fae43461f8 scsi: target/core: Rework the SPC-2 reservation handling code
Instead of tracking the initiator that established an SPC-2 reservation,
track the session through which the SPC-2 reservation has been
established. This patch does not change any functionality.

ee26724af6 scsi: target: fix unsigned comparision with less than zero
Currently an error return is being assigned to an unsigned size_t varianle
and then checked if the result is less than zero which will always be
false.  Fix this by making ret ssize_t rather than a size_t.

b6cd7f34ba scsi: target: make the pi_prot_format ConfigFS path readable
pi_prot_format conversion to write-only caused userspace breakage. Make the
ConfigFS path readable again and hardcode the "0\n" content, matching
previous output.

54a6f3f6a4 scsi: target: add device vendor_id configfs attribute
The vendor_id attribute will allow for the modification of the T10 Vendor
Identification string returned in inquiry responses. Its value can be
viewed and modified via the ConfigFS path at:

target/core/$backstore/$name/wwn/vendor_id

"LIO-ORG" remains the default value, which is set when the backstore device
is enabled.

b2da4abf26 scsi: target: consistently null-terminate t10_wwn strings
In preparation for supporting user provided vendor strings, add an extra
byte to the vendor, model and revision arrays in struct t10_wwn. This
ensures that the full INQUIRY data can be carried in the arrays along with
a null-terminator.

Change a number of array readers and writers so that they account for
explicit null-termination:

- The pscsi_set_inquiry_info() and emulate_model_alias_store() codepaths
  don't currently explicitly null-terminate; fix this.

- Existing t10_wwn field dumps use for-loops which step over
  null-terminators for right-padding.
  + Use printf with width specifiers instead.

59a206b449 scsi: target: replace fabric_ops.name with fabric_alias
iscsi_target_mod is the only LIO fabric where fabric_ops.name differs from
the fabric_ops.fabric_name string.  fabric_ops.name is used when matching
target/$fabric ConfigFS create paths, so rename it .fabric_alias and
fallback to target/$fabric vs .fabric_name comparison if .fabric_alias
isn't initialised.  iscsi_target_mod is the only fabric module to set
.fabric_alias . All other fabric modules rely on .fabric_name matching and
can drop the duplicate string.

30c7ca9350 scsi: target: drop unnecessary get_fabric_name() accessor from fabric_ops
All fabrics return a const string. In all cases *except* iSCSI the
get_fabric_name() string matches fabric_ops.name.

Both fabric_ops.get_fabric_name() and fabric_ops.name are user-facing, with
the former being used for PR/ALUA state and the latter for ConfigFS
(config/target/$name), so we unfortunately need to keep both strings around
for now.  Replace the useless .get_fabric_name() accessor function with a
const string fabric_name member variable.

6baca7601b scsi: target: drop unused pi_prot_format attribute storage
On write, the pi_prot_format configfs attribute invokes the device
format_prot() callback if present. Read dumps the contents of
se_dev_attrib.pi_prot_format which is always zero.  Make the configfs
attribute write-only, and drop the always zero se_dev_attrib.pi_prot_format
storage.

b49d6f7885 scsi: target: add emulate_pr backstore attr to toggle PR support
The new emulate_pr backstore attribute allows for Persistent Reservation
and SCSI2 RESERVE/RELEASE support to be completely disabled. This can be
useful for scenarios such as:

- Ensuring ATS (Compare & Write) usage on recent VMware ESXi initiators.

- Allowing clustered (e.g. tcm-user) backends to block such requests,
  avoiding the multi-node reservation state propagation.

When explicitly disabled, PR and RESERVE/RELEASE requests receive Invalid
Command Operation Code response sense data.

This just adds a helper function to check if a device is configured and it
converts the target users to use it. The next patch will add a backend
module user so those types of modules do not have to know the lio core
details.

78a6295c71 scsi: target: prefer dbroot of /etc/target over /var/target
The target database root directory, dbroot, has defaulted to /var/target
for a while, but its main client, targetcli-fb, has been moving it to
/etc/target for quite some time. With the plethora of target drivers now
appearing, it has become more difficult to initialize this attribute
before use by any child drivers.

If the directory /etc/target exists, use that as the DB root. Otherwise,
fall back to using /var/target.

The ability to override this dbroot attribute still exists via sysfs.

8dc31ff929 target core: add device action configfs files
This patch adds a new group of files that are to be used to
have the kernel module execution some action. The next patch
will have target_core_user use the group/files to be able to block
a device and to reset its memory buffer used to pass commands
between user/kernel space.

This type of file is different from the existing device attributes
in that they may be write only and when written to they result in
the kernel module executing some function. These need to be
separate from the normal device attributes which get/set device
values so userspace can continue to loop over all the attribs and
get/set them during initialization.

a2db857bf9 target: fix match_token option in target_core_configfs.c
The match_token function does not recognize the option 'l',
so that both the mapped_lun and target_lun parameters
can not be resolved correctly.

And parsed u64-type parameters should use match_u64().

c17d5d5f51 target: export lio pgr/alua support as device attr
Older kernels could crash or hang if the user write/read some ALUA files
with pscsi and tcmu backends. This patch exports if LIO supports
executing PGR and ALUA scsi commands/checks for the se_device, so userspace
can easily test.

3d035237a5 target: fixup error message in target_tg_pt_gp_tg_pt_gp_id_store()
When setting up an ALUA target port group with an invalid ID the
error message

kstrtoul() returned -22 for tg_pt_gp_id

is displayed, which is not really helpful.
Convert it to something sane.
And while we're at it, join the messages onto a single line.

4ec5bf0ea8 target/user: PGR Support
This adds initial PGR support for just TCMU, since tcmu doesn't
have the necessary IT_NEXUS info to process PGR in userspace,
so have those commands be processed in kernel.

HA support is not available yet, we will work on it if this patch
is acceptable.

056e8924a0 tcm: make pi data verification configurable
Currently ramdisk and fileio always perform PI verification
before and after backend IO. This approach is not very flexible.
Because some one may want to postpone this work to other layers in
IO stack. For example if we want to test blk_integrity_profile

d19c4643a5 target: Fix ALUA transition state race between multiple initiators
Multiple threads could be writing to alua_access_state at
the same time, or there could be multiple STPGs in flight
(different initiators sending them or one initiator sending
them to different ports), or a combo of both and the
core_alua_do_transition_tg_pt calls will race with each other.

Because from the last patches we no longer delay running
core_alua_do_transition_tg_pt_work, there does not seem to be
any point in running that in a workqueue. And, we always
wait for it to complete one way or another, so we can sleep
in this code path. So, this patch made over target-pending just adds a
mutex and does the work core_alua_do_transition_tg_pt_work was doing in
core_alua_do_transition_tg_pt.

There is also no need to use an atomic for the
tg_pt_gp_alua_access_state. In core_alua_do_transition_tg_pt we will
test and set it under the transition mutex. And, it is a int/32 bits
so in the other places where it is read, we will never see it partially
updated.

9c28ca4ff8 target: Drop pointless tfo->check_stop_free check
All in-tree fabric drivers provide a tfo->check_stop_free(),
so there is no need to do the extra check within existing
transport_cmd_check_stop_to_fabric() code.

Just to be sure, add a check in target_fabric_tf_ops_check()
to notify any out-of-tree drivers that might be missing it.

22d11759a4 target: make ->shutdown_session optional
Turns out the template and thus many drivers got the return value wrong:
0 means the fabrics driver needs to put a session reference, which no
driver except for the iSCSI target drivers did.  Fortunately none of these
drivers supports explicit Node ACLs, so the bug was harmless.

Even without that only qla2xxx and iscsi every did real work in
shutdown_session, so get rid of the boilerplate code in all other
drivers.

a96e9783e0 target: make target db location configurable
This commit adds the read-write attribute "dbroot",
in the top-level CONFIGFS (core) target directory,
normally /sys/kernel/config/target. This attribute
defaults to "/var/target" but can be changed by
writing a new pathname string to it. Changing this
attribute is only allowed when no fabric drivers
are loaded and the supplied value specifies an
existing directory.

Target modules that care about the target database
root directory will be modified to use this
attribute in a future commit.

1ae1602de0 configfs: switch ->default groups to a linked list
Replace the current NULL-terminated array of default groups with a linked
list.  This gets rid of lots of nasty code to size and/or dynamically
allocate the array.

While we're at it also provide a conveniant helper to remove the default
groups.

9450918293 target: Perform RCU callback barrier before backend/fabric unload
This patch addresses a v4.2-rc1 regression where backend driver
module unload happening immediately after TBO->free_device()
does internal call_rcu(), will currently result in IRQ context
rcu_process_callbacks() use-after-free paging OOPsen.

It adds the missing rcu_barrier() in target_backend_unregister()
to perform an explicit RCU barrier waiting for all RCU callbacks
to complete before releasing target_backend_ops memory, and
allowing TBO->module exit to proceed.

Also, do the same for fabric drivers in target_unregister_template()
to ensure se_deve_entry->rcu_head -> kfree_rcu() callbacks have
completed, before allowing target_core_fabric_ops->owner module
exit to proceed.

adf653f92f target: Subsume se_port + t10_alua_tg_pt_gp_member into se_lun
This patch eliminates all se_port + t10_alua_tg_pt_gp_member usage,
and converts current users to direct se_lun pointer dereference.

This includes the removal of core_export_port(), core_release_port()
core_dev_export() and core_dev_unexport().  Along with conversion
of special case se_lun pointer dereference within PR ALL_TG_PT=1
and ALUA access state transition UNIT_ATTENTION handling.

Also, update core_enable_device_list_for_node() to reference the
new per se_lun->lun_deve_list when creating a new entry, or
replacing an existing one via RCU.

3effdb9094 target: simplify backend attribute implementation
Consolidate the implementation of the backend attributes in a single file
and single function per attribute show/store function instead of splitting
it into multiple functions in multiple files.

Also use the proper strto* helpers for exposed data types, add macros to
implement the store methods for the most common data types and share the
show methods between the two different attribute implementations.

(Fix bogus store_pi_prot_format flag=0 return value - nab)
