After calling peak_usb_netif_rx_ni(skb), dereferencing skb is unsafe.
Especially, the can_frame cf which aliases skb memory is accessed
after the peak_usb_netif_rx_ni().
Reordering the lines solves the issue.

In order to implement byte queue limits (bql) in CAN drivers, the length of the
CAN frame needs to be passed into the networking stack after queueing and after
transmission completion.
To avoid to calculate this length twice, extend can_get_echo_skb() to return
that value. Convert all users of this function, too.

Add a frame_len argument to can_put_echo_skb() which is used to save length of
the CAN frame into field frame_len of struct can_skb_priv so that it can be
later used after transmission completion. Convert all users of this function,
too.
Drivers which implement BQL call can_put_echo_skb() with the output of
can_skb_get_frame_len(skb) and drivers which do not simply pass zero as an
input (in the same way that NULL would be given to can_get_echo_skb()). This
way, we have a nice symmetry between the two echo functions.

The helper functions can_len2dlc and can_dlc2len are only relevant for
CAN FD data length code (DLC) conversion.
To fit the introduced can_cc_dlc2len for Classical CAN we rename:
can_dlc2len -> can_fd_dlc2len to get the payload length from the DLC
can_len2dlc -> can_fd_len2dlc to get the DLC from the payload length

The naming of can_dlc as element of struct can_frame and also as variable
name is misleading as it claims to be a 'data length CODE' but in reality
it always was a plain data length.
With the indroduction of a new 'len' element in struct can_frame we can now
remove can_dlc as name and make clear which of the former uses was a plain
length (-> 'len') or a data length code (-> 'dlc') value.

The get_can_dlc() macro is used to ensure the payload length information of
the Classical CAN frame to be max 8 bytes (the CAN_MAX_DLEN).
Rename the macro and use the correct constant in preparation of the len/dlc
cleanup for Classical CAN frames.

The left shift of int 32 bit integer constant 1 is evaluated using 32 bit
arithmetic and then assigned to a signed 64 bit variable. In the case where
time_ref->adapter->ts_used_bits is 32 or more this can lead to an oveflow.
Avoid this by shifting using the BIT_ULL macro instead.

Fabian Inostroza <fabianinostrozap@gmail.com> has discovered a potential
problem in the hardware timestamp reporting from the PCAN-USB USB CAN interface
(only), related to the fact that a timestamp of an event may precede the
timestamp used for synchronization when both records are part of the same USB
packet. However, this case was used to detect the wrapping of the time counter.
This patch details and fixes the two identified cases where this problem can
occur.

These values come from skb->data so Smatch considers them untrusted. I
believe Smatch is correct but I don't have a way to test this.
The usb_if->dev[] array has 2 elements but the index is in the 0-15
range without checks. The cfd->len can be up to 255 but the maximum
valid size is CANFD_MAX_DLEN (64) so that could lead to memory
corruption.

This patch adds the support of the rx/tx errors CAN counters to the
driver of the PCAN-USB PC-CAN interface from PEAK-System GmbH.
The PCAN-USB is capable of giving back the values of the rx/tx errors
counters, to provide more details and statistics to the linux-can layer.
Getting these values allows the driver to better tune CAN_ERR_CRTL_TX_xxx
and CAN_ERR_CRTL_RX_xxx bits in case of the interface enters any
CAN_STATE_ERROR_xxx state.

While the state changes are reported when the error counters increase
and decrease, there is no event when the bus recovers and the error
counters decrease again. So add those as well.
Change the state going downward to be ERROR_PASSIVE -> ERROR_WARNING ->
ERROR_ACTIVE instead of directly to ERROR_ACTIVE again.

Fix a small slab info leak due to a failure to clear the command buffer
at allocation.
The first 16 bytes of the command buffer are always sent to the device
in pcan_usb_send_cmd() even though only the first two may have been
initialised in case no argument payload is provided (e.g. when waiting
for a response).

When decoding a buffer received from PCAN-USB, the first timestamp read in
a packet is a 16-bit coded time base, and the next ones are an 8-bit
offset to this base, regardless of the type of packet read.
This patch corrects a potential loss of synchronization by using a
timestamp index read from the buffer, rather than an index of received
data packets, to determine on the sizeof the timestamp to be read from the
packet being decoded.

strncpy() does not ensure NULL-termination when the input string size
equals to the destination buffer size IFNAMSIZ. The output string is
passed to dev_info() which relies on the NULL-termination.
Use strlcpy() instead.
This issue is identified by a Coccinelle script.

When closing the CAN device while tx skbs are inflight, echo skb could
be released twice. By calling close_candev() before unlinking all
pending tx urbs, then the internal echo_skb[] array is fully and
correctly cleared before the USB write callback and, therefore,
can_get_echo_skb() are called, for each aborted URB.

The BPF verifier conflict was some minor contextual issue.
The TUN conflict was less trivial. Cong Wang fixed a memory leak of
tfile->tx_array in 'net'. This is an skb_array. But meanwhile in
net-next tun changed tfile->tx_arry into tfile->tx_ring which is a
ptr_ring.

In some rare conditions when running one PEAK USB-FD interface over
a non high-speed USB controller, one useless USB fragment might be sent.
This patch fixes the way a USB command is fragmented when its length is
greater than 64 bytes and when the underlying USB controller is not a
high-speed one.

This changes the calculation of the timestamps to use ktime_t
instead of struct timeval as the base. This gets rid of one
of the few remaining users of the deprecated ktime_to_timeval()
and timeval_to_ktime() helpers.
The code should also get more efficient, as we have now removed
all of the divisions.
I have left the cut-off for resetting the counters as 4.200
seconds, in order to leave the behavior unchanged otherwise.

We want to remove 'struct timeval' and related interfaces since this is
generally not safe for use beyond 2038.
For peak_usb, we can simplify the internal interface by using ktime_t
directly. This should not change any behavior, but it avoids a few
conversions.

This patch adds the support of the PCAN-Chip USB, a stamp module for
customer hardware designs, which communicates via USB 2.0 with the
hardware. The integrated CAN controller supports the protocols CAN 2.0 A/B
as well as CAN FD. The physical CAN connection is determined by external
wiring. The Stamp module with its single-sided mounting and plated
half-holes is suitable for automatic assembly.
Note that the chip is equipped with the same logic than the PCAN-USB FD.

The CAN-FD IP from PEAK-System runs into several kinds of PC CAN-FD
interfaces. Up to now, only the USB CAN-FD adapters were supported by
the Kernel. In order to prepare the adding of some new non-USB CAN-FD
interfaces, this patch moves - and rename - the IP definitions file
from its private (usb) sub-directory into a - newly created - CAN specific
one.

This patch fixes the wrong usage of a specific USB data type into a common
header file. This common header file is intended to define the common data
types and values that define access to the PEAK-System CAN-FD IP, whatever

Fix for bad memory access while disconnecting. netdev is freed before
private data free, and dev is accessed after freeing netdev.
This makes a slub problem, and it raise kernel oops with slub debugger
config.

This adds support for PEAK-System PCAN-USB X6 USB to CAN interface.
The CAN FD adapter PCAN-USB X6 allows the connection of up to 6 CAN FD
or CAN networks to a computer via USB. The interface is installed in an
aluminum profile casing and is shipped in versions with D-Sub connectors
or M12 circular connectors.
The PCAN-USB X6 registers in the USB sub-system as if 3x PCAN-USB-Pro FD
adapters were plugged. So, this patch:
- updates the PEAK_USB entry of the corresponding Kconfig file
- defines and adds the device id. of the PCAN-USB X6 (0x0014) into the
table of supported device ids
- defines and adds the new software structure implementing the PCAN-USB X6,
which is obviously a clone of the software structure implementing the
PCAN-USB Pro FD.

This fixes the bitimings fields ranges supported by all the CAN-FD USB
interfaces of the PEAK-System CAN-FD adapters.
Very first development versions of the IP core API defined smaller TSGEx
and SJW fields for both nominal and data bittimings records than the
production versions. This patch fixes them by enlarging their sizes to
the actual values:

Note that this has no other consequences than offering larger choice to
bitrate encoding.

The CAN FD data bittiming constants are provided via netlink only when there
are valid CAN FD constants available in priv->data_bittiming_const.
Due to the indirection of pointer assignments in the peak_usb driver the
priv->data_bittiming_const never becomes NULL - not even for non-FD adapters.
The data_bittiming_const points to zero'ed data which leads to this result
when running 'ip -details link show can0':

This patch changes the struct peak_usb_adapter::bittiming_const and struct
peak_usb_adapter::data_bittiming_const to pointers to fix the assignemnt
problems.
