GEM object functions deprecate several similar callback interfaces in
struct drm_driver. This patch replaces the per-driver callbacks with
per-instance callbacks in rockchip. The only exception is gem_prime_mmap,
which is non-trivial to convert.

The Documentation/DMA-API-HOWTO.txt states that the dma_map_sg() function
returns the number of the created entries in the DMA address space.
However the subsequent calls to the dma_sync_sg_for_{device,cpu}() and
dma_unmap_sg must be called with the original number of the entries
passed to the dma_map_sg().
struct sg_table is a common structure used for describing a non-contiguous
memory buffer, used commonly in the DRM and graphics subsystems. It
consists of a scatterlist with memory pages and DMA addresses (sgl entry),
as well as the number of scatterlist entries: CPU pages (orig_nents entry)
and DMA mapped pages (nents entry).
It turned out that it was a common mistake to misuse nents and orig_nents
entries, calling DMA-mapping functions with a wrong number of entries or
ignoring the number of mapped entries returned by the dma_map_sg()
function.
To avoid such issues, lets use a common dma-mapping wrappers operating
directly on the struct sg_table objects and use scatterlist page
iterators where possible. This, almost always, hides references to the
nents and orig_nents entries, making the code robust, easier to follow
and copy/paste safe.

Add drm_device argument to drm_prime_pages_to_sg(), so we can
call dma_max_mapping_size() to figure the segment size limit
and call into __sg_alloc_table_from_pages() with the correct
limit.
This fixes virtio-gpu with sev. Possibly it'll fix other bugs
too given that drm seems to totaly ignore segment size limits
so far ...

Using uninitialized_var() is dangerous as it papers over real bugs[1]
(or can in the future), and suppresses unrelated compiler warnings
(e.g. "unused variable"). If the compiler thinks it is uninitialized,
either simply initialize the variable or make compiler changes.
In preparation for removing[2] the[3] macro[4], remove all remaining
needless uses with the following script:

To prepare for making connector creation optional in the driver, pass
the drm_display_info explicitly to dw_hdmi_support_scdc(). The pointer

Replace the drm_connector pointer passed to the .mode_valid() function
with a const drm_display_info pointer, as that's all the function should
need. Use the display info passed to the bridge .mode_valid() operation
instead of retrieving it from the connector, to prepare for make
connector creation optional.

Platform glue drivers for dw_hdmi may need to access device-specific
data from their .mode_valid() implementation. They currently have no
clean way to do so, and one driver hacks around it by accessing the
dev_private data of the drm_device retrieved from the connector.
Add a priv_data void pointer to the dw_hdmi_plat_data structure, and
pass it to the .mode_valid() function.

Compared to its predecessors, the PX30 VOP has a different register layout
for enabling per-pixel alpha. Instead of src_alpha_ctl and dst_alpha_ctl,
there is a single alpha control register. This register takes some fields
from src_alpha_ctl, but with a different layout.
Add support for the required fields to the PX30 VOP window descriptions,
which makes per-pixel-alpha formats behave correctly.

Analogix_dp driver acquires all its resources in the ->bind() callback,
what is a bit against the component driver based approach, where the
driver initialization is split into a probe(), where all resources are
gathered, and a bind(), where all objects are created and a compound
driver is initialized.
Extract all the resource related operations to analogix_dp_probe() and
analogix_dp_remove(), then call them before/after registration of the
device components from the main Exynos DP and Rockchip DP drivers. Also
move the plat_data initialization to the probe() to make it available for
the analogix_dp_probe() function.
This fixes the multiple calls to the bind() of the DRM compound driver
when the DP PHY driver is not yet loaded/probed:

It's (almost, there's some iommu stuff without significance) right
above the drm_dev_put().
This is made possible by a preceeding patch which added a drmm_
cleanup action to drm_mode_config_init(), hence all we need to do to
ensure that drm_mode_config_cleanup() is run on final drm_device
cleanup is check the new error code for _init().
Aside: Another driver with a bit much devm_kzalloc, which should
probably use drmm_kzalloc instead ...

rockchip_drm_endpoint_is_subdriver() may also return error codes.
For example if the target-node is in the disabled state, so no
platform-device is getting created for it.
In that case current code would count that as external rgb device,
which in turn would make probing the rockchip-drm device fail.
So only count the target as rgb device if the function actually
returns 0.

Most bridge drivers create a DRM connector to model the connector at the
output of the bridge. This model is historical and has worked pretty
well so far, but causes several issues:
- It prevents supporting more complex display pipelines where DRM
connector operations are split over multiple components. For instance a
pipeline with a bridge connected to the DDC signals to read EDID data,
and another one connected to the HPD signal to detect connection and
disconnection, will not be possible to support through this model.
- It requires every bridge driver to implement similar connector
handling code, resulting in code duplication.
- It assumes that a bridge will either be wired to a connector or to
another bridge, but doesn't support bridges that can be used in both
positions very well (although there is some ad-hoc support for this in
the analogix_dp bridge driver).
In order to solve these issues, ownership of the connector should be
moved to the display controller driver (where it can be implemented
using helpers provided by the core).
Extend the bridge API to allow disabling connector creation in bridge
drivers as a first step towards the new model. The new flags argument to
the bridge .attach() operation allows instructing the bridge driver to
skip creating a connector. Unconditionally set the new flags argument to
0 for now to keep the existing behaviour, and modify all existing bridge
drivers to return an error when connector creation is not requested as
they don't support this feature yet.

While the common case is that the dsi controller uses an internal dphy,
accessed through the phy registers inside the dsi controller, there is
also the possibility to use a separate dphy from a different vendor.
One such case is the Rockchip px30 that uses a Innosilicon Mipi dphy,
so add the support for handling such a constellation, including the pll
also getting generated inside that external phy.

The timing values for dw-dsi are often dependent on the used display and
according to Philippe Cornu will most likely also depend on the used phy
technology in the soc-specific implementation.
To solve this and allow specific implementations to define them as needed
add a new get_timing callback to phy_ops and call this from the dphy_timing
function to retrieve the necessary values for the specific mode.
Right now this handles the hs2lp + lp2hs where Rockchip SoCs need handling
according to the phy speed, while STM seems to be ok with static values.

During the discussion of patches that enhance the drm_dp_link helpers it
was concluded that these helpers aren't very useful to begin with. Start
pushing the equivalent code into individual drivers to ultimately remove
them.

Add an optional CRTC gamma LUT support, and enable it on RK3288.
This is currently enabled via a separate address resource,
which needs to be specified in the devicetree.
The address resource is required because on some SoCs, such as
RK3288, the LUT address is after the MMU address, and the latter
is supported by a different driver. This prevents the DRM driver
from requesting an entire register space.
The current implementation works for RGB 10-bit tables, as that
is what seems to work on RK3288.

I'm embarassed to say that even though I've touched
vop_crtc_mode_fixup() twice and I swear I tested it, there's still a
stupid glaring bug in it. Specifically, on veyron_minnie (with all
the latest display timings) we want to be setting our pixel clock to
66,666,666.67 Hz and we tell userspace that's what we set, but we're
actually choosing 66,000,000 Hz. This is confirmed by looking at the
clock tree.
The problem is that in drm_display_mode_from_videomode() we convert
from Hz to kHz with:
dmode->clock = vm->pixelclock / 1000;
...and drm_display_mode_from_videomode() is called from panel-simple
when we have an "override_mode" like we do on veyron_minnie. See
commit 123643e5c4 ("ARM: dts: rockchip: Specify
rk3288-veyron-minnie's display timings").
...so when the device tree specifies a clock of 66666667 for the panel
then DRM translates that to 66666000. The clock framework will always
pick a clock that is _lower_ than the one requested, so it will refuse
to pick 66666667 and we'll end up at 66000000.
While we could try to fix drm_display_mode_from_videomode() to round
to the nearest kHz and it would fix our problem, it wouldn't help if
the clock we actually needed was 60,000,001 Hz. We could
alternatively have DRM always round up, but maybe this would break
someone else who already baked in the assumption that DRM rounds down.
Specifically note that clock drivers are not consistent about whether
they round up or round down when you call clk_set_rate(). We know how
Rockchip's clock driver works, but (for instance) you can see that on
most Qualcomm clocks the default is clk_rcg2_ops which rounds up.
Let's solve this by just adding 999 Hz before calling
clk_round_rate(). This should be safe and work everywhere. As
discussed in more detail in comments in the commit, Rockchip's PLLs
are configured in a way that there shouldn't be another PLL setting
that is only a few kHz off so we won't get mixed up.
NOTE: if this is picked to stable, it's probably easiest to first pick
commit 527e4ca3b6 ("drm/rockchip: Base adjustments of the mode based
on prev adjustments") which shouldn't hurt in stable.

Currently the self refresh idle timer is a const set by the crtc. This
is fine if the self refresh entry/exit times are well-known for all
panels used on that crtc. However panels and workloads can vary quite a
bit, and a timeout which works well for one doesn't work well for
another.
In the extreme, if the timeout is too short we could get in a situation
where the self refresh exits are taking so long we queue up a self refresh
entry before the exit commit is even finished.
This patch changes the idle timeout to a moving average of the entry
times + a moving average of exit times + the crtc constant.
This patch was tested on rockchip, with a kevin CrOS panel the idle
delay averages out to about ~235ms (35 entry + 100 exit + 100 const). On
the same board, the bob panel idle delay lands around ~340ms (90 entry
+ 150 exit + 100 const).
WRT the dedicated mutex in self_refresh_data, it would be nice if we
could rely on drm_crtc.mutex to protect the average times, but there are
a few reasons why a separate lock is a better choice:
- We can't rely on drm_crtc.mutex being held if we're doing a nonblocking
commit
- We can't grab drm_crtc.mutex since drm_modeset_lock() doesn't tell us
whether the lock was already held in the acquire context (it eats
-EALREADY), so we can't tell if we should drop it or not
- We don't need such a heavy-handed lock for what we're trying to do,
commit ordering doesn't matter, so a point-of-use lock will be less
contentious

The drm panel bridge creates a connector using a connector type
explicitly passed by the display controller or bridge driver that
instantiates the panel bridge. Now that drm_panel reports its connector
type, we can use it to avoid passing an explicit (and often incorrect)
connector type to drm_panel_bridge_add() and
devm_drm_panel_bridge_add().
Several drivers report incorrect or unknown connector types to
userspace. Reporting a different type may result in a breakage. For that
reason, rename (devm_)drm_panel_bridge_add() to
(devm_)drm_panel_bridge_add_typed(), and add new
(devm_)drm_panel_bridge_add() functions that use the panel connector
type. Update all callers of (devm_)drm_panel_bridge_add() to the _typed
function, they will be converted one by one after testing.

We are about to add a drm_bridge_state that inherits from
drm_private_state which is defined in drm_atomic.h. Problem is,
drm_atomic.h includes drm_crtc.h which in turn includes drm_bridge.h,
leading to "drm_private_state has incomplete type" error.
Let's force all users of the drm_bridge API to explicitly include
drm_bridge.h.

Commit 9a61c54b9b ("drm/rockchip: vop: group vop registers") seems to
have unintentionally changed the defintion of this macro. Since it is
unused, this was not spotted but any attempt to use it results in
compilation errors.
Revert to the previous definition.

In commit fe64ba5c63 ("drm/rockchip: Resume DP early") we moved
resume to be early but left suspend at its normal time. This seems
like it could be OK, but casues problems if a suspend gets interrupted
partway through. The OS only balances matching suspend/resume levels.
...so if suspend was called then resume will be called. If suspend
late was called then resume early will be called. ...but if suspend
was called resume early might not get called. This leads to an
unbalance in the clock enables / disables.
Lets take the simple fix and just move suspend to be late to match.
This makes the PM core take proper care in keeping things balanced.

While touching the list of include files move the
blocks so they follow the common pattern:

In vop_crtc_mode_fixup() we fixup the mode to show what we actually
will be able to achieve. However we should base our adjustments on
any previous adjustments that were made.
As an example, the dw_hdmi driver may wish to make some small
adjustments to clock rates in its atomic_check() function. If it
does, it will update the adjusted_mode. We shouldn't throw away those
adjustments.
NOTE: the version of the dw_hdmi driver upstream doesn't _actually_
make such adjustments, but downstream in Chrome OS it does. It is
plausible that one day we'll figure out how to cleanly make that
happen in an upstream-friendly way, so we should prepare by using the
right mode.

When fixing up the clock in vop_crtc_mode_fixup() we're not doing it
quite correctly. Specifically if we've got the true clock 266666667 Hz,
we'll perform this calculation:
266666667 / 1000 => 266666
Later when we try to set the clock we'll do clk_set_rate(266666 *
1000). The common clock framework won't actually pick the proper clock
in this case since it always wants clocks <= the specified one.
Let's solve this by using DIV_ROUND_UP.

The value stored in the rate field of struct drm_dp_link should
be the actual link-rate and not the bw_code.
Right now the driver stores the code and converts it to the rate.
So fixup the driver to store the rate itself.

Like the RK3328, RK322x SoCs offer a Synopsis DesignWare HDMI transmitter
and an Innosilicon HDMI PHY.
Add a new dw_hdmi_plat_data struct, rk3228_hdmi_drv_data.
Assign a set of mostly generic rk3228_hdmi_phy_ops functions.
Add dw_hdmi_rk3228_setup_hpd() to enable the HDMI HPD and DDC lines.

On Rockchip rk3288-based Chromebooks when you do a suspend/resume
cycle:
1. You lose the ability to detect an HDMI device being plugged in.
2. If you're using the i2c bus built in to dw_hdmi then it stops
working.
Let's call the core dw-hdmi's suspend/resume functions to restore
things.
NOTE: in downstream Chrome OS (based on kernel 3.14) we used the
"late/early" versions of suspend/resume because we found that the VOP
was sometimes resuming before dw_hdmi and then calling into us before
we were fully resumed. For now I have gone back to the normal
suspend/resume because I can't reproduce the problems.

Another round of SPDX header file fixes for 5.2-rc4
These are all more "GPL-2.0-or-later" or "GPL-2.0-only" tags being
added, based on the text in the files. We are slowly chipping away at
the 700+ different ways people tried to write the license text. All of
these were reviewed on the spdx mailing list by a number of different
people.
We now have over 60% of the kernel files covered with SPDX tags:

Files with SPDX: 40392
Files with errors: 0
I think the majority of the "easy" fixups are now done, it's now the
start of the longer-tail of crazy variants to wade through.

In the case of async update, modifications are done in place, i.e. in the
current plane state, so the new_state is prepared and the new_state is
cleaned up (instead of the old_state, unlike what happens in a
normal sync update).
To cleanup the old_fb properly, it needs to be placed in the new_state
in the end of async_update, so cleanup call will unreference the old_fb
correctly.
Also, the previous code had a:

Which was wrong, as the fb were just assigned to be equal, so this if
statement nevers evaluates to true.
Another details is that the function drm_crtc_vblank_get() can only be
called when vop->is_enabled is true, otherwise it has no effect and
trows a WARN_ON().
Calling drm_atomic_set_fb_for_plane() (which get a referent of the new
fb and pus the old fb) is not required, as it is taken care by
drm_mode_cursor_universal() when calling
drm_atomic_helper_update_plane().
