cd198d6dc4 ARM: tegra: init fuse before setting reset handler
CPU reset handler was set before fuse is initialized, but
tegra_cpu_reset_handler_enable() uses tegra_chip_id, which is set by
tegra_init_fuse(). This patch reorders the calls so the CPU reset
handler code does not read an uninitialized variable.

4fde38bb5b ARM: vt8500: add defconfig for v6/v7 chips
Add a single-vendor config for vt8500. We can't enable WM8750 in
multi_v7_defconfig since it's a v6-based device, but it's still valuable
to have an in-tree defconfig that is suitable for the hardware.

This is based on multi_v7_defconfig and can be tweaked over time. It
gets us off the ground for now. Naming it vt8500_v6_v7 similar to i.MX
since there are v5-based vt8500 chips as well.

c9b3a7d227 pinctrl: single: call pcs_soc->rearm() whenever IRQ mask is changed
On OMAPs the IO ring must be rearmed each time the pad wakeup
configuration is changed. So call pcs_soc->rearm() from
pcs_irq_set().

As pinctrl-single is now an interrupt controller in some cases,
we should follow the standards and keep the interrupts enabled
constantly, and not just for wake-up events. The tracking of
runtime vs wake-up interrupts can be handled separately for
the automated runtime PM solution when we have it in the
future.

50bfcf2df2 ASoC: wm8962: Turn on regcache_cache_only before disabling regulator
It's safer to turn on regcache_cache_only before disabling regulator since
the driver will turn off the regcache_cache_only after enabling regulator.

If we remain cache_only false, some command like 'amixer cset' would get
failure if being run before wm8962_resume().

e310718d0e tools/perf/build: Fix feature-libunwind-debug-frame handling
Set feature-libunwind-debug-frame. We don't want it in
CORE_FEATURE_TESTS because it's not the generic case, but we
need to set it in the !feature-libunwind case.

Also, because x86 distributions typically don't have
dwarf_find_debug_frame() unwinding method:

  test-libunwind-debug-frame.c:(.text+0x31): undefined reference to `_Ux86_64_dwarf_find_debug_frame'

Restrict this new API to ARM for the time being.

With this patch test-all.c works again, so repeat perf builds
are  fast again:

32b8544296 ALSA: jack: Unregister input device at disconnection
The recent change in sysfs triggered a kernel WARNING at unloading a
sound driver like

  WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 2247 at fs/sysfs/group.c:214 sysfs_remove_group+0xe8/0xf0()
  sysfs group ffffffff81ab7b20 not found for kobject 'event14'

for each jack instance.  It's because the unregistration of jack input
device is done in dev_free callback, which is called after
snd_card_disconnect().  Since device_unregister(card->card_dev) is
called in snd_card_disconnect(), the whole sysfs entries belonging to
card->card_dev have been already removed recursively.  Thus this
results in a warning as input_unregister_device() yet tries to
unregister the already removed sysfs entry.

For fixing this mess, we need to unregister the jack input device at
dev_disconnect callback so that it's called before unregistering the
card->card_dev.

The new blk-mq code added new instances of __cpuinit usage.
We removed this a couple versions ago; we now want to remove
the compat no-op stubs.  Introducing new users is not what
we want to see at this point in time, as it will break once
the stubs are gone.

62fe318256 KEYS: Fix keyring content gc scanner
Key pointers stored in the keyring are marked in bit 1 to indicate if they
point to a keyring.  We need to strip off this bit before using the pointer
when iterating over the keyring for the purpose of looking for links to garbage
collect.

This means that expirable keyrings aren't correctly expiring because the
checker is seeing their key pointer with 2 added to it.

Since the fix for this involves knowing about the internals of the keyring,
key_gc_keyring() is moved to keyring.c and merged into keyring_gc().

This can be tested by:

	echo 2 >/proc/sys/kernel/keys/gc_delay
	keyctl timeout `keyctl add keyring qwerty "" @s` 2
	cat /proc/keys
	sleep 5; cat /proc/keys

which should see a keyring called "qwerty" appear in the session keyring and
then disappear after it expires, and:

	echo 2 >/proc/sys/kernel/keys/gc_delay
	a=`keyctl get_persistent @s`
	b=`keyctl add keyring 0 "" $a`
	keyctl add user a a $b
	keyctl timeout $b 2
	cat /proc/keys
	sleep 5; cat /proc/keys

which should see a keyring called "0" with a key called "a" in it appear in the
user's persistent keyring (which will be attached to the session keyring) and
then both the "0" keyring and the "a" key should disappear when the "0" keyring
expires.

fc7dc61d9a ASoC: fsl: imx-pcm-fiq: omit fiq counter to avoid harm in unbalanced situations
Unbalanced calls to snd_imx_pcm_trigger() may result in endless
FIQ activity and thus provoke eternal sound. While on the first glance,
the switch statement looks pretty symmetric, the SUSPEND/RESUME
pair is not: the suspend case comes along snd_pcm_suspend_all(),
which for fsl/imx-pcm-fiq is called only at snd_soc_suspend(),
but the resume case originates straight from the SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_RESUME.
This way userland may provoke an unbalanced resume, which might cause
the fiq_enable counter to increase and never return to zero again,
so eventually imx_pcm_fiq is never disabled.

Simply removing the fiq_enable will solve the problem, as long as
one never goes play and capture game simultaneously, but beware
trying both at once, the early TRIGGER_STOP will cut off the other
activity prematurely. So now playing and capturing is scrutinized
separately, instead of by counting.

bb4c5500c9 tools/perf/build: Fix timerfd feature check
'feature_timerfd' is checked all the time and calculated explicitly,
in a serial fashion. Add it to CORE_FEATURE_TESTS which causes it to
be built in parallel, using the newfangled parallel build autodetection
code.

This shaves 137 msecs off the perf build time on my system, which
speeds up the common case cached build by 43%:

Before:

f3db3f4389 ARM: 7885/1: Save/Restore 64-bit TTBR registers on LPAE suspend/resume
LPAE enabled kernels use the 64-bit version of TTBR0 and TTBR1
registers. If we're running an LPAE kernel, fill the upper half
of TTBR0 with 0 because we're setting it to the idmap here (the
idmap is guaranteed to be < 4Gb) and fully restore TTBR1 instead
of just restoring the lower 32 bits. Failure to do so can cause
failures on resume from suspend when these registers are only
half restored.

when this bit is implemented by SoC vendor
(IMP - bit 9 - in L1 page table entry format).
When this bit is not implemented by SoC vendor
it doesn't mean that system has no other way
how to do ECC.
This patch ensures to show this message only when ECC
is requested via cmd line ecc=on and runs on
appropriate ARM core.

139cc2ba74 ARM: 7882/1: mm: fix __phys_to_virt to work with 64 bit phys_addr_t in BE case
Make sure that inline assembler that expects 'r' operand
receives 32 bit value.

Before this fix in case of CONFIG_ARCH_PHYS_ADDR_T_64BIT and
CONFIG_ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT __phys_to_virt function passed 64 bit
value to __pv_stub inline assembler where 'r' operand is
expected. Compiler behavior in such case is not well specified.
It worked in little endian case, but in big endian case
incorrect code was generated, where compiler confused which
part of 64 bit value it needed to modify. For example BE
snippet looked like this:

N:0x80904E08 : MOV      r2,#0
N:0x80904E0C : SUB      r2,r2,#0x81000000

when LE similar code looked like this

N:0x808FCE2C : MOV      r2,r0
N:0x808FCE30 : SUB      r2,r2,#0xc0, 8 ; #0xc0000000

Note 'r0' register is va that have to be translated into phys

To avoid this situation use explicit cast to 'unsigned long',
which explicitly discard upper part of phys address and convert
value to 32 bit. Also add comment so such cast will not be
removed in the future.

7bd40c16cc x86/early quirk: use gen6 stolen detection for VLV

64b8c8e573 net: cdc_ncm: cleanup a type issue in cdc_ncm_setup()
This is harmless but cdc_ncm_setup() returns negative error codes
truncated to u8 values.  There is only one caller and treats all
non-zero returns as errors but doesn't store the the return code.  So
the code works correctly but it's messy and upsets the static checkers.
