1f9061d27d drivers:net: dma_alloc_coherent: use __GFP_ZERO instead of memset(, 0)
Reduce the number of calls required to alloc
a zeroed block of memory.

Trivially reduces overall object size.

Other changes around these removals
o Neaten call argument alignment
o Remove an unnecessary OOM message after dma_alloc_coherent failure
o Remove unnecessary gfp_t stack variable

722c6f5850 bnx2x: add missing napi deletion in error path
If the hardware initialization fails in bnx2x_nic_load() after adding

I believe these error messages are already logged
on allocation failure by warn_alloc_failed and so

Remove the unnecessary additional error logging.

o Alignment neatening.
o Remove unnecessary casts of dma_alloc_coherent.
o Hoist assigns from ifs.

7c6cdead7c tg3: 5715 does not link up when autoneg off
Commit d13ba512cb ("tg3: Remove
SPEED_UNKNOWN checks") cleaned up the autoneg advertisement by
removing some dead code. One effect of this change was that the
advertisement register would not be updated if autoneg is turned off.

This exposed a bug on the 5715 device w.r.t linking. The 5715 defaults
to advertise only 10Mb Full duplex. But with autoneg disabled, it needs
the configured speed enabled in the advertisement register to link up.

This patch adds the work around to advertise all speeds on the 5715 when
autoneg is disabled.

005a07baa1 bnx2x: Set ethtool ops for vfs
Virtual functions don't have access to HW registers, therefore most ethtool ops
are forbidden to them. Instead of checking in each op whether the device being
driven is a virtual function or a physical function, this patch creates a

the ethtool ops of the driver in case it is driving a virtual function device.

84421b99ce tg3: Update link_up flag for phylib devices
Commit f4a46d1f46 introduced a bug where
the ifconfig stats would remain 0 for phylib devices. This is due to
tp->link_up flag never becoming true causing tg3_periodic_fetch_stats()
to return.

The link_up flag was being updated in tg3_test_and_report_link_chg()
after setting up the phy. This function however, is not called for
phylib devices since the driver does not do the phy setup.

This patch moves the link_up flag update into the common
tg3_link_report() function that gets called for phylib devices as well
for non phylib devices when the link state changes.

To avoid updating link_up twice, we replace tg3_carrier_...() calls that
are followed by tg3_link_report(), with netif_carrier_...(). We can then
remove the unused tg3_carrier_on() function.

5f3347e6e7 bnx2x: Fix intermittent long KR2 link up time
When a KR2 device is connected to a KR link-partner, sometimes it requires
disabling KR2 for the link to come up. To get a KR2 link up later, in case no
base pages are seen, the KR2 is restored. The problem was that some link
partners cleared their advertised BP/NP after around two seconds, causing the
driver to disable/enable KR2 link all the time.
The fix was to wait at least 5 seconds before checking KR2 recovery.

77997ea3f4 tg3: Cleanup firmware parsing code
The current firmware header parsing is complicated due to interpreting it as a
u32 array and accessing header members via array offsets. Add tg3_firmware_hdr
structure to access the firmware fields instead of hardcoding offsets. The same
header format will be used for individual firmware fragments in the 57766.

The fw_hdr and tg3 structures have all the information required for

4153577a8d tg3: Use different macros for pci_chip_rev_id accesses
Upper case macros for various chip attributes are slightly
difficult to read and are a bit out of characterto the other
tg3_<foo> attribute functions.

Convert:

GET_ASIC_REV(tp->pci_chip_rev_id)       -> tg3_asic_rev(tp)
GET_CHIP_REV(tp->pci_chip_rev_id)       -> tg3_chip_rev(tp)

Remove:
GET_METAL_REV(tp->pci_chip_rev_id)      -> tg3_metal_rev(tp) (unused)

Add:
tg3_chip_rev_id(tp) for tp->pci_chip_rev_id so access styles
are similar to tg3_asic_rev and tg3_chip_rev.

These macros are not converted to static inline functions
because gcc (tested with 4.7.2) is currently unable to
optimize the object code it produces the same way and code
is otherwise larger.

d3f677afb8 tg3: Add 57766 device support.
The patch also adds a couple of fixes

 - For the 57766 and non Ax versions of 57765, bootcode needs to setup

Unfortunately, it does not have enough room in the selfboot case (i.e.
devices with no NVRAM). The driver needs to implement this.

 - For performance reasons, the 2k DMA engine mode on the 57766 should
be enabled and dma size limited to 2k for standard sized packets.

4c133c39ae bnx2x: SR-IOV version compatibility bugfix
When posting a message on the bulletin board, the PF calculates crc
over the message and places the result in the message. When the VF
samples the Bulletin Board it copies the message aside and validates
this crc. The length of the message is crucial here and must be the
same in both parties. Since the PF is running in the Hypervisor and
the VF is running in a Vm, they can possibly be of different versions.
As the Bulletin Board is designed to grow forward in future versions,
in the VF the length must not be the size of the message structure
but instead it should be a field in the message itself.

ad9b4359c7 cnic, bnx2x: Add CNIC_DRV_STATE_HANDLES_IRQ to ethdev->drv_state
In INTA mode, cnic and bnx2x share the same IRQ. During chip reset,
for example, cnic will stop servicing IRQs after it has shutdown the
cnic hardware resources. However, the shared IRQ is still active as
bnx2x needs to finish the reset. There is a window when bnx2x does
not know that cnic is no longer handling IRQ and things don't always
work properly.

Add a flag to tell bnx2x that cnic is handling IRQ. The flag is set
before the first cnic IRQ is expected and cleared when no more cnic
IRQs are expected, so there should be no race conditions.

924d75ab3d bnx2x: reorganization and beautification
Slightly changes the bnx2x code without `true' functional changes.
Changes include:
 1. Gathering macros into a single macro when combination is used multiple
    times.
 2. Exporting parts of functions into their own functions.
 3. Return values after if-else instead of only on the else condition
(where current flow would simply return same value later in the code)
 4. Removing some unnecessary code (either dead-code or incorrect conditions)

cbf1de7232 bnx2x: fix GRO parameters
bnx2x does an internal GRO pass but doesn't provide gso_segs, thus
breaking qdisc_pkt_len_init() in case ingress qdisc is used.

We store gso_segs in NAPI_GRO_CB(skb)->count, where tcp_gro_complete()
expects to find the number of aggregated segments.

9969085e7e bnx2x: Added FW GRO bridging support
Since submit 621b4d6 the bnx2x driver support FW GRO.
However, when using the device with GRO enabled in bridging
scenarios throughput is very low, as the bridge expects all
incoming packets to be passed with CHECKSUM_PARTIAL -
a demand which is satisfied by the SW GRO implementation,
but was missed in the bnx2x driver implementation (which returned
CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY).

Now, given that the traffic is supported by FW GRO (TCP/IP),
the bnx2x driver calculates the pseudo checksum by itself,
passing skbs with CHECKSUM_PARTIAL and giving a much better
throughput when receiving GRO traffic.

f9a8f83b04 net: phy: remove flags argument from phy_{attach, connect, connect_direct}
The flags argument of the phy_{attach,connect,connect_direct} functions
is then used to assign a struct phy_device dev_flags with its value.
All callers but the tg3 driver pass the flag 0, which results in the
underlying PHY drivers in drivers/net/phy/ not being able to actually
use any of the flags they would set in dev_flags. This patch gets rid of
the flags argument, and passes phydev->dev_flags to the internal PHY
library call phy_attach_direct() such that drivers which actually modify
a phy device dev_flags get the value preserved for use by the underlying
phy driver.

1ef1d45a9e bnx2x: Allow management traffic after boot from SAN
As part of the previous driver unload flow, whenever bnx2x is
loaded after the UNDI driver it closes all Rx traffic.

To remedy this, management traffic is re-opened once the 'cleaning'
