eb5411334c MIPS: loongson64: Drop call to irq_cpu_offline()
Also loongson64 calls irq_cpu_offline(), none of its interrupt
controllers implement the .irq_cpu_offline callback.

It is thus obvious that this call only serves the dubious purpose
of wasting precious CPU cycles by iterating over all interrupts.

Get rid of the call altogether.

4cb6f4df97 irq: mips: simplify do_domain_IRQ()
There's no need fpr arch/mips's do_domain_IRQ() to open-code the NULL
check performed by handle_irq_desc(), nor the resolution of the desc
performed by generic_handle_domain_irq().

Use generic_handle_domain_irq() directly, as this is functioanlly
equivalent and clearer.

There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

bab4ff1edc irq: mips: stop (ab)using handle_domain_irq()
On MIPS, the only user of handle_domain_irq() is octeon_irq_ciu3_ip2(),
which is called from the platform-specific plat_irq_dispatch() function
invoked from the early assembly code.

No other irqchip relevant to arch/mips uses handle_domain_irq():

* No other plat_irq_dispatch() function transitively calls
  handle_domain_irq().

* No other vectored IRQ dispatch function registered with
  set_vi_handler() calls handle_domain_irq().

* No chained irqchip handlers call handle_domain_irq(), which makes
  sense as this is meant to only be used by root irqchip handlers.

Currently octeon_irq_ciu3_ip2() passes NULL as the `regs` argument to
handle_domain_irq(), and as handle_domain_irq() will pass this to
set_irq_regs(), any invoked IRQ handlers will erroneously see a NULL
pt_regs if they call get_pt_regs().

Fix this by calling generic_handle_domain_irq() directly, and performing
the necessary irq_{enter,exit}() logic directly in
octeon_irq_ciu3_ip2(). At the same time, deselect HANDLE_DOMAIN_IRQ,
which subsequent patches will remove.

Other than the corrected behaviour of get_pt_regs(), there should be no
functional change as a result of this patch.

bf8bde41d2 MIPS: BMIPS: Remove use of irq_cpu_offline
irq_cpu_offline() is only used by MIPS and we should instead use
irq_migrate_all_off_this_cpu(). This will be helpful in order to remove
drivers/irqchip/irq-bcm7038-l1.c irq_cpu_offline callback which would
have got in the way of making this driver modular.

a68de80f61 entry: rseq: Call rseq_handle_notify_resume() in tracehook_notify_resume()
Invoke rseq_handle_notify_resume() from tracehook_notify_resume() now
that the two function are always called back-to-back by architectures
that have rseq.  The rseq helper is stubbed out for architectures that
don't support rseq, i.e. this is a nop across the board.

Note, tracehook_notify_resume() is horribly named and arguably does not
belong in tracehook.h as literally every line of code in it has nothing
to do with tracing.  But, that's been true since commit a42c6ded82
("move key_repace_session_keyring() into tracehook_notify_resume()")
first usurped tracehook_notify_resume() back in 2012.  Punt cleaning that
mess up to future patches.

No functional change intended.

37cb28ec7d bpf, mips: Validate conditional branch offsets
The conditional branch instructions on MIPS use 18-bit signed offsets
allowing for a branch range of 128 KBytes (backward and forward).
However, this limit is not observed by the cBPF JIT compiler, and so
the JIT compiler emits out-of-range branches when translating certain
cBPF programs. A specific example of such a cBPF program is included in
the "BPF_MAXINSNS: exec all MSH" test from lib/test_bpf.c that executes
anomalous machine code containing incorrect branch offsets under JIT.

Furthermore, this issue can be abused to craft undesirable machine
code, where the control flow is hijacked to execute arbitrary Kernel
code.

The following steps can be used to reproduce the issue:

All users of compat_alloc_user_space() and copy_in_user() have been
removed from the kernel, only a few functions in sparc remain that can be
changed to calling arch_copy_in_user() instead.

a7259df767 memblock: make memblock_find_in_range method private
There are a lot of uses of memblock_find_in_range() along with
memblock_reserve() from the times memblock allocation APIs did not exist.

memblock_find_in_range() is the very core of memblock allocations, so any
future changes to its internal behaviour would mandate updates of all the
users outside memblock.

Replace the calls to memblock_find_in_range() with an equivalent calls to
memblock_phys_alloc() and memblock_phys_alloc_range() and make
memblock_find_in_range() private method of memblock.

This simplifies the callers, ensures that (unlikely) errors in
memblock_reserve() are handled and improves maintainability of
memblock_find_in_range().

f358afc52c mm: remove flush_kernel_dcache_page
flush_kernel_dcache_page is a rather confusing interface that implements a
subset of flush_dcache_page by not being able to properly handle page
cache mapped pages.

The only callers left are in the exec code as all other previous callers
were incorrect as they could have dealt with page cache pages.  Replace
the calls to flush_kernel_dcache_page with calls to flush_dcache_page,
which for all architectures does either exactly the same thing, can
contains one or more of the following:

 1) an optimization to defer the cache flush for page cache pages not
    mapped into userspace
 2) additional flushing for mapped page cache pages if cache aliases
    are possible

  bdflush system call being removed.

  calling do_exit directly is interesting only in that it is nearly the
  most difficult of the incorrect uses of do_exit to remove.

  The change to the seccomp code to simply send a signal instead of
  calling do_coredump directly is a very nice little cleanup made
  possible by realizing the existing signal sending helpers were missing

 The latter one will cause a tiny merge issue with your tree, as there
 was a last-minute fix for this in 5.14 in your tree, but the fixup
 should be "obvious".  If you want me to provide a fixed merge for this,
 please let me know.
 
 Other than those two things, there's only a few small things in here:

4b92d4add5 drivers: base: cacheinfo: Get rid of DEFINE_SMP_CALL_CACHE_FUNCTION()
DEFINE_SMP_CALL_CACHE_FUNCTION() was usefel before the CPU hotplug rework
to ensure that the cache related functions are called on the upcoming CPU
because the notifier itself could run on any online CPU.

The hotplug state machine guarantees that the callbacks are invoked on the
upcoming CPU. So there is no need to have this SMP function call
obfuscation. That indirection was missed when the hotplug notifiers were
converted.

This also solves the problem of ARM64 init_cache_level() invoking ACPI
functions which take a semaphore in that context. That's invalid as SMP
function calls run with interrupts disabled. Running it just from the
callback in context of the CPU hotplug thread solves this.

71f8817c28 MIPS: ingenic: Unconditionally enable clock of CPU #0
Make sure that the PLL that feeds the CPU won't be stopped while the
kernel is running.

This fixes a problem on JZ4760 (and probably others) where under very
specific conditions, the main PLL would be turned OFF when the kernel
was shutting down, causing the shutdown process to fail.

eba54cbb92 MIPS: mscc: ocelot: mark the phy-mode for internal PHY ports
The ocelot driver was converted to phylink, and that expects a valid
phy_interface_t. Without a phy-mode, of_get_phy_mode returns
PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_NA, which is not ideal because phylink rejects that.

The ocelot driver was patched to treat PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_NA as
PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_INTERNAL to work with the broken DT blobs, but we
should fix the device trees and specify the phy-mode too.

0181f6f19c MIPS: mscc: ocelot: disable all switch ports by default
The ocelot switch driver used to ignore ports which do not have a
phy-handle property and not probe those, but this is not quite ok since
it is valid to not have a phy-handle property if there is a fixed-link.

It seems that checking for a phy-handle was a proxy for the proper check
which is for the status, but that doesn't make a lot of sense, since the
ocelot driver already iterates using for_each_available_child_of_node
which skips the disabled ports, so I have no idea.

Anyway, a widespread pattern in device trees is for a SoC dtsi to
disable by default all hardware, and let board dts files enable what is
used. So let's do that and enable only the ports with a phy-handle in
the pcb120 and pcb123 device tree files.

d32524a2d0 MIPS: DTS: Pistachio add missing cpc and cdmm
CPC and CDMM addresses are adjustable and we should tell kernel
how to place them in devicetree.

Note that MACH_PISTACHIO code hardcoded CDMM base to 0x1bdd0000,
however it will collide with GIC address range. As we don't have
any CDMM device on this platform it won't be a problem.
I found another spare range, 0x1bdf0000~0x1be00000 to place CDMM
instead.
