These two targets were introduced by commit 13d5fadf45 ("[ARM]
Make 'i' and 'zi' targets work") to short-circuit the dependencies
for 'install' and 'zinstall'.
After that, commit 19514fc665 ('arm, kbuild: make "make install"
not depend on vmlinux') eventually made "(z)install" equivalent to
"(z)i".
It is true that 'i' and 'zi' might be still useful as shorthands
but the original intention had been already lost.
They do not even show up in "make ARCH=arm help", so I hope this
deletion does not have much impact.

Install targets (install, zinstall, uinstall) on arm have a dependency
to vmlinux. This may cause parts of the kernel to be rebuilt during
installation. We must avoid this since this may run as root. Install
targets "ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT MODIFY THE SOURCE TREE." as Linus
emphasized this in:
http://lkml.org/lkml/2013/7/10/600
So on arm and maybe other archs we need the same as for x86:
1648e4f8 x86, kbuild: make "make install" not depend on vmlinux
This patch fixes this for arm. Dependencies are removed and instead a
check to install.sh is added for the files that are needed.
This issue was uncovered by this build error where the -j option is
used in conjunction with install targets:
$ make <makeflags>
$ make <makeflags> zinstall
...
DEPMOD
Usage: .../scripts/depmod.sh /sbin/depmod <kernelrelease>
(INSTALL_MOD_PATH and INSTALL_PATH variables set, so no root perms
required in this case.)
The problem is that zinstall on arm due to its dependency to vmlinux
does a prepare/prepare3 and finally does a forced rewrite of
kernel.release even if it exists already.
Rebuilding kernel.release removes it first and then recreates it. This
might race with another parallel make job running depmod.
So this patch should fix this one too.
Also quoting $(KERNELRELEASE) arg for install.sh as this messes
argument order in case it is empty (which is the case if the kernel
was not built yet).

commit 5f300acd8a
(ARM: 7152/1: distclean: Remove generated .dtb files)
ensured that dtbs were cleaned up when they were in
arch/arm/boot.
However, with the following commit:
commit 499cd82986
(ARM: dt: change .dtb build rules to build in dts directory)
make clean now leaves dtbs in arch/arm/boot/dts/
untouched. Include dts directory so that clean-files rule
from arch/arm/boot/dts/Makefile is invoked when make
clean is done.

We have 'install' and 'zinstall' for installing Image and zImage
kernels, so add 'uinstall' to complete the set.
This allows developers to have a ~/bin/installkernel script which (eg)
copies the kernel to the tftp server automatically once the kernel
has built, resulting in a better workflow.

The code which makes up the zImage header intends to leave a
32-byte gap followed by a branch to the real entry point, a magic
number, and a word containing the absolute entry point address.
This gets messed up with with CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL, because the
size of the initial padding NOPs changes.
Instead, the header can be made fully compatible by restoring it to
ARM.
In the Thumb-2 case, we can replace the initial NOPs with a
sequence which switches to Thumb and jumps to the real entry point.
As a consequence, the zImage entry point is now always ARM, so no
special magic is needed any more for the uImage rules in the
Thumb-2 case.

As long as the zImage is placed within the 128MB range from the start of
memory, ZRELADDR (Address where the decompressed kernel will be placed,
usually == PHYS_OFFSET + TEXT_OFFSET) can be determined at run-time by
masking PC with 0xf80000000.
Running through all the Makefile.boot, all those zreladdr-y
addresses == 0x[0-f][08]00_0000 + TEXT_OFFSET can be determined at
run-time.
Option CONFIG_AUTO_ZRELADDR and CONFIG_ZRELADDR are introduced,
CONFIG_ZRELADDR _must_ be explicitly specified if:
- ((zreladdr-y - TEXT_OFFSET) & ~0xf8000000) != 0, which means
masking PC with 0xf8000000 will result in an incorrect address.
Currently this is only a problem on u300.
- or the assumption of the zImage being loaded by the bootloader within
the first 128MB of RAM is incorrect
- or when ZBOOT_ROM is used, where the above assumption is usually wrong.

The kbuild system takes advantage of an incorrect behavior in GNU make.
Once this behavior is fixed, all files in the kernel rebuild every time,

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
