ("ASoC: Intel: remove mfld_machine") also in align
with this theory.

Due to above and to reduce a burden of supporting outdated drivers
we remove the support of outdated platforms completely.

f21ae3b100 iommu/mediatek: Gather iova in iommu_unmap to achieve tlb sync once
In current iommu_unmap, this code is:

	iommu_iotlb_gather_init(&iotlb_gather);
	ret = __iommu_unmap(domain, iova, size, &iotlb_gather);
	iommu_iotlb_sync(domain, &iotlb_gather);

We could gather the whole iova range in __iommu_unmap, and then do tlb
synchronization in the iommu_iotlb_sync.

This patch implement this, Gather the range in mtk_iommu_unmap.
then iommu_iotlb_sync call tlb synchronization for the gathered iova range.
we don't call iommu_iotlb_gather_add_page since our tlb synchronization
could be regardless of granule size.

In this way, gather->start is impossible ULONG_MAX, remove the checking.

This patch aims to do tlb synchronization *once* in the iommu_unmap.

862c3715de iommu: Switch gather->end to the inclusive end
Currently gather->end is "unsigned long" which may be overflow in
arch32 in the corner case: 0xfff00000 + 0x100000(iova + size).
Although it doesn't affect the size(end - start), it affects the checking
"gather->end < end"

This patch changes this "end" to the real end address
(end = start + size - 1). Correspondingly, update the length to
"end - start + 1".

a1df829ead ACPI/IORT: Do not blindly trust DMA masks from firmware
Address issue observed on real world system with suboptimal IORT table
where DMA masks of PCI devices would get set to 0 as result.

iort_dma_setup() would query the root complex'/named component IORT
entry for a DMA mask, and use that over the one the device has been
configured with earlier.

Ideally we want to use the minimum mask of what the IORT contains for
the root complex and what the device was configured with.

4f2a81f3a8 speakup: Reference synth from tty and tty from synth
We do not actually need speakup_tty and spk_ttyio_synth global
variables, the synth can store the pointer to the tty, and the tty
ldisc_data can store the pointer to the synth.

Along the way, we can clench the initialization of the synth and the
creation of the tty, so that tty is never NULL. Even if the device
disappears (e.g. USB unplug), the tty structure will still be there,
and we automatically stop speakup in the spk_ttyio_out error handler
but keep tty until the user cleans things up.

As a result, this simplifies locking a lot.

1daafea411 s390/crypto: improve retry logic in case of master key change
A master key change on a CCA card may cause an immediately
following request to derive an protected key from a secure
key to fail with error condition 8/2290. The recommendation
from firmware is to retry with 1 second sleep.

So now the low level cca functions return -EAGAIN when this
error condition is seen and the paes retry function will
evaluate the return value. Seeing EAGAIN and running in
process context results in trying to sleep for 1 s now.

e1bff843cd s390/pci: remove superfluous zdev->zbus check
Checking zdev->zbus for NULL in __zpci_event_availability() is
superfluous as it can never be NULL at this point. While harmless this
check causes smatch warnings because we later access zdev->zbus with
only having checked zdev != NULL which is sufficient.

The reason zdev->zbus can never be NULL is since with zdev != NULL given
we know the zdev came from get_zdev_by_fid() and thus the zpci_list.
Now on first glance at zpci_create_device() one may assume that there is
a window where the zdev is in the list without a zdev, however this
window can't overlap with __zpci_event_availability() as
zpci_create_device() either runs on the same kthread as part of
availability events, or during the initial CLP List PCI at which point
the __zpci_event_availability() is not yet called as zPCI is not yet
initialized.
