112a2ab5a7 ASoC: simple-scu-card: tidyup codec daifmt handling method
Current simple-scu-card is handling codec daifmt by using
for_each_child_of_node(), and low-level method.
Let's use of_get_child_by_name() instead it

d12c6216c4 ASoC: rsrc-card: rename rsrc-card to simple-scu-card phase3
rsrc-card which is using DPCM feature was created for Renesas sound.
But not only Renesas, but many SoC can use this driver, because
it is based on simple-card driver.
To use it as more open driver, rsrc-card will be renamed to
simple-scu-card. In order to easy patch review, as 3rd step,
this patch moves rsrc-card driver to generic folder.

64df0e6842 ASoC: rsrc-card: rename rsrc-card to simple-scu-card phase2
rsrc-card which is using DPCM feature was created for Renesas sound.
But not only Renesas, but many SoC can use this driver, because
it is based on simple-card driver.
To use it as more open driver, rsrc-card will be renamed to
simple-scu-card. In order to easy patch review, as 2nd step,
this patch adds new compatible "simple-scu-audio-card";

rcar-card used specific property, not "simple-audio-card",
but it should be now. Actually, rsrc-card is upstreamed driver,
but noone is using it on upstream. The user is only local,
and it is only me. Thus, there is no compatible break by this patch.
This patch uses "simple-audio-card" prefix.
And it removes rcar-card specifix compatible too.

rsrc-card which is using DPCM feature was created for Renesas sound.
But not only Renesas, but many SoC can use this driver, because

a323593830 ASoC: rsrc-card: remove board specific compatible
rsrc-card has board specific compatible (= lager/koelsh), but these were
created as 1st prototype, and it is used in my test environment only.
Now normal user can use generic compatible (= renesas,rsrc-card).
Removing these board specific compatible doesn't breake compatibility.
This patch remove these.

1d9d0c65d9 ASoC: fix W=1 build warnings
We get 1 warning about global functions without a declaration
in the ASoC sub-system when building with W=1:

sound/soc/sh/rcar/core.c:113:6: warning: no previous prototype for 'rsnd_mod_make_sure' [-Wmissing-prototypes]
 void rsnd_mod_make_sure(struct rsnd_mod *mod, enum rsnd_mod_type type)

In this case, the function 'rsnd_mod_make_sure' is declared in rsnd.h file,
but it only valid if the macro DEBUG is claimed.

so the implementation of function 'rsnd_mod_make_sure' need be
held by macro DEBUG.

59ec4b57bc ALSA: hda - Fix headset mic detection problem for two dell machines
One of the machines has ALC255 on it, another one has ALC298 on it.

On the machine with the codec ALC298, it also has the speaker volume
problem, so we add the fixup chained to ALC298_FIXUP_SPK_VOLUME rather
than adding a group of pin definition in the pin quirk table, since
the speak volume problem does not happen on other machines yet.

Eugeniu Rosca
e30129aed4 ALSA: arm: Fix empty menuconfig SND_ARM
commit 3c8f7710c1 ("ASoC: fix broken pxa SoC support") has removed
the SND_ARM dependency from SND_PXA2XX_LIB and SND_PXA2XX_LIB_AC97,
by moving these config entries outside of the "if SND_ARM ... endif"
construct.

However, by placing these 2 symbols right between the SND_ARM
menuconfig definition and the first SND_ARM menu entry, the side
effect is that the SND_ARM menu becomes empty and all the config
entries caught between "if SND_ARM ... endif" no more belong to
menuconfig SND_ARM, but to its parent (menuconfig SND).

Fix this.

9b51fe3efe ALSA: hda - On-board speaker fixup on ACER Veriton
On Acer Veriton machines, codec with subsystem-id 0x1b0a01b8 the port at
0x15 is configured by default as an Internal Speaker (0x90170120).
However, no physical is speaker installed on-board. This patch adds a quirk
which disables the physical connection on this pin.

Since recently we have kernel_read_file_from_path(), and it's doing
the same thing as our own home-baked mod_firmware_load(). Let's use
the official API function and clean up the old code.

4a6baf1b35 ASoC: Updates for v4.8
Not really any framework work this time around (though we have seen one
of the Analog Devices drivers move more to the clock API which is good
to see) but rather a lot of new drivers:

  - Lots of updates for the Intel drivers, mostly board support and bug
fixing, and to the NAU8825 driver.
  - Work on generalizing bits of simple-card to allow more code sharing
with the Renesas rsrc-card (which can't use simple-card due to DPCM).
  - Removal of the Odroid X2 driver due to replacement with simple-card.
  - Support for several new Mediatek platforms and associated boards.
  - New drivers for Allwinner A10, Analog Devices ADAU7002, Broadcom
Cygnus, Cirrus Logic CS35L33 and CS53L30, Maxim MAX8960 and MAX98504,
