The plat/regs-iis.h and plat/regs-ac97.h files in the samsung platform
are only needed by the ASoC drivers, so they can be moved into the same
directory, as one more step towards a multiplatform build.

The s3c-fb driver requires header files from the samsung platforms
to find its platform_data definition, but this no longer works on
multiplatform kernels, so let's move the data into a new header
file under include/linux/platform_data.

s3c_rtc_setname() tests for CONFIG_SAMSUNG_DEV_RTC or
CONFIG_PLAT_S3C24XX. But of these two macros only CONFIG_PLAT_S3C24XX
actually exists. Now we can see that s3c_device_rtc is only defined if
either CONFIG_PLAT_S3C24XX or CONFIG_S3C_DEV_RTC are defined. So,
apparently, it was intended to use CONFIG_S3C_DEV_RTC here.

The s3c24xx_init_irq function that was the base for all irq inits
is now only used to initialize the real s3c2410 irqs.
Therefore rename it and also move its declaration from plat/cpu.h
to common.h
The eint declaration is used by the vast majority of the SoCs and
gets therefore placed outside any ifdefs.

A large number of cleanups, all over the platforms. This is dominated
largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the
others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems.
The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point
where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify
the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree
as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically
touch every single platform in the process.
We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here,
with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being
"multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose
their headers to architecture independent code any more.
It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup.
The overall reduction in total code lines is mostly the result of
removing broken and obsolete code.

This patch make the dma dev request operation compatible for both
DT and non-DT cases. It takes the all the arguments required for
dma_request_slave_channel and dma_request_channel. If the driver

Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct,
and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization
function itself.
This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without
having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into
include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init()
function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning
the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at:

Previously, the ASoC 'platform' (PCM/DMA) object was instantiated via a
platform_device. This didn't represent the hardware well, since there
was no separate hardware associated with this platform_device; it was a
virtual device with sole purpose to call snd_soc_register_platform().
This change removes the platform_device completely. Each Samsung DAI now
registers the ASoC 'platform' itself. Machine drivers are adjusted for
the new 'platform' name.

When a device uses GPIO interrupt, its driver assumes that GPIO
should be INPUT mode. However, GPIO of SAMSUNG SoC is sepated to
INPUT mode and INTERRUPT mode. They are set by 0x0 and 0xF in GPIO
control register. If the register is set to INPUT mode, the
interrupt never occur. Therefore, it's necessary to set INTERRUPT
mode instead of INPUT mode when the pin is used for GPIO interrupt.
This patch inserts the bitmap_gpio_int member in struct samsung_
gpio_chip in order to represent use of GPIO interrupt for each pin
and sets the related bit when s5p_register_gpio_interrupt function
is called.

Commit a5238e360b (spi: s3c64xx: move controller information into driver
data) introduced separate device names for the different subtypes of the
spi controller but forgot to set these in the relevant machines.
To fix this introduce a s3c64xx_spi_setname function and populate all
Samsung arches with the correct names. The function resides in a new
header, as the s3c64xx-spi.h contains driver platform data and should
therefore at some later point move out of the Samsung include dir.
Tested on a s3c2416-based machine.

tree source files and the binding documents to add support for new board

The set_level callback in the controller data, which is used to configure
the slave select line, cannot be supported when migrating the driver to
device tree based discovery. Since all the platforms currently use gpio
as the slave select line, this callback can be removed from the
controller data and replaced with call to gpio_set_value in the driver.

With the spi controller hardware configuration moved into the driver data, there
are no more default hardware configuration data that is passed through platform
data. Accordingly, the s3c64xx_spi{0|1|2}_set_platdata functions are adapted to
these changes.

Platform data is used to specify controller hardware specific information
such as the tx/rx fifo level mask and bit offset of rx fifo level. Such
information is not suitable to be supplied from device tree. Instead,
it can be moved into the driver data and removed from platform data.

Here is updating DMA common operation for Samsung SoCs.
Since some DMA client driver such as spi needs to change the configuration
after dma_request() so this branch adds dma_config() can configure DMA
transmit option which is included in dma_request() after that.
Note, according to the changes, needs to update spi and ASoC drivers
for Samsung SoCs and only got the ack from Mark Brown not Grant Likely
and as I know, he is busy for moving. But I think, the spi change has
no problem and it is simple.

While upgrading the kernel on a S3C2412 based board I've noted
that it was impossible to boot the board with a 2.6.32 or upper
kernel. I've tracked down the problem to the EBI virtual memory
mapping that is in conflict with the IO mapping definition in
arch/arm/mach-s3c24xx/s3c2412.c.

worse than they are: the exonys5 init code was refactored in commit

Here is the big USB 3.5-rc1 pull request for the 3.5-rc1 merge window.
It's touches a lot of different parts of the kernel, all USB drivers,
due to some API cleanups (getting rid of the ancient err() macro) and
some changes that are needed for USB 3.0 power management updates.
There are also lots of new drivers, pimarily gadget, but others as well.
We deleted a staging driver, which was nice, and finally dropped the
obsolete usbfs code, which will make Al happy to never have to touch
that again.
There were some build errors in the tree that linux-next found a few
days ago, but those were fixed by the most recent changes (all were due
to us not building with CONFIG_PM disabled.)

A seperate bus_type instance is not required for EXYNOS5. The
existing bus_type instance used with EXYNOS4 is sufficient for
both EXYNOS4 and EXYNOS5. This also solves issue of uninitialized
usage of exynos4_subsys in EXYNOS4 power management code that is
reused for EXYNOS5 also. In addition to that, the existing
exynos4_subsys bus_type is renamed to exynos_subsys to indicate
that it is reused on both EXYNOS4 and EXYNOS5 platforms.

The fout clock of BPLL and MPLL have a selectable source on EXYNOS5250.
The clock options are a fixed divided by 2 clock and the output of the
PLL itself. Add support for these new clock instances.

This pull request is quite big, but mainly because there's a
giant rework of the s3c_hsotg.c driver to make it friendlier
for other users. Samsung Exynos platforms use the DesignWare
Core USB2 IP from Synopsys so it's a bit unfair to have the
driver work for Samsung platforms only. In short, the big
rework is in preparation to make the driver more reusable.
Another big rework in this pull request came from Ido, where
he's removing the redundant pointer for the endpoint descriptor
from the controller driver's own endpoint representation. The
same pointer is available through the generic struct usb_ep
structure.
Also on this pull request is the conversion of a few extra
controller drivers to the new style registration, which allows
multiple controllers to be available on the same platform and
helps remove global pointers from those drivers.
Together with those big changes, there's the usual fixes and cleanups
to gadget drivers. Nothing major.

This pull request is quite big, but mainly because there's a
giant rework of the s3c_hsotg.c driver to make it friendlier
for other users. Samsung Exynos platforms use the DesignWare
Core USB2 IP from Synopsys so it's a bit unfair to have the
driver work for Samsung platforms only. In short, the big
rework is in preparation to make the driver more reusable.
Another big rework in this pull request came from Ido, where
he's removing the redundant pointer for the endpoint descriptor
from the controller driver's own endpoint representation. The
same pointer is available through the generic struct usb_ep
structure.
Also on this pull request is the conversion of a few extra
controller drivers to the new style registration, which allows
multiple controllers to be available on the same platform and
helps remove global pointers from those drivers.
Together with those big changes, there's the usual fixes and cleanups
to gadget drivers. Nothing major.
