94574c9488 KVM: arm/arm64: vgic: Add distributor and redistributor access
VGICv3 Distributor and Redistributor registers are accessed using
KVM_DEV_ARM_VGIC_GRP_DIST_REGS and KVM_DEV_ARM_VGIC_GRP_REDIST_REGS
with KVM_SET_DEVICE_ATTR and KVM_GET_DEVICE_ATTR ioctls.
These registers are accessed as 32-bit and cpu mpidr
value passed along with register offset is used to identify the
cpu for redistributor registers access.

The version of VGIC v3 specification is defined here
Documentation/virtual/kvm/devices/arm-vgic-v3.txt

Also update arch/arm/include/uapi/asm/kvm.h to compile for
AArch32 mode.

ed79c9d34f ARM: put types.h in uapi
Due to the way kbuild works, this header was unintentionally exported
back in 2013 when it was created, despite it not being in a uapi/
directory. This is very non-intuitive behaviour by Kbuild.

However, we've had this include exported to userland for almost four
years, and searching google for "ARM types.h __UINTPTR_TYPE__" gives
no hint that anyone has complained about it. So, let's make it
officially exported in this state.

96a8fae0fe ARM: convert to generated system call tables
Convert ARM to use a similar mechanism to x86 to generate the unistd.h
system call numbers and the various kernel system call tables. This
means that rather than having to edit three places (asm/unistd.h for
the total number of system calls, uapi/asm/unistd.h for the system call
numbers, and arch/arm/kernel/calls.S for the call table) we have only
one place to edit, making the process much more simple.

The scripts have knowledge of the table padding requirements, so there's
no need to worry about __NR_syscalls not fitting within the immediate
constant field of ALU instructions anymore.

acda5430be ARM: KVM: Support vgic-v3
This patch allows to build and use vgic-v3 in 32-bit mode.

Unfortunately, it can not be split in several steps without extra
stubs to keep patches independent and bisectable. For instance,
virt/kvm/arm/vgic/vgic-v3.c uses function from vgic-v3-sr.c, handling
access to GICv3 cpu interface from the guest requires vgic_v3.vgic_sre
to be already defined.

It is how support has been done:

* handle SGI requests from the guest

* report configured SRE on access to GICv3 cpu interface from the guest

* required vgic-v3 macros are provided via uapi.h

* static keys are used to select GIC backend

* to make vgic-v3 build KVM_ARM_VGIC_V3 guard is removed along with
  the static inlines

fd1d0ddf2a KVM: arm/arm64: check IRQ number on userland injection
When userland injects a SPI via the KVM_IRQ_LINE ioctl we currently
only check it against a fixed limit, which historically is set
to 127. With the new dynamic IRQ allocation the effective limit may
actually be smaller (64).
So when now a malicious or buggy userland injects a SPI in that
range, we spill over on our VGIC bitmaps and bytemaps memory.
I could trigger a host kernel NULL pointer dereference with current
mainline by injecting some bogus IRQ number from a hacked kvmtool:
-----------------
....
DEBUG: kvm_vgic_inject_irq(kvm, cpu=0, irq=114, level=1)
DEBUG: vgic_update_irq_pending(kvm, cpu=0, irq=114, level=1)
DEBUG: IRQ #114 still in the game, writing to bytemap now...

So this patch fixes this by checking the SPI number against the
actual limit. Also we remove the former legacy hard limit of
127 in the ioctl code.

bb0fd7ab09 Merge branch 'for-linus' of git://ftp.arm.linux.org.uk/~rmk/linux-arm
Pull ARM updates from Russell King:
"Included in this update are both some long term fixes and some new
  features.

  Fixes:

   - An integer overflow in the calculation of ELF_ET_DYN_BASE.

   - Avoiding OOMs for high-order IOMMU allocations

   - SMP requires the data cache to be enabled for synchronisation
primitives to work, so prevent the CPU_DCACHE_DISABLE option being
     visible on SMP builds.

   - A bug going back 10+ years in the noMMU ARM94* CPU support code,
where it corrupts registers. Found by folk getting Linux running
     on their cameras.

   - Versatile Express needs an errata workaround enabled for CPU
     hot-unplug to work.

  Features:

   - Clean up module linker by handling out of range relocations
separately from relocation cases we don't handle.

   - Fix a long term bug in the pci_mmap_page_range() code, which we
hope won't impact userspace (we hope there's no users of the
     existing broken interface.)

   - Don't map DMA coherent allocations when we don't have a MMU.

   - Drop experimental status for SMP_ON_UP.

   - Warn when DT doesn't specify ePAPR mandatory cache properties.

   - Add documentation concerning how we find the start of physical
memory for AUTO_ZRELADDR kernels, detailing why we have chosen the
mask and the implications of changing it.

   - Updates from Ard Biesheuvel to address some issues with large
kernels (such as allyesconfig) failing to link.

   - Allow hibernation to work on modern (ARMv7) CPUs - this appears to
have never worked in the past on these CPUs.

   - Enable IRQ_SHOW_LEVEL, which changes the /proc/interrupts output
format (hopefully without userspace breaking... let's hope that if
it causes someone a problem, they tell us.)

   - Fix tegra-ahb DT offsets.

   - Rework ARM errata 643719 code (and ARMv7 flush_cache_louis()/
flush_dcache_all()) code to be more efficient, and enable this
errata workaround by default for ARMv7+SMP CPUs. This complements
     the Versatile Express fix above.

   - Rework ARMv7 context code for errata 430973, so that only Cortex A8
CPUs are impacted by the branch target buffer flush when this
errata is enabled. Also update the help text to indicate that all
     r1p* A8 CPUs are impacted.

   - Switch ARM to the generic show_mem() implementation, it conveys all
the information which we were already reporting.

   - Prevent slow timer sources being used for udelay() - timers running
at less than 1MHz are not useful for this, and can cause udelay()
to return immediately, without any wait. Using such a slow timer
     is silly.

   - VDSO support for 32-bit ARM, mainly for gettimeofday() using the
     ARM architected timer.

   - Perf support for Scorpion performance monitoring units"

vdso semantic conflict fixed up as per linux-next.

1713ce7c43 ARM: 8329/1: miscellaneous vdso infrastructure, preparation
Define the layout of the data structure shared between kernel and
userspace.

Track the vdso address in the mm_context; needed for communicating
AT_SYSINFO_EHDR to the ELF loader.

Add declarations for arm_install_vdso; implementation is in a
following patch.

Define AT_SYSINFO_EHDR, and, if CONFIG_VDSO=y, report the vdso shared
object address via the ELF auxiliary vector.

Note - this adds the AT_SYSINFO_EHDR in a new user-visible header
asm/auxvec.h; this is consistent with other architectures.

174178fed3 KVM: arm/arm64: add irqfd support
This patch enables irqfd on arm/arm64.

Both irqfd and resamplefd are supported. Injection is implemented
in vgic.c without routing.

This patch enables CONFIG_HAVE_KVM_EVENTFD and CONFIG_HAVE_KVM_IRQFD.

KVM_CAP_IRQFD is now advertised. KVM_CAP_IRQFD_RESAMPLE capability
automatically is advertised as soon as CONFIG_HAVE_KVM_IRQFD is set.

Irqfd injection is restricted to SPI. The rationale behind not
supporting PPI irqfd injection is that any device using a PPI would
be a private-to-the-CPU device (timer for instance), so its state
would have to be context-switched along with the VCPU and would
require in-kernel wiring anyhow. It is not a relevant use case for
irqfds.

065c003482 KVM: arm/arm64: vgic: add init entry to VGIC KVM device
Since the advent of VGIC dynamic initialization, this latter is
initialized quite late on the first vcpu run or "on-demand", when
injecting an IRQ or when the guest sets its registers.

This initialization could be initiated explicitly much earlier
by the users-space, as soon as it has provided the requested
dimensioning parameters.

This patch adds a new entry to the VGIC KVM device that allows
the user to manually request the VGIC init:
- a new KVM_DEV_ARM_VGIC_GRP_CTRL group is introduced.
- Its first attribute is KVM_DEV_ARM_VGIC_CTRL_INIT

98047888bb arm/arm64: KVM: Support KVM_CAP_READONLY_MEM
When userspace loads code and data in a read-only memory regions, KVM
needs to be able to handle this on arm and arm64. Specifically this is
used when running code directly from a read-only flash device; the
common scenario is a UEFI blob loaded with the -bios option in QEMU.

Note that the MMIO exit on writes to a read-only memory is ABI and can
be used to emulate block-erase style flash devices.

7d0f84aae9 ARM/ARM64: KVM: Add base for PSCI v0.2 emulation
Currently, the in-kernel PSCI emulation provides PSCI v0.1 interface to

By default, ARM/ARM64 KVM will always provide PSCI v0.1 interface for
keeping the ABI backward-compatible.

To select PSCI v0.2 interface for VCPUs, the user space (i.e. QEMU or
KVMTOOL) will have to set KVM_ARM_VCPU_PSCI_0_2 feature when doing VCPU

d50dde5a10 sched: Add new scheduler syscalls to support an extended scheduling parameters ABI
Add the syscalls needed for supporting scheduling algorithms
with extended scheduling parameters (e.g., SCHED_DEADLINE).

In general, it makes possible to specify a periodic/sporadic task,
that executes for a given amount of runtime at each instance, and is
scheduled according to the urgency of their own timing constraints,
i.e.:

 - a (maximum/typical) instance execution time,
 - a minimum interval between consecutive instances,
 - a time constraint by which each instance must be completed.

Thus, both the data structure that holds the scheduling parameters of
the tasks and the system calls dealing with it must be extended.
Unfortunately, modifying the existing struct sched_param would break
the ABI and result in potentially serious compatibility issues with
legacy binaries.

For these reasons, this patch:

 - defines the new struct sched_attr, containing all the fields
that are necessary for specifying a task in the computational
   model described above;

 - defines and implements the new scheduling related syscalls that
   manipulate it, i.e., sched_setattr() and sched_getattr().

Syscalls are introduced for x86 (32 and 64 bits) and ARM only, as a
proof of concept and for developing and testing purposes. Making them
available on other architectures is straightforward.

Since no "user" for these new parameters is introduced in this patch,
the implementation of the new system calls is just identical to their
already existing counterpart. Future patches that implement scheduling
policies able to exploit the new data structure must also take care of
modifying the sched_*attr() calls accordingly with their own purposes.

little I can do about this. The problem is caused because these
patches have a dependency on some code in the crypto git tree - I
tried requesting a branch I can pull to resolve these, and all I got
each time from the crypto people was "we'll revert our patches then"
which would only make things worse since I still don't have the
dependent patches. I've no idea what's going on there or how to
resolve that, and since I can't split these patches from the rest of
this pull request, I'm rather stuck with pushing this as-is or
  reverting Ard's patches.

Since it should "come out in the wash" I've left them in - the only
build problems they seem to cause at the moment are with randconfigs,
and since it's a new feature anyway. However, if by -rc1 the
dependencies aren't in, I think it'd be best to revert Ard's patches"

I resolved the perf conflict roughly as per the patch sent by Russell,
but there may be some differences. Any errors are likely mine. Let's
see how the crypto issues work out..

e8c2d99f82 KVM: ARM: Add support for Cortex-A7
This patch adds support for running Cortex-A7 guests on Cortex-A7 hosts.

As Cortex-A7 is architecturally compatible with A15, this patch is largely just
generalising existing code. Areas where 'implementation defined' behaviour
is identical for A7 and A15 is moved to allow it to be used by both cores.

The check to ensure that coprocessor register tables are sorted correctly is
also moved in to 'common' code to avoid each new cpu doing its own check
(and possibly forgetting to do so!)

acfdd4b1f7 ARM: 7791/1: a.out: remove partial a.out support
a.out support on ARM requires that argc, argv and envp are passed in
r0-r2 respectively, which requires hacking load_aout_binary to
prevent argc being clobbered by the return code. Whilst mainline kernels
do set the registers up in start_thread, the aout loader has never
carried the hack in mainline.

Initialising the registers in this way actually goes against the libc
expectations for ELF binaries, where argc, argv and envp are passed on
the stack, with r0 being used to hold a pointer to an exit function for
cleaning up after the dynamic linker if required. If the pointer is
NULL, then it is ignored. When execing an ELF binary, Linux currently
zeroes r0, then sets it to argc and then finally clobbers it with the
return value of the execve syscall, so we actually end up with:

	r0 = 0
	stack[0] = argc
	r1 = stack[1] = argv
	r2 = stack[2] = envp

libc treats r1 and r2 as undefined. The clobbering of r0 by sys_execve
works for user-spawned threads, but when executing an ELF binary from a
kernel thread (via call_usermodehelper), the execve is performed on the
ret_from_fork path, which restores r0 from the saved pt_regs, resulting
in argc being presented to the C library. This has horrible consequences
when the application exits, since we have an exit function registered
using argc, resulting in a jump to hyperspace.

This patch solves the problem by removing the partial a.out support from
arch/arm/ altogether.

a469abd0f8 ARM: elf: add new hwcap for identifying atomic ldrd/strd instructions
CPUs implementing LPAE have atomic ldrd/strd instructions, meaning that
userspace software can avoid having to use the exclusive variants of
these instructions if they wish.

This patch advertises the atomicity of these instructions via the
hwcaps, so userspace can detect this CPU feature.

which triggers a WARN_ON without an implemented read_cpuid_ext.

The branch merges fine into v3.10-rc1 and I'd be happy if you pulled it

the irqchip driver that will go in via Thomas Gleixner and platform
