a4e63bce14 RDMA/odp: Ensure the mm is still alive before creating an implicit child
Registration of a mmu_notifier requires the caller to hold a mmget() on
the mm as registration is not permitted to race with exit_mmap(). There is
a BUG_ON inside the mmu_notifier to guard against this.

Normally creating a umem is done against current which implicitly holds
the mmget(), however an implicit ODP child is created from a pagefault
work queue and is not guaranteed to have a mmget().

Call mmget() around this registration and abort faulting if the MM has
gone to exit_mmap().

Before the patch below the notifier was registered when the implicit ODP
parent was created, so there was no chance to register a notifier outside
of current.

dca0b44957 regulator: Use driver_deferred_probe_timeout for regulator_init_complete_work
The regulator_init_complete_work logic defers the cleanup for an
arbitrary 30 seconds of time to allow modules loaded by userland
to start.

This arbitrary timeout is similar to the
driver_deferred_probe_timeout value, and its been suggested we
align these so users have a method to extend the timeouts as
needed.

So this patch changes the logic to use the
driver_deferred_probe_timeout value for the delay value if it
is set (using a delay of 0 if it is not).

64c775fb4b driver core: Rename deferred_probe_timeout and make it global
Since other subsystems (like regulator) have similar arbitrary
timeouts for how long they try to resolve driver dependencies,
rename deferred_probe_timeout to driver_deferred_probe_timeout
and set it as global, so it can be shared.

0e9f8d09d2 driver core: Remove driver_deferred_probe_check_state_continue()
Now that driver_deferred_probe_check_state() works better, and
we've converted the only user of
driver_deferred_probe_check_state_continue() we can simply
remove it and simplify some of the logic.

e2cec7d685 driver core: Set deferred_probe_timeout to a longer default if CONFIG_MODULES is set
When using modules, its common for the modules not to be loaded
until quite late by userland. With the current code,
driver_deferred_probe_check_state() will stop returning
EPROBE_DEFER after late_initcall, which can cause module
dependency resolution to fail after that.

So allow a longer window of 30 seconds (picked somewhat
arbitrarily, but influenced by the similar regulator core
timeout value) in the case where modules are enabled.

c8c43cee29 driver core: Fix driver_deferred_probe_check_state() logic
driver_deferred_probe_check_state() has some uninituitive behavior.

* From boot to late_initcall, it returns -EPROBE_DEFER

* From late_initcall to the deferred_probe_timeout (if set)
  it returns -ENODEV

* If the deferred_probe_timeout it set, after it fires, it
  returns -ETIMEDOUT

This is a bit confusing, as its useful to have the function
return -EPROBE_DEFER while the timeout is still running. This
behavior has resulted in the somwhat duplicative
driver_deferred_probe_check_state_continue() function being
added.

Thus this patch tries to improve the logic, so that it behaves
as such:

* If late_initcall has passed, and modules are not enabled
  it returns -ENODEV

* If modules are enabled and deferred_probe_timeout is set,
  it returns -EPROBE_DEFER until the timeout, afterwhich it
  returns -ETIMEDOUT.

* In all other cases, it returns -EPROBE_DEFER

This will make the deferred_probe_timeout value much more
functional, and will allow us to consolidate the
driver_deferred_probe_check_state() and
driver_deferred_probe_check_state_continue() logic in a later
patch.

8375e74f2b driver core: Add fw_devlink kernel commandline option
fwnode_operations.add_links allows creating device links from
information provided by firmware.

fwnode_operations.add_links is currently implemented only by
OF/devicetree code and a specific case of efi. However, there's nothing
preventing ACPI or other firmware types from implementing it.

The OF implementation is currently controlled by a kernel commandline
parameter called of_devlink.

Since this feature is generic isn't limited to OF, add a generic
fw_devlink kernel commandline parameter to control this feature across
firmware types.

A previous patch 03324507e6 ("driver core: Allow
fwnode_operations.add_links to differentiate errors") forgot to update
all call sites to fwnode_operations.add_links. This patch fixes that.

Legend:
-> Denotes RHS is an optional/potential supplier for LHS
=> Denotes RHS is a mandatory supplier for LHS

Example:

Device A => Device X
Device A -> Device Y

Before this patch:
1. Device A is added.
2. Device A is marked as waiting for mandatory suppliers
3. Device X is added
4. Device A is left marked as waiting for mandatory suppliers

Step 4 is wrong since all mandatory suppliers of Device A have been
added.

After this patch:
1. Device A is added.
2. Device A is marked as waiting for mandatory suppliers
3. Device X is added
4. Device A is no longer considered as waiting for mandatory suppliers

This is the correct behavior.

regulator: stm32-vrefbuf: fix a possible overshoot when re-enabling
There maybe an overshoot, when disabling, then re-enabling vrefbuf
too quickly. VREFBUF is used by ADC/DAC on some boards. When re-enabling
too quickly, an overshoot on the reference voltage make the conversions
inaccurate for a short period of time.
- Don't put the VREFBUF in HiZ when disabling, to force an active
discharge.
- Enforce a 1ms OFF/ON delay

This reverts commit ff57c65138.

With the commit ff57c65138 ("drm: kirin: Fix for hikey620
display offset problem") we added support for handling LDI
overflows by resetting the hardware.

However, its been observed that when we do hit the LDI overflow
condition, the irq seems to be screaming, and we do nothing but
stream:
  [drm:ade_irq_handler [kirin_drm]] *ERROR* LDI underflow!
over and over to the screen

I've tried a few appraoches to avoid this, but none has yet
been successful and the cure here is worse then the original
disease, so revert this for now.

ASoC: stm32: sai: manage rebind issue
The commit e894efef9a ("ASoC: core: add support to card rebind")
allows to rebind the sound card after a rebind of one of its component.
With this commit, the sound card is actually rebound,
but may be no more functional. The following problems have been seen
with STM32 SAI driver.

1) DMA channel is not requested:

With the sound card rebind the simplified call sequence is:
stm32_sai_sub_probe
	snd_soc_register_component
		snd_soc_try_rebind_card
			snd_soc_instantiate_card
	devm_snd_dmaengine_pcm_register

The problem occurs because the pcm must be registered,
before snd_soc_instantiate_card() is called.

Modify SAI driver, to change the call sequence as follows:
stm32_sai_sub_probe
	devm_snd_dmaengine_pcm_register
	snd_soc_register_component
		snd_soc_try_rebind_card

2) DMA channel is not released:

dma_release_channel() is not called when
devm_dmaengine_pcm_release() is executed.
This occurs because SND_DMAENGINE_PCM_DRV_NAME component,
has already been released through devm_component_release().

devm_dmaengine_pcm_release() should be called before
devm_component_release() to avoid this problem.

Call snd_dmaengine_pcm_unregister() and snd_soc_unregister_component()
explicitly from SAI driver, to have the right sequence.

21eb93f432 driver core: Call sync_state() even if supplier has no consumers
The initial patch that added sync_state() support didn't handle the case
where a supplier has no consumers. This was because when a device is
successfully bound with a driver, only its suppliers were checked to see
if they are eligible to get a sync_state(). This is not sufficient for
devices that have no consumers but still need to do device state clean
up. So fix this.

As we have pinned the timeline (using tl->active_count), we can safely
drop the tl->mutex as we wait for what we believe to be the final
request on that timeline. This is useful for ensuring that we do not
block the engine heartbeat by hogging the kernel_context's timeline on a
dead GPU.

zpci_map_resource() and zpci_setup_resources() default to using the
mio_wb address as the resource's start address. This means users of the
mapping, which includes most drivers, will get write combining on PCI
Stores. This may lead to problems when drivers expect write through
behavior when not using an explicit ioremap_wc().

582b4e5540 s390/mm: fix panic in gup_fast on large pud
On s390 there currently is no implementation of pud_write(). That was ok
as long as we had our own implementation of get_user_pages_fast() which
checked for pud protection by testing the bit directly w/o using
pud_write(). The other callers of pud_write() are not reachable on s390.

After commit 1a42010cdc ("s390/mm: convert to the generic
get_user_pages_fast code") we use the generic get_user_pages_fast(), which
does call pud_write() in pud_access_permitted() for FOLL_WRITE access on
a large pud. Without an s390 specific pud_write(), the generic version is
called, which contains a BUG() statement to remind us that we don't have a
proper implementation. This results in a kernel panic.

Fix this by providing an implementation of pud_write().

dad2aff3e8 usb: dwc3: gadget: Update chain bit correctly when using sg list
If scatter-gather operation is allowed, a large USB request is split
into multiple TRBs. For preparing TRBs for sg list, driver iterates
over the list and creates TRB for each sg and mark the chain bit to
false for the last sg. The current IOMMU driver is clubbing the list
of sgs which shares a page boundary into one and giving it to USB driver.
With this the number of sgs mapped it not equal to the the number of sgs
passed. Because of this USB driver is not marking the chain bit to false
since it couldn't iterate to the last sg. This patch addresses this issue
by marking the chain bit to false if it is the last mapped sg.

At a practical level, this patch resolves USB transfer stalls
seen with adb on dwc3 based db845c, pixel3 and other qcom
hardware after functionfs gadget added scatter-gather support
around v4.20.

Current driver has 240 (USB2.0) and 2048 (USB3.0) as max_sectors,
e.g., /sys/bus/scsi/devices/0:0:0:0/max_sectors

If data access times out, driver error handling will issue a port
reset.
Sometimes Samsung Fit (090C:1000) flash disk will not respond to
later Set Address or Get Descriptor command.

Adding this quirk to limit max_sectors to 64 sectors to avoid issue
occurring.

f06947f275 usb: usb251xb: fix regulator probe and error handling
Commit 4d7201cda2 ("usb: usb251xb: add vdd supply support") didn't
covered the non-DT use-case and so the regualtor_enable() call during
probe will fail on those platforms. Also the commit didn't handled the
error case correctly.

Move devm_regulator_get() out of usb251xb_get_ofdata() to address the
1st issue. This can be done without worries because devm_regulator_get()
handles the non-DT use-case too. Add devm_add_action_or_reset() to
address the 2nd bug.

4bf2dd6513 usb: cdns3: gadget: toggle cycle bit before reset endpoint
If there are TRBs pending during reset endpoint operation, the
DMA will advance after reset operation, but it isn't expected,
since the data is not yet available (For OUT, the data is not
yet available). After the data is ready, there won't be any
interrupt since the EP_TRADDR already points to next TRB entry
and doorbell is not set.

To fix it, it toggles cycle bit before reset operation, and restores
it after reset, it could avoid unexpected DMA advance due to
cycle bit is for software during the endpoint reset operation.
