cb40390b86 drivers/net/ethernet/dec/tulip: remove depends on CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL
The CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL config item has not carried much meaning for a
while now and is almost always enabled by default. As agreed during the
Linux kernel summit, remove it from any "depends on" lines in Kconfigs.

1dd06ae8db drivers/net: fix up function prototypes after __dev* removals
The __dev* removal patches for the network drivers ended up messing up
the function prototypes for a bunch of drivers. This patch fixes all of
them back up to be properly aligned.

Bonus is that this almost removes 100 lines of code, always a nice
surprise.

779c1a8581 tulip: remove __dev* attributes
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev*
markings will be going away.

Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst,

5b896029e9 drivers/net/ethernet/dec/tulip/dmfe.c: fix error return code
The function dmfe_init_one() return 0 for success and negative value
for most of its internal tests failures. There are three exceptions
that are error cases going to err_out_*:. Fore this three cases the
function abort its success execution path, but returns non negative
value, making it dificult for a caller function to notice the error.

This patch fixes the error cases that do not return negative values.

This was found by Coccinelle, but the code change was made by hand.
This patch is not robot generated.

A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is
as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)

// <smpl>
(
if@p1 (\(ret < 0\|ret != 0\))
 { ... return ret; }
|
ret@p1 = 0
)
... when != ret = e1
    when != &ret
*if(...)
{
  ... when != ret = e2
      when forall
 return ret;
}
// </smpl>

6469933605 ethernet: Remove casts to same type
Adding casts of objects to the same type is unnecessary
and confusing for a human reader.

For example, this cast:

        int y;
        int *p = (int *)&y;

I used the coccinelle script below to find and remove these
unnecessary casts. I manually removed the conversions this
script produces of casts with __force, __iomem and __user.

A function in atl1e_main.c was passed a const pointer
when it actually modified elements of the structure.

Change the argument to a non-const pointer.

A function in stmmac needed a __force to avoid a sparse
warning.  Added it.

The driver does not always use the same timing for what looks like
the same operations.

3acf4b5cde uli526x: stop using net_device.{base_addr, irq} and convert to __iomem.
The bulk of the patch comes from the __iomem changes.

- the phy read and write operations were carrying the chip id deep
  down the call chain. Let's waste a pointer and contain the flying
  spaghetti monster.
- phy_{read, write}_1bit only need to access the DCR9 register. The loss
  of generality here should not hurt.
- removed a leftover printk of the EISA era. This is a pure PCI device.

aaba215ca0 MII: fix Kconfig dependencies for MII
MII Kconfig option is apart of the core networking drivers and
by default NET_CORE is enabled so drivers selecting MII will
have MII enabled as well. It was found using the randconfig
option during testing, MII would be selected but NET_CORE
could be disabled. This caused a dependency error.
