bd0419e2a5 perf probe: Check if dwarf_getlocations() is available
If not, tell the user that:

config/Makefile:273: Old libdw.h, finding variables at given 'perf probe' point will not work, install elfutils-devel/libdw-dev >= 0.157

And return -ENOTSUPP in die_get_var_range(), failing features that
need it, like the one pointed out above.

This fixes the build on older systems, such as Ubuntu 12.04.5.

96b9e70b8e perf build: Introduce FEATURES_DUMP make variable
Introducing FEATURES_DUMP make variable to provide features
detection dump file and bypass the feature detection.

The intention is to use this during build tests to skip
repeated features detection, like:

Get feature dump static build into /tmp/fd file:
  $ make feature-dump FEATURE_DUMP_COPY=/tmp/fd LDFLAGS=-static
BUILD: Doing 'make -j4' parallel build

  Auto-detecting system features:

  FEATURE-DUMP file copied into /tmp/fd

Use /tmp/fd to build perf:
  $ make FEATURES_DUMP=/tmp/fd LDFLAGS=-static

1c0ed63239 perf bpf: Add BPF_PROLOGUE config options for further patches
If both LIBBPF and DWARF are detected, it is possible to create prologue
for eBPF programs to help them access kernel data. HAVE_BPF_PROLOGUE and
CONFIG_BPF_PROLOGUE are added as flags for this feature.

PERF_HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET is introduced in commit
63ab024a5b ("perf tools:
regs_query_register_offset() infrastructure"), which indicates that an
architecture supports converting name of a register to its offset in
'struct pt_regs'. Without this support, BPF_PROLOGUE should be turned
off.

ed63f34c02 perf tools: Make perf depend on libbpf
By adding libbpf into perf's Makefile, this patch enables perf to build
libbpf if libelf is found and neither NO_LIBELF nor NO_LIBBPF is set.

The newly introduced code is similar to how libapi and libtraceevent
are wired into Makefile.perf.

MANIFEST is also updated for 'make perf-*-src-pkg'.

Append make_no_libbpf to tools/perf/tests/make.

The 'bpf' feature check is appended into default FEATURE_TESTS and
FEATURE_DISPLAY, so perf will check the API version of bpf in
/path/to/kernel/include/uapi/linux/bpf.h. Which should not fail except
when we are trying to port this code to an old kernel.

Error messages are also updated to notify users about the lack of BPF
support in 'perf record' if libelf is missing or the BPF API check
failed.

tools/lib/bpf is added to TAG_FOLDERS to allow us to navigate libbpf
files when working on perf using tools/perf/tags.

63ab024a5b perf tools: regs_query_register_offset() infrastructure
regs_query_register_offset() is a helper function which converts
register name like "%rax" to offset of a register in 'struct pt_regs',
which is required by BPF prologue generator.

PERF_HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET indicates an architecture
supports converting name of a register to its offset in 'struct

HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET is introduced as the corresponding
CFLAGS of PERF_HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET.

This patch works around the problem by "cleaning" the bindir string

Disabling libbabeltrace check by default and replacing the
NO_LIBBABELTRACE make variable with LIBBABELTRACE.

Users wanting the libbabeltrace feature need to build via:

  $ make LIBBABELTRACE=1

The reason for this is that the libababeltrace interface we use (version
1.3) hasn't been packaged/released yet, thus the failing feature check
only slows down build and confuses other (non CTF) developers.

removed the definition of IS_X86_64 but not all places using it, with

the default lib install directory was 'lib' instead of 'lib64'.

806f0727fa perf build: Move features build output under features directory
Following commit introduced features build dump:
443a70541c perf tools: Output feature detection's gcc output to a file

Moving them into to have code more compact and renaming build dump
files. For each feature 'test-X' new file 'test-X.make.output' is
created and contains the build out. It's created in the same directory
as the feature itself.

97e7a5153e perf build: Disable default check for libbabeltrace
Remove libbabeltrace check from default features set, because the
requested version is not released yet in most distributions. We'll
enable later.

Calling libbabeltrace check manually via feature_check before
$(feature-libbabeltrace) is used.

235504dec1 perf tools: Fix building error for arm64.
Commit b11db6581b ("perf tools: Fix build
error on ARCH=i386/x86_64/sparc64") uses sed on ARCH, which triggers a
bug in sequence of sed expression, where 's/arm.*/arm/' will replace
'arm64' to 'arm', causes arm64 building failure.

This patch prevent 'arm64' to be mached for 'arm.*' case.

19a9df35fe perf build: Fix libbabeltrace detection
Following patch added -Werror for feature builds:

b49f1a4be7 perf tools: Improve feature test debuggability

and exposed a problem in the libbabeltrace feature build, because it was
including wrong header and gcc couldn't find the used symbol definition.

Adding proper header and keeping the old one as it is needed also
(libbabeltrace quirk).
