138b15ed87 drivers/net: remove all references to obsolete Ethernet-HOWTO
This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure
ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation
of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where
it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is
no value in anyone else taking over updating it either.

However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text
from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any
favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with
fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread.

No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text.

c156633f13 Renesas Ethernet AVB driver proper
Ethernet AVB includes an Gigabit Ethernet controller (E-MAC) that is basically
compatible with SuperH Gigabit Ethernet E-MAC. Ethernet AVB has a dedicated
direct memory access controller (AVB-DMAC) that is a new design compared to the
SuperH E-DMAC. The AVB-DMAC is compliant with 3 standards formulated for IEEE
802.1BA: IEEE 802.1AS timing and synchronization protocol, IEEE 802.1Qav real-
time transfer, and the IEEE 802.1Qat stream reservation protocol.

The driver only supports device tree probing, so the binding document is
included in this patch.

Based on the original patches by Mitsuhiro Kimura.

94a12b15e4 sh_eth: add R8A7791 support
Add support for yet another ARM member of the R-Car family, R-Car M2, also known
as R8A7791 -- it will share the code and data with previously added R8A7790.
Despite the Ether devices in these SoCs are indistinguishable at least from the
driver's point of view, we do introduce a new platform device ID "r8a7791-ether"
unlike the wildcard ID used for R8A7778/9 SoCs, due to newly established policy
for the Renesas SoCs.

a1606c7dc6 net: Move MII out from under NET_CORE and hide it
All drivers that select MII also need to select NET_CORE because MII
depends on it. This is a bit ridiculous because NET_CORE is just a
menu option that doesn't enable any code by itself.

There is also no need for it to be a visible option, since its users
all select it.

aaba215ca0 MII: fix Kconfig dependencies for MII
MII Kconfig option is apart of the core networking drivers and
by default NET_CORE is enabled so drivers selecting MII will
have MII enabled as well. It was found using the randconfig
option during testing, MII would be selected but NET_CORE
could be disabled. This caused a dependency error.

Resolved the dependency by selecting NET_CORE when MII is
selected.
