8ab9da573d libbpf: Support CO-RE relocations for LDX/ST/STX instructions
Clang patch [0] enables emitting relocatable generic ALU/ALU64 instructions
(i.e, shifts and arithmetic operations), as well as generic load/store
instructions. The former ones are already supported by libbpf as is. This
patch adds further support for load/store instructions. Relocatable field
offset is encoded in BPF instruction's 16-bit offset section and are adjusted
by libbpf based on target kernel BTF.

These Clang changes and corresponding libbpf changes allow for more succinct
generated BPF code by encoding relocatable field reads as a single
ST/LDX/STX instruction. It also enables relocatable access to BPF context.
Previously, if context struct (e.g., __sk_buff) was accessed with CO-RE
relocations (e.g., due to preserve_access_index attribute), it would be
rejected by BPF verifier due to modified context pointer dereference. With
Clang patch, such context accesses are both relocatable and have a fixed
offset from the point of view of BPF verifier.

aea3dee86c Merge branch 'Peer-to-Peer-One-Step-time-stamping'
Richard Cochran says:

====================
Peer to Peer One-Step time stamping

This series adds support for PTP (IEEE 1588) P2P one-step time
stamping along with a driver for a hardware device that supports this.

If the hardware supports p2p one-step, it subtracts the ingress time
stamp value from the Pdelay_Request correction field. The user space
software stack then simply copies the correction field into the
Pdelay_Response, and on transmission the hardware adds the egress time
stamp into the correction field.

This new functionality extends CONFIG_NETWORK_PHY_TIMESTAMPING to
cover MII snooping devices, but it still depends on phylib, just as
that option does. Expanding beyond phylib is not within the scope of
the this series.

User space support is available in the current linuxptp master branch.

- Patch 1 adds phy_device methods for existing time stamping fields.
- Patches 2-5 convert the stack and drivers to the new methods.
- Patch 6 moves code around the dp83640 driver.
- Patches 7-10 add support for MII time stamping in non-PHY devices.
- Patch 11 adds the new P2P 1-step option.
- Patch 12 adds a driver implementing the new option.

Thanks,
Richard

767ff48373 net: Add a layer for non-PHY MII time stamping drivers.
While PHY time stamping drivers can simply attach their interface
directly to the PHY instance, stand alone drivers require support in
order to manage their services. Non-PHY MII time stamping drivers
have a control interface over another bus like I2C, SPI, UART, or via
a memory mapped peripheral. The controller device will be associated
with one or more time stamping channels, each of which sits snoops in
on a MII bus.

This patch provides a glue layer that will enable time stamping

c0cdf2ac4b ata: ahci_brcm: Fix AHCI resources management
The AHCI resources management within ahci_brcm.c is a little
convoluted, largely because it historically had a dedicated clock that
was managed within this file in the downstream tree. Once brough
upstream though, the clock was left to be managed by libahci_platform.c
which is entirely appropriate.

This patch series ensures that the AHCI resources are fetched and
enabled before any register access is done, thus avoiding bus errors on
platforms which clock gate the controller by default.

As a result we need to re-arrange the suspend() and resume() functions
in order to avoid accessing registers after the clocks have been turned
off respectively before the clocks have been turned on. Finally, we can
refactor brcm_ahci_get_portmask() in order to fetch the number of ports
from hpriv->mmio which is now accessible without jumping through hoops
like we used to do.

The commit pointed in the Fixes tag is both old and new enough not to
require major headaches for backporting of this patch.

095e90e080 Merge branch 'hsr-fix-several-bugs-in-hsr-module'
Taehee Yoo says:

====================
hsr: fix several bugs in hsr module

1. The first patch fixes debugfs warning when it's opened when hsr module
is being removed. debugfs file is opened, it tries to hold .owner module,
but it would print warning messages if it couldn't hold .owner module.
In order to avoid the warning message, this patch makes hsr module does
not set .owner. Unsetting .owner is safe because these are protected by
inode_lock().

2. The second patch fixes wrong error handling of hsr_dev_finalize()
a) hsr_dev_finalize() calls debugfs_create_{dir/file} to create debugfs.
it checks NULL pointer but debugfs don't return NULL so it's wrong code.
b) hsr_dev_finalize() calls register_netdevice(). so if it fails after
register_netdevice(), it should call unregister_netdevice().
But it doesn't.
c) debugfs doesn't affect any actual logic of hsr module.
So, the failure of creating of debugfs could be ignored.

3. The third patch adds hsr root debugfs directory.
When hsr interface is created, it creates debugfs directory in
/sys/kernel/debug/<interface name>.
It's a little bit faulty path because if an interface is the same with
another directory name in the same path, it will fail. If hsr root
directory is existing, the possibility of failure of creating debugfs
file will be reduced.

4. The fourth patch adds debugfs rename routine.
debugfs directory name is the same with hsr interface name.
So hsr interface name is changed, debugfs directory name should be
changed too.

5. The fifth patch fixes a race condition in node list add and del.
hsr nodes are protected by RCU and there is no write side lock.
But node insertions and deletions could be being operated concurrently.
So write side locking is needed.

6. The Sixth patch resets network header
Tap routine is enabled, below message will be printed.

[  175.852292][    C3] protocol 88fb is buggy, dev veth0

hsr module doesn't set network header for supervision frame.
But tap routine validates network header.

1d19e2d53e hsr: fix error handling routine in hsr_dev_finalize()
hsr_dev_finalize() is called to create new hsr interface.
There are some wrong error handling codes.

1. wrong checking return value of debugfs_create_{dir/file}.
These function doesn't return NULL. If error occurs in there,
it returns error pointer.
So, it should check error pointer instead of NULL.

2. It doesn't unregister interface if it fails to setup hsr interface.
If it fails to initialize hsr interface after register_netdevice(),
it should call unregister_netdevice().

3. Ignore failure of creation of debugfs
If creating of debugfs dir and file is failed, creating hsr interface
will be failed. But debugfs doesn't affect actual logic of hsr module.
So, ignoring this is more correct and this behavior is more general.

84bb59d773 hsr: avoid debugfs warning message when module is remove
When hsr module is being removed, debugfs_remove() is called to remove
both debugfs directory and file.

When module is being removed, module state is changed to
MODULE_STATE_GOING then exit() is called.
At this moment, module couldn't be held so try_module_get()
will be failed.

debugfs's open() callback tries to hold the module if .owner is existing.
If it fails, warning message is printed.

CPU0				CPU1
delete_module()
    try_stop_module()
    hsr_exit()			open() <-- WARNING
        debugfs_remove()

In order to avoid the warning message, this patch makes hsr module does
not set .owner. Unsetting .owner is safe because these are protected by
inode_lock().

Test commands:
    #SHELL1
    ip link add dummy0 type dummy
    ip link add dummy1 type dummy
    while :
    do
        ip link add hsr0 type hsr slave1 dummy0 slave2 dummy1

8385d756e1 libata: Fix retrieving of active qcs
ata_qc_complete_multiple() is called with a mask of the still active
tags.

mv_sata doesn't have this information directly and instead calculates
the still active tags from the started tags (ap->qc_active) and the
finished tags as (ap->qc_active ^ done_mask)

Since 28361c4036 the hw_tag and tag are no longer the same and the
equation is no longer valid. In ata_exec_internal_sg() ap->qc_active is
initialized as 1ULL << ATA_TAG_INTERNAL, but in hardware tag 0 is
started and this will be in done_mask on completion. ap->qc_active ^
done_mask becomes 0x100000000 ^ 0x1 = 0x100000001 and thus tag 0 used as
the internal tag will never be reported as completed.

This is fixed by introducing ata_qc_get_active() which returns the
active hardware tags and calling it where appropriate.

This is tested on mv_sata, but sata_fsl and sata_nv suffer from the same
problem. There is another case in sata_nv that most likely needs fixing
as well, but this looks a little different, so I wasn't confident enough
to change that.

0b698c838e s390/qeth: fix initialization on old HW
I stumbled over an old OSA model that claims to support DIAG_ASSIST,
but then rejects the cmd to query its DIAG capabilities.

In the old code this was ok, as the returned raw error code was > 0.
Now that we translate the raw codes to errnos, the "rc < 0" causes us
to fail the initialization of the device.

The fix is trivial: don't bail out when the DIAG query fails. Such an
error is not critical, we can still use the device (with a slightly
reduced set of features).

Vnic characteristics and bridgeport settings are mutually exclusive.

68c57bfd52 s390/qeth: fix false reporting of VNIC CHAR config failure
Symptom: Error message "Configuring the VNIC characteristics failed"
in dmesg whenever an OSA interface on z15 is set online.

The VNIC characteristics get re-programmed when setting a L2 device
online. This follows the selected 'wanted' characteristics - with the
exception that the INVISIBLE characteristic unconditionally gets
switched off.

For devices that don't support INVISIBLE (ie. OSA), the resulting
IO failure raises a noisy error message
("Configuring the VNIC characteristics failed").
For IQD, INVISIBLE is off by default anyways.

So don't unnecessarily special-case the INVISIBLE characteristic, and
thereby suppress the misleading error message on OSA devices.

8b5026bc16 s390/qeth: fix qdio teardown after early init error
qeth_l?_set_online() goes through a number of initialization steps, and
on any error uses qeth_l?_stop_card() to tear down the residual state.

The first initialization step is qeth_core_hardsetup_card(). When this
fails after having established a QDIO context on the device
(ie. somewhere after qeth_mpc_initialize()), qeth_l?_stop_card() doesn't
shut down this QDIO context again (since the card state hasn't
progressed from DOWN at this stage).

Even worse, we then call qdio_free() as final teardown step to free the
QDIO data structures - while some of them are still hooked into wider
QDIO infrastructure such as the IRQ list. This is inevitably followed by
use-after-frees and other nastyness.

Fix this by unconditionally calling qeth_qdio_clear_card() to shut down
the QDIO context, and also to halt/clear any pending activity on the
various IO channels.
Remove the naive attempt at handling the teardown in
qeth_mpc_initialize(), it clearly doesn't suffice and we're handling it
properly now in the wider teardown code.

9f6cff995e Merge branch 'Simplify-IPv6-route-offload-API'
Ido Schimmel says:

====================
Simplify IPv6 route offload API

Motivation
==========

This is the IPv6 counterpart of "Simplify IPv4 route offload API" [1].
The aim of this patch set is to simplify the IPv6 route offload API by
making the stack a bit smarter about the notifications it is generating.
This allows driver authors to focus on programming the underlying device
instead of having to duplicate the IPv6 route insertion logic in their
driver, which is error-prone.

Details
=======

Today, whenever an IPv6 route is added or deleted a notification is sent
in the FIB notification chain and it is up to offload drivers to decide
if the route should be programmed to the hardware or not. This is not an
easy task as in hardware routes are keyed by {prefix, prefix length,
table id}, whereas the kernel can store multiple such routes that only
differ in metric / nexthop info.

This series makes sure that only routes that are actually used in the
data path are notified to offload drivers. This greatly simplifies the
work these drivers need to do, as they are now only concerned with
programming the hardware and do not need to replicate the IPv6 route
insertion logic and store multiple identical routes.

The route that is notified is the first route in the IPv6 FIB node,
which represents a single prefix and length in a given table. In case
the route is deleted and there is another route with the same key, a
replace notification is emitted. Otherwise, a delete notification is
emitted.

Unlike IPv4, in IPv6 it is possible to append individual nexthops to an
existing multipath route. Therefore, in addition to the replace and
delete notifications present in IPv4, an append notification is also
used.

Testing
=======

To ensure there is no degradation in route insertion rates, I averaged
the insertion rate of 512k routes (/64 and /128) over 50 runs. Did not
observe any degradation.

Functional tests are available here [2]. They rely on route trap
indication, which is added in a subsequent patch set.

In addition, I have been running syzkaller for the past couple of weeks
with debug options enabled. Did not observe any problems.

caafb2509f ipv6: Remove old route notifications and convert listeners
Now that mlxsw is converted to use the new FIB notifications it is
possible to delete the old ones and use the new replace / append /
delete notifications.

dacad7b34b mlxsw: spectrum_router: Start using new IPv6 route notifications
With the new notifications mlxsw does not need to handle identical
routes itself, as this is taken care of by the core IPv6 code.

Instead, mlxsw only needs to take care of inserting and removing routes
from the device.

Convert mlxsw to use the new IPv6 route notifications and simplify the
code.

0284696b97 ipv6: Handle multipath route deletion notification
When an entire multipath route is deleted, only emit a notification if
it is the first route in the node. Emit a replace notification in case
the last sibling is followed by another route. Otherwise, emit a delete
notification.

d2f0c9b114 ipv6: Handle route deletion notification
For the purpose of route offload, when a single route is deleted, it is
only of interest if it is the first route in the node or if it is
sibling to such a route.

In the first case, distinguish between several possibilities:

1. Route is the last route in the node. Emit a delete notification

2. Route is followed by a non-multipath route. Emit a replace
notification for the non-multipath route.

3. Route is followed by a multipath route. Emit a replace notification
for the multipath route.

In the second case, only emit a delete notification to ensure the route
is no longer used as a valid nexthop.

9c6ecd3cf6 ipv6: Only Replay routes of interest to new listeners
When a new listener is registered to the FIB notification chain it
receives a dump of all the available routes in the system. Instead, make
sure to only replay the IPv6 routes that are actually used in the data
path and are of any interest to the new listener.

This is done by iterating over all the routing tables in the given
namespace, but from each traversed node only the first route ('leaf') is
notified. Multipath routes are notified in a single notification instead
of one for each nexthop.

Add fib6_rt_dump_tmp() to do that. Later on in the patch set it will be
renamed to fib6_rt_dump() instead of the existing one.
