First round of new device support, features and cleanups for IIO in the 4.11 cycle.
It's shaping to be another fairly busy cycle. Lots more on the way! New device support * ads7950 - new driver supporting ads7950, ads7951, ads7952, ads7953, ads7954, ads7955, ads7956, ads7957, ads7958, ads7959, ads7960, and ads7961 ADCs. * cm3605 - New driver for this light sensor and proximity sensor which is an analog part with some additional digital controls. * hx711 - New driver. Core new stuff * Gravity sensor type. This is a processed datastream in which the device will try to work out which way is down. * Split the buffer.h file into two parts. One provides the interface to 'use' a buffer, the second provides the internals of the buffer functionality as needed by implementations of buffers. - Move documentation inline so as to allow use of private: tag when generating documentation. - Add some utility functions for the few things that are directly done with the buffers. - Stop exporting functions that no-one uses outside of the core code. - Push docs down by the code in the c file where they should have always been. - Fix typo in kernel-doc for buffer. - push down some includes that were previously happening implicitly. - stop enabling the timestamp of the dummy device. iio: accel: st_accel: handle deprecated bindings
The earlier deployed LIS3LV02DL driver had already defined a few DT bindings that need to be supported by the new more generic driver and listed as compatible but deprecated bindings in the documentation. After this we can start to activate the new driver with the old systems where applicable. As part of this enablement: make us depend on the old drivers not being in use so we don't get a kernel with two competing drivers. net: hix5hd2_gmac: fix compatible strings name
The SoC hix5hd2 compatible string has the suffix "-gmac" and
we should not change its compatible string.
So we should name all the compatible string with the suffix "-gmac".
Creating a new name suffix "-gemac" is unnecessary.
We also add another SoC compatible string in dt binding documentation
and describe which generic version the SoC belongs to.

The patches regarding eee-broken-modes was merged before all people involved could find an agreement on the best way to move forward. While we agreed on having a DT property to mark particular modes as broken, the value used for eee-broken-modes mapped the phy register in very direct way. Because of this, the concern is that it could be used to implement configuration policies instead of describing a broken HW. In the end, having a boolean property for each mode seems to be preferred over one bit field value mapping the register (too) directly. This adds support for EPSON TOYOCOM RTC-7301SF/DG which has parallel interface compatible with SRAM. This driver supports basic clock, calendar and alarm functionality. ARM: SoC driver updates for v4.10
Driver updates for ARM SoCs, including a couple of newly added drivers:
- A new driver for the power management controller on TI Keystone
- Support for the prerelease "SCPI" firmware protocol that ended up

kernel, when another driver wants to know the specific chip
it is running on and cannot find out from DT, firmware or hardware.

interface, both in user space and kernel.
- Renesas r8a7743 and r8a7745 gain support for their system controller
- A new checking module for the ARM "PSCI" (not to be confused
with "SCPI" mentioned above) firmware interface.
- A new driver for the Tegra GMI memory interface
- Support for the Tegra firmware interfaces with their
power management controllers
As usual, the updates for the reset controller framework are merged
here, as they tend to touch multiple SoCs as well, including a new

As usual, we queue up a few fixes that don't seem urgent enough to go in through -rc, or that just came a little too late given their size. The zx fixes make the platform finally boot on real hardware, the davinci and imx31 get the DT support working better for some of the machines that are still normally used with classic board files.
