fe35a59e16 Staging: remove STAGING_EXCLUDE_BUILD option
Part of the requirement to be in the staging tree is that the code must
build, so let's make it easier for people to build the code to
test/prove this out.

Based on a recommendation from Linus to implement this.

85ab9ee946 Staging: altera: move .h file to proper place

663dd6dcaf Connector: Correctly set the error code in case of success when dispatching receive callbacks
The recent changes to the connector code introduced this bug where even
when a callback was invoked, we would return an error resulting in
double freeing of the skb. This patch fixes this bug.

a4f18ed11a ftrace: Revert 8ab2b7efd ftrace: Remove unnecessary disabling of irqs
Revert the commit that removed the disabling of interrupts around
the initial modifying of mcount callers to nops, and update the comment.

The original comment was outdated and stated that the interrupts were
being disabled to prevent kstop machine, which was required with the
old ftrace daemon, but was no longer the case.

What the comment failed to mention was that interrupts needed to be
disabled to keep interrupts from preempting the modifying of the code
and then executing the code that was partially modified.

Revert the commit and update the comment.

265a5b7ee3 kprobes/trace: Fix kprobe selftest for gcc 4.6
With gcc 4.6, the self test kprobe function:

 kprobe_trace_selftest_target()

is optimized such that kallsyms does not list it. The kprobes
test uses this function to insert a probe and test it. But
it will fail the test if the function is not listed in kallsyms.

Adding a __used annotation keeps the symbol in the kallsyms table.

36cb7cce23 mwifiex: disable transmission buffer aggregation for AMSDU packets
Padding per MSDU will affect the length of next packet and hence
the exact length of next packet is uncertain here.

Also, aggregation of transmission buffer, while downloading the
data to the card, wont gain much on the AMSDU packets as the AMSDU
packets utilizes the transmission buffer space to the maximum
(adapter->tx_buf_size).

fb3c19bc96 mwifiex: adding check for enough space before padding
All MSDUs, except the last one in an AMSDU, should end up at 4
bytes boundary. There is need to check if enough skb_tailroom
space exists before padding the skb.

fcf2176c87 mwifiex: remove list traversal in mwifiex_num_pkts_in_txq
Instead of counting the number of packets in txq
for particular RA list before AMSDU creation,
maintain a counter which will keep track of the
same.

This will reduce some MIPS while generating AMSDU
traffic as we only have to check the counter instead
of traversing through skb list.

f41ccd71d8 mac80211: Stop BA session event from device
Some devices support BT/WLAN co-existence algorigthms.
In order not to harm the system performance and user experience, the device
requests not to allow any RX BA session and tear down existing RX BA sessions
based on system constraints such as periodic BT activity that needs to limit
WLAN activity (eg.SCO or A2DP).
In such cases, the intention is to limit the duration of the RX PPDU and
therefore prevent the peer device to use A-MPDU aggregation.

Adding ieee80211_stop_rx_ba_session() callback
that can be used by the driver to stop existing BA sessions.

Then I ran a ktest.pl config_bisect and it came up with this config
as the problem:

  CONFIG_SLOB

Looking at what is different between SLOB and SLAB and SLUB, I found
that the gfp flags are masked against gfp_allowed_mask in
SLAB and SLUB, but not SLOB.

On boot up, interrupts are disabled and lockdep will warn if some flags
are set in gfp and interrupts are disabled. But these flags are masked
off with the gfp_allowed_mask during boot. Because SLOB does not
mask the flags against gfp_allowed_mask it triggers the warn on.

Adding this mask fixes the bug. I also found that kmem_cache_alloc_node()
was missing both the mask and the lockdep check, and that was added too.

57a27e1d6a nl80211: fix overflow in ssid_len
When one of the SSID's length passed in a scan or sched_scan request
is larger than 255, there will be an overflow in the u8 that is used
to store the length before checking.  This causes the check to fail
and we overrun the buffer when copying the SSID.

Fix this by checking the nl80211 attribute length before copying it to
the struct.

This is a follow up for the previous commit
208c72f4fe, which didn't fix the problem
entirely.

Some ASoC components depend on other ASoC components to provide clocks and
power resources in order to probe() and vice versa for remove().

Allow components to be ordered so that components can be probed() and removed()
in sequences that conform to their dependencies.

Currently pcm_new() passes in 3 arguments :- card, pcm and DAI.

Refactor this to only pass in 1 argument (i.e. the rtd) since struct rtd contains

With the previous patch, we fixed another bug where read_buf was freed
while we still was in n_tty_read. We currently check whether read_buf
is NULL at the start of the function. Add one more check after we wake
up from waiting for input.

92f6fa09bd TTY: ldisc, do not close until there are readers
We restored tty_ldisc_wait_idle in 100eeae2c5 (TTY: restore
tty_ldisc_wait_idle). We used it in the ldisc changing path to fix the
case where there are tasks in n_tty_read waiting for data and somebody
tries to change ldisc.

Similar to the case above, there may be also tasks waiting in
n_tty_read while hangup is performed. As 65b770468e (tty-ldisc: turn
ldisc user count into a proper refcount) removed the wait-until-idle
from all paths, hangup path won't wait for them to disappear either
now. So add it back even to the hangup path.

There is a difference, we need uninterruptible sleep as there is
obviously HUP signal pending. So tty_ldisc_wait_idle now sleeps
without possibility to be interrupted. This is what original
tty_ldisc_wait_idle did. After the wait idle reintroduction
(100eeae2c5), we have had interruptible sleeps for the ldisc changing
path. But as there is a 5s timeout anyway, we don't allow it to be
interrupted from now on. It's not worth the added complexity of
deciding what kind of sleep we want.

Before 65b770468e tty_ldisc_release was called also from
tty_ldisc_release. It is called from tty_release, so I don't think we
need to restore that one.

This is nicely reproducible after constifying the timing when
drivers/tty/n_tty.c is patched as follows ("TTY: ntty, add one more
sanity check" patch is needed to actually see it explode):

9d031d94da drivers:misc: ti-st: fix skipping of change remote baud
Before the incrementing of ptr in skip_change_remote_baud,
it points to cur_action, but the increment is done by
the size of nxt_action instead. This could cause ptr
to not point to a bts_action structure, which is
harmful for the increment of ptr done in download_firmware.
Therefore, the skipping is first done for cur_action.

The id of 0 passed to st_kim_ref() found no device, keeping pdev null,
and causing pdev->dev cause a NULL pointer dereference. After having
st_kim_ref() check for NULL, the st_unregister() function needed to be
updated to handle the case that st_gdata was not set by the
st_kim_ref().

e7328ae184 serial: 8250, increase PASS_LIMIT
With virtual machines like qemu, it's pretty common to see "too much
work for irq4" messages nowadays. This happens when a bunch of output
is printed on the emulated serial console. This is caused by too low
PASS_LIMIT. When ISR loops more than the limit, it spits the message.

I've been using a kernel with doubled the limit and I couldn't see no
problems. Maybe it's time to get rid of the message now?

ae92c1f5e7 TTY: export NR_LDISC and N_* line discipline numbers to user-space
Since commit (4564f9e5: consolidate line discipline number definitions)
the patch moved all line discipline number from a per-architecture termios.h
to a shared one: tty.h. However, prior to this consolidation work, the
line discipline numbers were outside of an ifdef __KERNEL__/endif block
so these numbers used to be exported to user-space.

Since such numbers are kernel ABI anyway, and tty.h is already included
for user- space header processing, just move these relevant defines
outside of the ifdef __KERNEL__/endif block in include/linux/tty.h.

b9b24558f7 parport/serial: add support for Timedia/SUNIX cards to parport_serial
Timedia/SUNIX PCI cards with both serial and parallel ports are
currently supported by 8250_pci and parport_pc individually.  Moving
that support into parport_serial allows using both types of ports at the
same time.

This was successfully tested with a SUNIX 4079T.

7808edcd30 Basic support for Moschip 9900 family I/O chips
Add I/O based support for serial and parallel ports of the following
chips:

Vendor: Moschip (0x9710)

Parts (device IDs)
* 9900 (0x9900)
* 9904 (0x9904
* 9901 (0x9912, also sold as 9912)
* 9922 (0x9922)

On all chips but the 9900, a single port is provided per PCI subdevice
(subvendor-ID 0xA000, subdevice-IDs 0x1000 for serial, 0x2000 for
parallel with proper class codes). In cascading configurations, the
9900 provides two devices per subdevice, with subvendor-ID 0xA000 and
subdevice-IDs 0x30ps where p is the number of parallel ports and s the
number of serial ports.

Basic testing was only done on the serial part of a 9912 to the point
where it can be used for a serial kernel console, and advanced features
are completely untested. It is possible to reduce functionality of the
chips by adding a configuration EEPROM, and the datasheet [1] is
inconsistent w.r.t subdevices in the 4s+2s1p and 2s1p+4s
configurations. The subdevice-ID 0x3012 should likely read 0x3011 with
a serial port in function 3, which would be consistent with the BAR
layouts. For now, the drivers ignore subdevices with ID 0x1000 and no
class code.

The parallel ports are integrated in parport_serial even for purely
parallel parts to reduce the footprint of the patch.

cb01ece3ea 8250: Fix capabilities when changing the port type
When changing the port type, the capabilities flags should be changed
also, otherwise the capabilities will not correspond to the port type,
which make set_sleep() crash on rmmod.

This patch just assign the correct capabilites when the port changes.

470f229754 ARM: SAMSUNG: serial: Fix on handling of one clock source for UART
This patch fixes the way of comparison for handling of two or more
clock sources for UART.

For example, if just only one clock source is defined even though
there are two clock sources for UART, the serial driver does not
set proper clock up. Of course, it is problem.

So this patch changes the condition of comparison to avoid useless
setup clock and adds a flag 'NO_NEED_CHECK_CLKSRC' which means
selection of source clock is not required.

In addition, since the Exynos4210 has only one clock source for UART
this patch adds the flag into its common_init_uarts().

af99d6f003 serial: ioremap warning fix for jsm driver.
I saw a warning about ioremap from the jsm driver on a system which
looked like this:

resource map sanity check conflict: 0xe0200800 0xe02017ff 0xe0200800 0xe0200fff 0000:01:08.0

Turns out the warning is valid.  The jsm driver has been asking to ioremap
0x1000 forever, but in fact only 8 port chips have 0x1000 bytes of memory.
4 port chips have 0x800 and 2 port chips have 0x400 according to the
data sheet.  It makes more sense to map the size of the region rather
than a hard coded value.  If you happen to have the region legitimately
mapped to a base address that is not 4K aligned, ioremap complains
otherwise.

e73a9891b3 usb: renesas_usbhs: add DMAEngine support
USB DMA was installed on "normal DMAC" when SH7724 or older SuperH,
but the "USB-DMAC" was prepared on recent SuperH.
These 2 DMAC have a little bit different behavior.

This patch add DMAEngine code for "normal DMAC",
but it is still using PIO fifo.
The DMA fifo will be formally supported in the future.

You can enable DMA fifo by local fixup
usbhs_fifo_pio_push_handler -> usbhs_fifo_dma_push_handler
usbhs_fifo_pio_pop_handler  -> usbhs_fifo_dma_pop_handler
on usbhsg_ep_enable.

This DMAEngine was tested by g_file_storage on SH7724 Ecovec board
