c7ead2abd2 qtnfmac: implement scan timeout
Userspace tools may hang on scan in the case when scan completion event
is not returned by firmware. This patch implements the scan timeout
to avoid such situation.

97883695d5 qtnfmac: implement cfg80211 channel_switch handler
This patch implements cfg80211 channel_switch handler enabling CSA
channel-switch procedure.

Driver performs only basic validation of the requested new channel
and then sends command to firmware. Beacon IEs are not sent since
beacon update is handled by firmware.

34f1145b2c qtnfmac: move current channel info from vif to mac
Wireless cfg80211 core supplies channel settings in cfg80211_ap_settings
structure for each BSS in multiple BSS configuration. On the other hand
all the virtual interfaces on one radio are using the same PHY settings
including channel.

Move chandef structure from vif to mac structure in order to mantain
the only instance of cfg80211_chan_def structure in qtnf_wmac
rather than its multiple copies in qtnf_vif.

4dd07d2b58 qtnfmac: updates for regulatory support
On startup driver obtains regulatory rules from firmware and
enables them during wiphy registration. Later on regulatory
domain change can be requested by host. In this case firmware
is notified about the upcoming changes. If the change is valid,
then firmware updates hardware channel configuration and host
driver receives updated channel info for each band.

1d9b168d8e rtlwifi: Fix fallback firmware loading
Commit f70e4df2b3 ("rtlwifi: Add code to read new versions of
firmware") added code to load an old firmware file if the new one is
not available.  Unfortunately that code is never reached because
request_firmware_nowait() does not wait for the firmware to show up
and returns 0 even if the file is not there.

Use the existing fallback mechanism introduced by commit 62009b7f12
("rtlwifi: rtl8192cu: Add new firmware") instead.

fc81bab5ee rtlwifi: rtl_pci_probe: Fix fail path of _rtl_pci_find_adapter
_rtl_pci_find_adapter fail path will jump to label fail3 for
unsupported adapter types.

However, on course for fail3 there will be call rtl_deinit_core
before rtl_init_core.

For the inclusion of checking pci_iounmap this fail can be moved to
fail2.

77d964e66c mlxsw: spectrum_router: Refresh offload indication upon group refresh
Now that we provide offload indication using the nexthop's flags we must
refresh the offload indication whenever the offload state within the
group changes.

This didn't matter until now, as offload indication was provided using
the FIB info flags and multipath routes were marked as offloaded as long
as one of the nexthops was offloaded.

1353ee7073 mlxsw: spectrum_router: Don't check state when refreshing offload indication
Previous patch removed the reliance on the counter in the FIB info to
set the offload indication, so we no longer need to keep an offload
state on each FIB entry and can just set or unset the RTNH_F_OFFLOAD
flag in each nexthop.

This is also necessary because we're going to need to refresh the
offload indication whenever the nexthop group associated with the FIB
entry is refreshed. Current check would prevent us from marking a newly
resolved nexthop as offloaded if the FIB entry is already marked as
offloaded.

In a similar fashion to previous patch, use the nexthop flags to provide
offload indication instead of the FIB info's flags.

In case a nexthop in a multipath route can't be offloaded (gateway's MAC
can't be resolved, for example), then its offload flag isn't set.

63e701c15c rocker: Provide offload indication using nexthop flags
We want to stop using the FIB info's flags to provide the offlaod
indication and instead do that on a per-nexthop basis.

Convert rocker to do just that. It only supports one nexthop per-route,
so conversion is simple.

0c195567a8 netvsc: transparent VF management
This patch implements transparent fail over from synthetic NIC to
SR-IOV virtual function NIC in Hyper-V environment. It is a better
alternative to using bonding as is done now. Instead, the receive and
transmit fail over is done internally inside the driver.

Using bonding driver has lots of issues because it depends on the
script being run early enough in the boot process and with sufficient
information to make the association. This patch moves all that
functionality into the kernel.

The file /sys/devices/pci000.../sriov_totalvfs is showing a wrong value.
Fix it by calling pci_sriov_set_totalvfs() to set the total number of VFs
available after calculations for the number of PF and VF queues are made.

aa6c16c43b net: bcmgenet: drop COMPILE_TEST dependency
The last patch added the dependency on 'OF && HAS_IOMEM' but left
COMPILE_TEST as an alternative, which kind of defeats the purpose
of adding the dependency, we still get randconfig build warnings:

warning: (NET_DSA_BCM_SF2 && BCMGENET) selects MDIO_BCM_UNIMAC which has unmet direct dependencies (NETDEVICES && MDIO_BUS && HAS_IOMEM && OF_MDIO)

For compile-testing purposes, we don't really need this anyway,
as CONFIG_OF can be enabled on all architectures, and HAS_IOMEM
is present on all architectures we do meaningful compile-testing on
(the exception being arch/um).

This makes both OF and HAS_IOMEM hard dependencies.

The DSA switch operations for EEE are only meant to configure a port's
MAC EEE settings. The port's PHY EEE settings are accessed by the DSA
layer and must be made available via a proper PHY driver.

In order to reduce this confusion, remove the phy_device argument from
the .set_eee operation.

a2444ab83e net: dsa: qca8k: do not cache unneeded EEE fields
The qca8k driver is currently caching a bitfield of the supported member
of a ethtool_eee private structure, which is unused.

Only the eee_enabled field of the private ethtool_eee copy is updated,
thus using p->advertised and p->lp_advertised is also erroneous.

Remove the usage of these private ethtool_eee members and only rely on
phy_ethtool_get_eee to assign the eee_active member.

The qca8k obviously copied code from the sf2 driver as how to set EEE:

    if (e->eee_enabled) {
        p->eee_enabled = qca8k_eee_init(ds, port, phydev);
        if (!p->eee_enabled)
            ret = -EOPNOTSUPP;
    }

But it did not use the same logic for the EEE init routine, which is
"Returns 0 if EEE was not enabled, or 1 otherwise". This results in
returning -EOPNOTSUPP on success and caching EEE enabled on failure.

This patch fixes the returned value of qca8k_eee_init.

fbf3d034f2 ravb: add workaround for clock when resuming with WoL enabled
The renesas-cpg-mssr clock driver are not yet aware of PSCI sleep where
power is cut to the SoC. When resuming from this state with WoL enabled
the enable count of the ravb clock is 1 and the clock driver thinks the
clock is already on when PM core enables the clock and increments the
enable count to 2. This will result in the ravb driver failing to talk
to the hardware since the module clock is off. Work around this by
forcing the enable count to 0 and then back to 2 when resuming with WoL
enabled.

This workaround should be reverted once the renesas-cpg-mssr clock
driver becomes aware of this PSCI sleep behavior.

3e3d647715 ravb: add wake-on-lan support via magic packet
WoL is enabled in the suspend callback by setting MagicPacket detection
and disabling all interrupts expect MagicPacket. In the resume path the
driver needs to reset the hardware to rearm the WoL logic, this prevents
the driver from simply restoring the registers and to take advantage of
that ravb was not suspended to reduce resume time. To reset the
hardware the driver closes the device, sets it in reset mode and reopens
the device just like it would do in a normal suspend/resume scenario
without WoL enabled, but it both closes and opens the device in the
resume callback since the device needs to be reset for WoL to work.

One quirk needed for WoL is that the module clock needs to be prevented
from being switched off by Runtime PM. To keep the clock alive the
suspend callback need to call clk_enable() directly to increase the
usage count of the clock. Then when Runtime PM decreases the clock usage
count it won't reach 0 and be switched off.

42c03844e9 net-next: mediatek: add support for MediaTek MT7622 SoC
This patch adds the driver for ethernet controller on MT7622 SoC. It has
the similar handling logic as the previously MT7623 does, but there are
additions against with MT7623 SoC, the shared SGMII given for the dual
GMACs and including 5-ports 10/100 embedded switch support (ESW) as the
GMAC1 option, thus more clocks consumers for the extra feature are
introduced here. So for ease portability and maintenance, those
differences all are being kept inside the platform data as other drivers
usually do. Currently testing successfully is done with those patches for
the conditions such as GMAC2 with IP1001 PHY via RGMII and GMAC1/2 with
RTL8211F PHY via SGMII.

d197358b75 iwlwifi: mvm: rename p2p-specific sta functions to include p2p in the names
The iwl_mvm_add_bcast_sta() and the iwl_mvm_rm_bcast_sta() functions
are only called in P2P flows.  Add _p2p_ to the function names to make
this explicit.

960f864b7b iwlwifi: mvm: require AP_LINK_PS for TVQM
Since the TXQ timer freeze code will not properly handle the
large TVQM queue numbers, warn if we get into that code when
we have TVQM. Also, just to catch this earlier, warn if the
firmware image doesn't support AP_LINK_PS but we're running
on HW using TVQM.

f2e66c8df0 iwlwifi: implement fseq version mismatch warning
During init, the FW checks whether the FSEQ value matches what it
expects.  If it doesn't match, we print a warning to let integrators
clearly know that something is wrong.  This can happen if another core
(i.e. not WiFi) has updated the FSEQ version.  This notification is
only sent by the FW in production, for development firmwares, an
assertion is triggered instead.

09856582bf iwlwifi: mvm: refactor beacon template command code
We currently support 3 different versions of the beacon template
command and the code does some tricks in order to reuse what is
possible across these versions.  But it is a bit complicated to read
and soon there will be one more variation that the driver needs
implement, which would complicate it even further.

Refactor the way we send beacon template commands, which increases the
code size a bit, but makes it much easier to read.

There are two workarounds because RSS is currently broken on A000
devices due to firmware issues, but checking for the new TX API

d172a5eff6 iwlwifi: reorganize firmware API
Apart from DVM, all firmware uses the same base API, and there's
code outside iwlmvm that needs to interact with it. Reflect this
in the source better and reorganize the firmware API to a new
fw/api/ directory.

While at it, split the already pretty large fw-api.h file into a
number of smaller files, going from almost 3k lines in there to
a maximum number of lines less than 1k.

ddab82821f ppp: Fix a scheduling-while-atomic bug in del_chan
The PPTP set the pptp_sock_destruct as the sock's sk_destruct, it would
trigger this bug when __sk_free is invoked in atomic context, because of
the call path pptp_sock_destruct->del_chan->synchronize_rcu.

Now move the synchronize_rcu to pptp_release from del_chan. This is the
only one case which would free the sock and need the synchronize_rcu.

The following is the panic I met with kernel 3.3.8, but this issue should
exist in current kernel too according to the codes.

1daa8790d0 virtio_net: fix truesize for mergeable buffers
Seth Forshee noticed a performance degradation with some workloads.
This turns out to be due to packet drops.  Euan Kemp noticed that this
is because we drop all packets where length exceeds the truesize, but
for some packets we add in extra memory without updating the truesize.
This in turn was kept around unchanged from ab7db91705 ("virtio-net:
auto-tune mergeable rx buffer size for improved performance").  That
commit had an internal reason not to account for the extra space: not
enough bits to do it.  No longer true so let's account for the allocated
length exactly.

7ad813f208 net: phy: Correctly process PHY_HALTED in phy_stop_machine()
Marc reported that he was not getting the PHY library adjust_link()
callback function to run when calling phy_stop() + phy_disconnect()
which does not indeed happen because we set the state machine to
PHY_HALTED but we don't get to run it to process this state past that
point.

Fix this with a synchronous call to phy_state_machine() in order to have
the state machine actually act on PHY_HALTED, set the PHY device's link
down, turn the network device's carrier off and finally call the
adjust_link() function.

9a4e796970 net: bcmgenet: utilize generic Broadcom UniMAC MDIO controller driver
Update the GENET driver to register an UniMAC MDIO bus controller for
the GENET internal MDIO bus, update the platform data code to attach the
PHY to the correct MDIO bus controller.

The Device Tree portion of the code is mostly left unmodified since the
lookup/binding is done via phandles and Device Tree nodes which are much
more flexible in locating and binding PHYs to their respective MDIO bus
controllers.

In preparation for having the bcmgenet driver migrate over the
mdio-bcm-unimac driver, add a platform data structure which allows
passing integrating specific details like bus name, wait function to

We also define what the platform device name contract is by defining
UNIMAC_MDIO_DRV_NAME and moving it to the platform_data header.

d782f7c935 net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: create unique bus names
In preparation for having multiple GENET instances in a system (up to
3), make sure that we do include the bus instance number in the name of
the MDIO bus such that we change it from "unimac-mdio" to
"unimac-mdio-0" for instance.

So far, the only user of this driver is using Device Tree, which uses a
lookup/parenting based technique to map PHY devices to their respective
MDIO bus controllers, hence causing no additional changes.

fbbeefdd21 net: fec: Allow reception of frames bigger than 1522 bytes
The FEC Receive Control Register has a 14 bit field indicating the
longest frame that may be received. It is being set to 1522. Frames
longer than this are discarded, but counted as being in error.

When using DSA, frames from the switch has an additional header,
either 4 or 8 bytes if a Marvell switch is used. Thus a full MTU frame
of 1522 bytes received by the switch on a port becomes 1530 bytes when
passed to the host via the FEC interface.

Change the maximum receive size to 2048 - 64, where 64 is the maximum
rx_alignment applied on the receive buffer for AVB capable FEC
cores. Use this value also for the maximum receive buffer size. The
driver is already allocating a receive SKB of 2048 bytes, so this
change should not have any significant effects.

Tested on imx51, imx6, vf610.

9558df3a82 net: fec: Issue error for missing but expected PHY
If the PHY is missing but expected, e.g. because of a typ0 in the dt
file, it is not possible to open the interface. ip link returns:

RTNETLINK answers: No such device

It is not very obvious what the problem is. Add a netdev_err() in this
case to make it easier to debug the issue.

500268e9f2 net: thunderx: Fix BGX transmit stall due to underflow
For SGMII/RGMII/QSGMII interfaces when physical link goes down
while traffic is high is resulting in underflow condition being set
on that specific BGX's LMAC. Which assets a backpresure and VNIC stops
transmitting packets.

This is due to BGX being disabled in link status change callback while
packet is in transit. This patch fixes this issue by not disabling BGX
but instead just disables packet Rx and Tx.

184 on little endian systems and 0 on big endian ones.

185ffc1948 ipw2100: don't return positive values to PCI probe on error
Causes the PCI stack to complain, and then eventually call the
PCI remove function, which ipw2100 is not expecting.  It then
tries to unregister an already-released netdev and other nasty
things, leading to a panic.

2f47150ab3 mwifiex: pcie: disable device DMA before unmapping/freeing buffers
In testing the mwifiex reset code path, I've noticed KASAN complaining
about some "overwritten poison values" in our RX buffer descriptors.
Because KASAN didn't notice this at the time of a CPU write, this seems
to suggest that the device is writing to this memory.

This makes a little sense, because when resetting, we don't necessarily
expect the device to be responsive, so we don't have a chance to disable
everything cleanly.

We can at least take the precaution of disabling DMA for the device
though, and in my testing that seems to clear up this particular issue.

This patch reorders the removal path so that we disable the device
*before* releasing our last PCIe buffers, and it clears/sets the bus
master feature from the PCI device when resetting.

Along the way, remove the insufficient (and confusing) error path in
mwifiex_pcie_up_dev() (it doesn't unwind things well enough, and it
doesn't propagate its errors upward anyway).

The card_reset() implementation should be setting our state flags and
cancelling commands for us (i.e., in mwifiex_shutdown_drv()), so let's
not do it here.

Also, this debugfs file is useful for testing and debugging the reset
feature, so we shouldn't do extra preparatory steps here, as that might
cause different reset behavior, which could either cause new bugs or
paper over existing ones that this debug feature should otherwise help
us catch.

After removing the interrupt loop in commit 5d5ddb5e0d ("mwifiex:
pcie: don't loop/retry interrupt status checks"), there is practically
zero difference between mwifiex_process_pcie_int() (which handled legacy
PCI interrupts and MSI interrupts) and mwifiex_process_msix_int() (which
handled MSI-X interrupts). Let's add the one relevant line to
mwifiex_process_pcie_int() and kill the copy-and-paste.
